Apple Pay casino apps UK

Apple Pay casino apps UK players can rely on include Coral, Ladbrokes and Casumo, which publish Apple Pay for deposits and withdrawals, and PlayOJO, which names it on its help page. 10bet appears with Apple Pay only in third-party reviews. Below we rank them on payouts, bonus rules and how safely Apple Pay fits into each app.

Key takeaways

  • Coral, Ladbrokes and Casumo publish Apple Pay both ways; PlayOJO names it for payments; 10bet's list comes from third-party reviews.
  • Casumo says Apple Pay withdrawals arrive instantly after approval, and its iPhone listing pairs Apple Pay with Quick Deposit.
  • None of the five partner offers names Apple Pay as an excluded method, but Coral excludes certain debit cards, so check the card behind it.
  • Only a debit card behind Apple Pay will work for gambling, because credit cards are banned in Great Britain.
  • Apple Pay makes deposits very quick, so set a deposit limit before your first one.

Which casino apps accept Apple Pay in the UK?

Four of our five partners name Apple Pay on their own pages. Coral, Ladbrokes and Casumo list it for deposits and withdrawals, and PlayOJO names it among its payment methods. For 10bet, Apple Pay deposits appear in third-party reviews but not on 10bet's own help centre, so confirm in the app's cashier.

Apple Pay suits iPhone casino apps well: you confirm with Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode, and the casino never receives your actual card number. The trade-off is speed. A deposit that takes two seconds is also a deposit that's easy to repeat, which is why this ranking weighs limits and payout routes as heavily as convenience.

Every payment and device ranking we publish sits on our best casino apps hub.

How Apple Pay works inside a casino app

Apple's Apple Pay security and privacy overview (opens in a new tab) explains the mechanics. Your original card number isn't stored by Apple. Instead, a Device Account Number held in your iPhone's Secure Element is used, and each payment is approved with Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode. Apple says it doesn't charge fees for Apple Pay, though your bank may charge for overseas use.

For a casino app, that means the operator handles a payment token rather than your card details. The money still comes from the card you added to Wallet, so the card type matters. Credit cards can't be used to gamble in Great Britain, so in practice only a debit card behind Apple Pay will be accepted for a casino deposit.

How we ranked Apple Pay casino apps

Only our five partners are ranked, and the order rests on published facts, not on payments made by us. We looked for:

  1. Apple Pay confirmed on the operator's own pages, for deposits and ideally withdrawals.
  2. A published payout time and fee position.
  3. Whether an Apple Pay first deposit counts for the welcome offer.
  4. How well the iPhone app itself fits, from the App Store listing: standalone or sportsbook app, iOS version and size.
  5. Support you can reach if a payment goes wrong.

Best Apple Pay casino apps UK, ranked

1. Coral Casino: Apple Pay in and out, no withdrawal fees

Coral's help centre lists Apple Pay for both deposits and withdrawals, and its deposit methods page (opens in a new tab) caps single UK deposits at £2,000. Coral says it doesn't charge withdrawal fees, and that payouts take from instantly to five banking days after its internal review depending on the method; an Apple Pay-specific time isn't published. The UK has a limit of three active payment methods per rolling 30 days at Coral, so plan which ones you keep.

Coral Casino: Slots & Games is a standalone casino app from Entain, 101.6 MB and needing iOS 18.0 or later, which rules out older iPhones. Apple Pay isn't among the methods excluded from Coral's welcome offer, though 'certain debit cards' are. See the Coral iPhone app page.

2. Ladbrokes Casino: identical payment rules

Ladbrokes shares Coral's operator, LC International Limited, and its help pages confirm Apple Pay withdrawals as well as deposits, the same £2,000 deposit cap and no withdrawal fees. Its iOS app, Ladbrokes Casino Games & Slots, is a separate casino download at 101.2 MB on iOS 18.0 or later.

Apple Pay isn't named in the Ladbrokes offer exclusions either. It sits second because it mirrors Coral rather than improving on it, and because one person may not be able to hold new accounts at both Entain brands. More on the Ladbrokes payments page.

3. PlayOJO: named on the help page, small app

PlayOJO's help page names Apple Pay with debit cards, Payz and Trustly. It says most payments are processed within a few hours, money goes back to the deposit method where possible, and you can withdraw as little as you want. It doesn't spell out Apple Pay withdrawals separately, so check the cashier when you cash out.

