How to withdraw from a casino app
To withdraw from a casino app, open the cashier, choose withdraw, pick the method you deposited with, enter an amount and confirm. The operator then reviews the request before paying. Most UK apps send money back to the original method, and some ask for ID first, so knowing the rules saves delays.
Key takeaways
- Withdrawals normally go back to the method you deposited with, under a closed-loop policy.
- UK operators can’t let you cancel a withdrawal once requested, and can’t confiscate funds because you missed an ID deadline.
- Fees vary: Coral and Ladbrokes charge none, while Casumo charges £3 on withdrawals under £10.
- If a payout stalls, complain to the operator first; it has 8 weeks before you can go to ADR.
- Cancel a request?
- Not allowed (since 31 October 2021)
- Coral and Ladbrokes fees
- None
- Casumo fee
- £3 under £10
- PlayOJO minimum
- Any amount
- Complaint window
- 8 weeks, then ADR
How to withdraw from a casino app in six steps
The exact screens differ from app to app, but every UK-licensed casino follows roughly the same sequence. Here is the order of events from your side of the phone.
- Log in and open your account or cashier area, then choose the withdraw option.
- Check your withdrawable balance. Bonus funds and pending bets are often shown separately and may not be available yet.
- Select a withdrawal method. The app will usually offer the method you deposited with first, or only that one.
- Enter the amount, keeping any published minimum in mind (for example £5 for Google Pay or Fast Bank Transfer at Coral and Ladbrokes).
- Confirm the request, and upload any documents the operator asks for through its own upload tool.
- Keep an eye on your transaction history for the status change from pending to approved or paid.
This guide is part of our casino app guides. For a timing breakdown by method, see our companion page on how long casino app withdrawals take.
What to sort out before a casino app withdrawal
Most slow payouts trace back to something that could have been fixed before the request went in. These checks take a few minutes.
| Check | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Your account is fully verified | Age and identity must be confirmed before you can deposit, and extra documents can still be requested later |
| The deposit method is still open | Money usually returns to the method you paid with, so a closed card or wallet causes delays |
| Any bonus is finished or forfeited | Some offers remove bonus money and its winnings if you withdraw before wagering is complete |
| The amount meets the minimum | Minimums vary by method, and Casumo charges £3 below £10 |
| Your name matches the payment method | Operators’ deposit pages set out own-name payment rules |
If you’ve not yet been asked for documents, our guide to what documents casino apps ask for shows the usual list, so you can have them ready.
Choosing a withdrawal method: the closed-loop rule
Closed loop means money goes back the way it came. It’s an anti-fraud measure, and it’s why a casino app may not let you pick any method you like when you cash out. Both Coral and Ladbrokes describe their policy as closed loop, and PlayOJO says withdrawals go back to the deposit method where possible.
Their help pages also set some method-specific conditions. The table below draws on those pages. For the wider picture, our page on the fastest withdrawal methods compares methods across apps.
| Method | Withdrawals? | Condition published |
|---|---|---|
| Visa debit (Fast Funds) | Yes | Approval typically a couple of hours, then typically up to 4 hours to reach the bank |
| PayPal | Yes | Needs a PayPal deposit in the last 6 months |
| Apple Pay and Google Pay | Yes | Google Pay withdrawals are paid to the underlying card |
| Pay by Bank | Yes | Listed for both deposits and withdrawals |
| paysafecard | Yes | Needs a previous paysafecard deposit (account only, no vouchers) |
| Fast Bank Transfer | Yes, withdrawal-only | £5 minimum; 2 to 4 business days once approved |
If you deposited with a voucher or a card that has since expired, contact support before requesting. They can tell you which alternative route they’ll accept, usually a bank account in your name. Our bank transfer withdrawals page explains that option.
Casino app withdrawal rules compared: fees, minimums and review
Here is what each of our five partners publishes. Where a figure isn’t published, we say so instead of filling the gap.
| App | Minimum withdrawal | Fees | Review stage |
|---|---|---|---|
| Coral | £5 for Fast Bank Transfer and Google Pay; no general minimum published | None | Internal approval by a review team |
| Ladbrokes | £5 for Fast Bank Transfer and Google Pay; no general minimum published | None | Internal approval by a review team |
| PlayOJO | Says you can withdraw as little as you want | Not published | Most payments processed within a few hours |
| Casumo | Not published | £3 below £10; none at £10 or more | Approved or denied within 3 days, often within hours |
| 10bet | Not published | Not published | No separate pending time published |
Each app has its own page with the detail: Coral withdrawals, Ladbrokes withdrawals, PlayOJO withdrawals, Casumo withdrawals and 10bet withdrawals.
