Casino app payment methods vary more than most people expect, even between apps run by the same group. The table shows what each partner publishes for deposits. Where a method isn't listed, it may still appear in the cashier, so check there before you rely on it.

Casino app withdrawals: speed and fees

Withdrawal speed has two parts: the operator's approval, then the payment method's own transfer time. Coral and Ladbrokes say Visa Fast Funds approval typically takes a couple of hours, then up to 4 hours to reach your bank. Casumo says PayPal, Apple Pay, Skrill, Neteller and MuchBetter pay instantly after approval, with cards up to 2 days and bank transfers up to 5 days.

Fees are usually zero but not always. Coral and Ladbrokes say they charge no withdrawal fees, while Casumo charges £3 on withdrawals below £10. 10bet says debit cards and e-wallets take up to 2 business days and bank transfers up to 3, while PlayOJO says it processes most payments within a few hours. Times are the operators' own published figures, so treat them as a guide rather than a promise.

Our pages on withdrawal fees and the fastest withdrawal methods compare them all. Before your first withdrawal, finish verification, because unverified accounts are often held until documents are checked.

UK payment rules every casino app follows

  • No credit cards. Credit card gambling has been banned in Great Britain since 14 April 2020, including through e-wallets funded by a credit card. The Gambling Commission's credit card ban announcement (opens in a new tab) sets out the rule.
  • No reverse withdrawals. Once you request a withdrawal, you can't cancel it to keep playing.
  • Closed loop. Operators generally pay back to the method you deposited with, where they can.
  • Limits on new methods. Coral and Ladbrokes cap UK customers at three active payment methods per rolling 30 days.

Payment methods excluded from welcome offers

Several partner offers exclude e-wallets and prepaid methods. Coral excludes Neteller, PayPal, Paysafe, Skrill, prepaid cards and certain debit cards, and 10bet excludes Skrill and Neteller deposits. Always check the offer terms (18+, terms apply) before choosing how to make a first deposit. Ladbrokes excludes prepaid cards, PayPal, Paysafe, Neteller, Skrill and Moneybookers deposits from its spins offer. If you want an offer, a debit card or bank payment is usually the safest choice, but read the exclusions first because some debit cards are excluded too. Our page on payment methods excluded from bonuses lists the details.

Bank gambling blocks and payment control

Many UK banks let you block gambling payments from your card or account, including Barclays, HSBC, Lloyds, Monzo, NatWest, Santander and Starling. The Gambling Commission lists them in its guide to blocking gambling transactions (opens in a new tab). If you use a digital bank, see using Monzo with casino apps or using Starling with casino apps, and our bank gambling blocks guide explains how each block works.

Blocks work best when they're hard to undo on impulse. Some banks build in a cooling-off delay before a block can be switched off, which gives you time to think again.

Frequently asked questions

Which casino apps accept PayPal?

Among our partners, Coral, Ladbrokes and Casumo list PayPal on their own pages, and 10bet is reported to accept it. PlayOJO's help page doesn't name PayPal, so check its cashier. Coral and Ladbrokes say PayPal withdrawals need a PayPal deposit in the last 6 months. PayPal deposits don't qualify for some welcome offers. See PayPal casino apps and which casino apps accept PayPal.

Can I use Apple Pay on a casino app?

Yes, all five partner apps list Apple Pay, though 10bet's listing comes from a third-party review rather than its own help pages. Apple Pay uses Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode, and Apple doesn't share your card number with the merchant. Some banks' gambling blocks also cover digital wallets. Read Apple Pay casino apps and how to deposit with Apple Pay.

What is the minimum deposit on casino apps?

It varies. Casumo says its minimum is £10 for all methods, though its welcome offer needs £20. Coral and Ladbrokes publish £5 for Google Pay and pay by bank and show other minimums in the cashier. PlayOJO and 10bet don't publish a general minimum. Offers often need £10 or more. See casino app minimum deposits and can I deposit £5 on a casino app.

Is there a fee to withdraw from a casino app?

Usually not. Coral and Ladbrokes say they charge no withdrawal fees. Casumo charges £3 on withdrawals below £10 and nothing at £10 or more. PlayOJO and 10bet don't publish fee details, so check the cashier before you request a payout. Your bank may charge for overseas transactions. Read casino app withdrawal fees and is there a fee to withdraw.

Why can't I use a credit card on a casino app?

Gambling with a credit card has been banned in Great Britain since 14 April 2020, and the ban covers e-wallets topped up with a credit card. The rule exists to stop people gambling with borrowed money. Use a debit card, a bank payment or an e-wallet funded from your bank account instead. Our pages on the credit card ban and debit card casino deposits explain the details.

Can I block casino payments with my bank?

Yes, many UK banks offer a gambling block in their app. Some, such as Lloyds and Starling, add a 48-hour delay before you can turn the block off, and HSBC's debit card block also covers digital wallets. A bank block works alongside app limits and GAMSTOP. Our guides to gambling blocks on banking apps and can my bank block casino app payments explain the options.