PlayOJO Real Money Casino is the lightest app here at 25.4 MB and runs on iOS 15.0 or later. Its welcome offer doesn't name any excluded payment methods. Note that PlayOJO says some deposit methods can take up to 3 working days to be credited, so check how quickly Apple Pay shows in your balance. See PlayOJO withdrawals.

4. Casumo: the most Apple Pay-focused iPhone app

Casumo goes furthest in tying Apple Pay into the app. Its App Store listing names Apple Pay and Quick Deposit as features, alongside Face ID and Touch ID login. Its UK homepage (opens in a new tab) lists Apple Pay for deposits and says Apple Pay withdrawals arrive instantly after approval, which its policy puts at within 3 days at most.

Casumo ranks fourth because of a £3 fee on withdrawals under £10, a £10 minimum deposit, and a welcome bonus that says payment restrictions apply without naming them publicly. On iOS it's a combined casino and sportsbook app (52.5 MB, iOS 15.0 or later). Read the Casumo iPhone app page.

5. 10bet: Apple Pay per reviews, phone support included

Third-party reviews list Apple Pay for 10bet deposits, but 10bet's help centre doesn't name methods and only gives withdrawal categories: debit cards and e-wallets up to 2 business days, bank transfers up to 3. Its app, 10bet: Sports Betting & Casino, is a sportsbook first, listed under Sports at 112.3 MB and needing iOS 16.0 or later.

On the plus side, 10bet publishes a UK phone line, 0808 175 0550, open 08:00 to 23:00 daily. Its offer excludes Skrill and Neteller, not Apple Pay. Check the cashier before relying on Apple Pay here.

Withdrawals normally go back to the method you deposited with, so if you pay in by Apple Pay, plan to cash out the same way where the app supports it. For speed across every method, our fast withdrawal casino apps page ranks the published times.

Do Apple Pay deposits count for casino app bonuses?

On the published terms, yes at most partners. Not one of the five offers names Apple Pay as an excluded method, which makes Apple Pay a better fit for a first deposit than PayPal or Skrill at Coral and Ladbrokes. There are two caveats.

  • Coral's offer excludes 'certain debit cards' without listing them publicly, and Apple Pay draws on a card in your Wallet. If your card is one of those, the deposit may not qualify.
  • Casumo says payment restrictions apply to its bonus but doesn't name the methods on the pages we could read, so open the bonus terms in the app first.

In pounds, the offers at stake range from £8 of spins at face value (PlayOJO's 80 spins at 10p) to a £100 bonus at Casumo on a £200 deposit. A bonus never changes the house edge: wagering £100 through a slot with a 96% RTP still costs about £4 on average. The 10x wagering cap that applies in the UK is explained on our wagering cap page.

How to deposit with Apple Pay in a casino app

Labels vary by app, so follow what's on screen. The general route is:

  1. Add a debit card to the Wallet app on your iPhone, following your bank's verification.
  2. Download the casino app from the App Store and check the seller matches the operator.
  3. Register, verify your identity and set a deposit limit when the app asks; UK apps must prompt you before the first deposit.
  4. Open the cashier, choose Apple Pay and type the amount.
  5. Confirm with Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode.
  6. Check the balance has updated and the payment appears in your transaction history.

Our step-by-step guide to depositing with Apple Pay in a casino app covers declined payments and verification hold-ups. If Face ID login matters as much as Face ID payments, see casino apps with Face ID login.

Fast deposits need firm limits

The thing that makes Apple Pay pleasant is the thing to watch. A confirmed glance at the screen is all it takes to add money, with no card to fetch and no number to type. Gambling should be a cost you've budgeted for, and the house edge means losses are the likely result over time.

Three tools help. First, the app's deposit limit, which applies to Apple Pay like any other method. Second, your bank: HSBC's gambling restrictions page (opens in a new tab) says its debit card block covers digital wallets, so an HSBC card in Apple Pay is blocked too. Third, iPhone Screen Time, which can limit or block apps; see blocking casino apps with Screen Time.