Withdrawing small amounts: a worked example
Small balances are where fees bite. Take a £8 balance at Casumo. Its withdrawal policy (opens in a new tab) applies a £3 fee below £10, so you would receive £5, losing 37.5% of the amount. At £10 or more, no fee applies.
The same £8 at Coral or Ladbrokes would carry no fee, but only methods with a published £5 minimum give you certainty that the amount is accepted. PlayOJO says there’s no minimum at all. Our withdrawal fees page compares charges more widely.
Withdrawing from a casino app with a bonus active
Bonus money is where most confusion starts. Many apps keep your own cash and bonus funds as separate balances, and the Gambling Commission’s guidance on withdrawing deposits and deposit winnings (opens in a new tab) expects players to be able to withdraw their deposit balance while a bonus is active.
What you usually can’t do is take the bonus or its winnings before you’ve met the conditions. 10bet’s help centre, for example, says withdrawing before wagering is complete forfeits the bonus and its winnings. Since 19 January 2026, wagering can’t exceed 10 times the bonus, which makes conditions easier to finish but doesn’t change the house edge on every bet.
Spin offers with no wagering, such as those from our partners, pay winnings as cash once the spins are played. Read the offer terms in the app before you request a payout, and see our guide on how wagering works in casino apps for the maths.
ID checks at withdrawal: what UK rules allow
Age and identity have to be verified before you deposit, so most accounts are already checked by the time you cash out. Operators can still ask for more, and PlayOJO says documents may be requested after a first withdrawal request, with limits applying until verification is complete.
The Commission sets two clear limits on this. A business can’t make proof of age or ID a condition of withdrawing if it could have asked earlier, unless the law requires it at that point. And it can’t confiscate your money because you didn’t verify within a time limit.
PlayOJO says it aims to verify documents within 12 hours and to contact support if you’ve heard nothing within 48 hours. It asks for uploads through its own tool rather than email. Our guide on how casino apps verify your identity explains the checks in more depth.
What happens after you request a casino app withdrawal
Once you confirm, the request usually shows as pending while the operator reviews it. At Coral and Ladbrokes, this internal approval comes first, and their quoted method times are added on top. Their withdrawal timeframes help page (opens in a new tab) puts the range at instantly to five banking days depending on method.
During this stage you can’t cancel the request and put the money back into play. That ban on reverse withdrawals, rule RTS 14B, has applied to all remote operators since 31 October 2021, as the Commission’s reverse withdrawal decision (opens in a new tab) explains. Our page on the reverse withdrawal ban has the background.
If a request sits at pending for longer than the operator’s published time, our guide to a casino app withdrawal pending lists the common causes.
Your withdrawal rights in UK casino apps
The Commission’s consumer page I can’t withdraw my winnings (opens in a new tab) sets out what you can expect from a licensed operator.
- You can withdraw at any time without unreasonable delay or restriction.
- You don’t have to accept your money in instalments.
- Your money can’t be confiscated because you didn’t log in or verify within a time limit.
- ID can’t be made a condition of withdrawal if it could reasonably have been requested earlier.
- You can’t be offered the option to cancel a withdrawal once requested.
There’s no regulatory maximum processing time, so operators publish their own. Those published times are what you can hold them to. Read about customer funds protection to see what happens to balances if an operator fails.
Casino app withdrawal problems: how to escalate
Most delays clear once a document is uploaded or a method issue is fixed. If they don’t, there is a formal route.
- Contact the operator’s support through live chat or email and ask exactly what is holding the withdrawal.
- If you’re not satisfied, make a formal complaint under the operator’s published complaints procedure and keep a record.
- The operator has 8 weeks to resolve it. If it can’t, it must offer referral to its alternative dispute resolution (ADR) provider.
- Take the complaint to that ADR provider. ADR is free and independent, and providers must allow at least 12 months from the operator’s final response.
The Commission doesn’t resolve individual complaints, but it does want to hear about operators who break the rules. Our guide on how to complain about a casino app covers what to include.