Choosing an Apple Pay casino app for your iPhone

  • Older iPhone? Coral and Ladbrokes need iOS 18.0; PlayOJO and Casumo run on iOS 15.0, and 10bet on iOS 16.0.
  • Want Apple Pay withdrawals? Coral, Ladbrokes and Casumo publish them; elsewhere, check the cashier.
  • Cashing out small amounts? Avoid Casumo's £3 fee by withdrawing £10 or more, or use Coral or Ladbrokes, which publish no fees.
  • Want the welcome offer? Apple Pay isn't a named exclusion at any partner, but confirm your debit card qualifies at Coral.
  • Only play casino? Coral, Ladbrokes and PlayOJO have standalone casino apps; Casumo and 10bet combine casino with sports.

Android owners should look at our Google Pay casino apps list, and our best casino apps for iPhone ranking covers the App Store details in more depth.

What to avoid with Apple Pay casino apps

  • Adding a credit card to Wallet and expecting it to work: gambling on credit cards is banned in Great Britain, as our page on the credit card ban explains.
  • Apps you can't find on the UK App Store, or whose seller doesn't match a Gambling Commission licence holder.
  • Assuming Apple Pay withdrawals are available everywhere; at PlayOJO and 10bet they aren't stated, so you may be paid another way.
  • Small withdrawals at an app that charges for them.
  • Topping up mid-session because it's quick. Decide your budget before you open the app.

Frequently asked questions

Which casino apps accept Apple Pay in the UK?

Coral, Ladbrokes and Casumo publish Apple Pay for deposits and withdrawals, and PlayOJO names Apple Pay on its help page. 10bet is listed with Apple Pay deposits by third-party reviews only. Outside our partners, BetMGM, Virgin Games, Jackpotjoy and Midnite publish Apple Pay on their own help pages. Payment lists change, so check the app's cashier before you sign up. Our answer to which casino apps accept Apple Pay is kept up to date.

Can I withdraw to Apple Pay from a casino app?

Yes, at some apps. Coral, Ladbrokes and Casumo publish Apple Pay withdrawals, and Casumo says they arrive instantly once approved. PlayOJO and 10bet don't state Apple Pay withdrawals, so you may be paid to your card or bank instead. Withdrawals usually go back to the method you deposited with under a closed-loop policy. The process is set out step by step in how to withdraw from a casino app.

Does Apple Pay count for casino welcome bonuses?

Usually, on the published terms. None of the five partner offers names Apple Pay as an excluded method. However, Coral excludes certain debit cards without naming them, and Apple Pay uses a card in your Wallet, while Casumo says payment restrictions apply. Check the offer terms in the app before your first deposit. What to look for is covered in how to claim a bonus in a casino app.

Can I use a credit card in Apple Pay to gamble?

No. Credit cards have been banned for gambling in Great Britain since 14 April 2020, and Apple Pay simply pays with the card you've added to Wallet. If that card is a credit card, a UK-licensed casino app should refuse the payment. Add a debit card instead, and keep it as the card you choose at checkout. Our page on using a credit card on a casino app explains the rule.

Is Apple Pay safe for casino deposits?

Apple Pay is one of the more private ways to pay, because Apple says merchants don't receive your original card number and each payment needs Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode. Safety also depends on the casino, so use only UK-licensed apps from the App Store and check the operator on the Gambling Commission register. For the wider checks, see our guide to whether casino apps are safe.

Does Apple charge a fee for Apple Pay casino deposits?

No. Apple says it doesn't charge fees for using Apple Pay, though your bank may charge for overseas use. Casino withdrawal fees are a separate matter: Coral and Ladbrokes say they charge none, Casumo charges £3 on withdrawals below £10, and PlayOJO and 10bet don't publish a fee. Fees across the market are compared on our casino app withdrawal fees page.

Can my bank block Apple Pay casino payments?

Some banks can. HSBC says its debit card gambling restriction covers digital wallets, so an HSBC card in Apple Pay is blocked when the restriction is on. Other banks' blocks work on card merchant codes and may or may not catch wallet payments, so check your bank's own help page. Our answer to whether your bank can block casino app payments lists the banks that offer blocks.

Which Apple Pay casino app pays out fastest?

On published figures, Casumo is the quickest for Apple Pay specifically, saying withdrawals arrive instantly after approval. Coral and Ladbrokes give a range of instantly to five banking days after review, depending on the method, without an Apple Pay figure. Remember that approval comes first and can take longer if identity checks are outstanding. See which casino app pays out fastest for every method.