Casino apps with clear withdrawal rules
Coral and Ladbrokes publish the most detail on withdrawal methods, minimums and fees of our partners, and PlayOJO publishes a no-minimum policy and a quick processing aim. That clarity is why they appear below. Withdrawal times still vary by method, and offers are 18+ with terms applying.
Coral: bet £10 on slots, get 100 free spins. New players; between 1 October 2026 and 1 February 2027, deposit (certain types excluded) and bet £10 or more on slots. Spins are 10p each on selected games, accepted within 48 hours and valid for 7 days, with no wagering on winnings. Neteller, PayPal, Paysafe, Skrill, prepaid cards and certain debit cards don’t qualify.
Ladbrokes: play £10 on slots, get up to 500 free spins. New customers depositing and spending £10 or more on slots receive 50 spins a day for the first 10 days, 10p each on selected games, claimed before 23:59 each day and valid for 7 days, with no wagering. Prepaid cards, PayPal, Paysafe, Neteller, Skrill and Moneybookers deposits don’t qualify. As Coral and Ladbrokes share an operator, you may not be able to hold new accounts at both.
PlayOJO: 80 free spins, no wagering, for new UK customers outside Northern Ireland making a first deposit of at least £10. Spins are on Big Bass Bonanza at 10p each and winnings are paid in cash; the offer can’t be combined with others and is available only through the designated offer link.

Frequently asked questions
How do I withdraw money from a casino app?
Open the cashier, choose withdraw, select the method you deposited with, enter the amount and confirm. The operator reviews the request before paying it, and it may ask for documents if your account needs more checks. Your transaction history will show the status. Our withdrawal glossary entry explains the terms you’ll see, and our Coral withdrawals page shows one app’s rules in full.
Can I withdraw to a different method than I deposited with?
Usually not at first. UK casino apps typically run a closed-loop policy, sending money back to the method you used to deposit where possible. Some methods carry conditions too: at Coral and Ladbrokes, for example, PayPal withdrawals need a PayPal deposit in the last 6 months. If your original method is closed, support can tell you which alternative they accept. See our PayPal casino apps page for that method’s rules.
Can I cancel a withdrawal in a casino app?
No. Since 31 October 2021, UK operators must not give you the option to cancel a withdrawal request, a rule known as RTS 14B. The aim is to stop people reversing a cash-out and playing the money away. Once requested, the money is on its way to you. Our answer on whether you can cancel a withdrawal in a casino app covers the detail.
Is there a fee to withdraw from a casino app?
It depends on the operator. Neither Coral nor Ladbrokes charges withdrawal fees, according to their help pages. Casumo charges £3 on withdrawals under £10 and nothing at £10 or more. PlayOJO and 10bet don’t publish a fee on the pages we checked, so look at the cashier before confirming. Our answer to is there a fee to withdraw from a casino app compares them.
Why does a casino app ask for ID when I withdraw?
Operators must verify your age and identity before you deposit, but they can request further documents later, for example after a first withdrawal request. The Commission says they can’t make ID a condition of withdrawal if they could have asked earlier, unless the law requires it at that point. Upload what’s asked promptly through the operator’s own tool. Our verification failed guide helps when uploads are rejected.
Can I withdraw my deposit if I have a bonus running?
Generally your own deposit balance should be withdrawable, and many apps keep it separate from bonus funds. What you usually lose is the bonus itself and any winnings from it if wagering isn’t complete; 10bet says so in its help centre. Check the offer terms before you request. Our guide to reading casino app bonus terms shows where to find the withdrawal clause.
What can I do if a casino app won’t pay my withdrawal?
Start with the operator’s support, then use its formal complaints procedure. The operator has 8 weeks to resolve your complaint, after which it must offer referral to an ADR provider, which is free and independent. Keep screenshots of your transaction history and messages. Our page on complaints and ADR rules explains each stage and the time limits.
What is the minimum withdrawal on casino apps?
There isn’t one standard figure. Coral and Ladbrokes publish £5 for Fast Bank Transfer and Google Pay but no general minimum. PlayOJO says you can withdraw as little as you want. Casumo and 10bet don’t publish a minimum, though Casumo’s £3 fee below £10 makes small withdrawals costly. Our fast withdrawal casino apps list sets the figures side by side.
