Casumo Android app at a glance

Casumo has a real-money app on Google Play in the UK. Google only allows these after the developer completes its gambling application process and shows a valid licence for each country, so the listing itself is a useful sign you're in the right place.

Reading the Casumo Google Play listing

Three names appear around the Casumo Android app, and it helps to know which is which:

• Casumo - Live Casino & Slots is the app's title on Google Play.
• Casumo Services Limited is the developer that publishes it.
• Recro Limited (Malta) holds the UK remote casino licence, active since 21 December 2023, under Gambling Commission account 61549 (opens in a new tab).

A developer name that differs from the licence holder is common in the industry, where one company builds and publishes apps and another holds the licence. The register is the place to confirm who you're dealing with, and Casumo's terms name Recro Limited as the operator.

PEGI 18 and the in-game purchases flag explained

Google's gambling application form lists an 'Adults Only' rating among the features a real-money app must have, and PEGI 18 is the adult rating shown on UK listings. On top of the age rating, Casumo's listing flags in-game purchases, including random items.

That label is a standard rating descriptor, and the listing doesn't explain why it appears. It doesn't mean you pay through Google: Google's real-money gambling policy (opens in a new tab) says gambling apps must be free to download and must not use Google Play's in-app billing. Deposits go through Casumo's own cashier instead.

Casumo Android data safety section

Google Play's data safety section is the Android counterpart to Apple's privacy label. Casumo's says the app may share location data and collects personal info, financial info and other types; that data is encrypted in transit; and you can ask for it to be deleted.

The two formats don't map neatly, so neither is 'better'; read each on its own terms. Casumo's operator help pages don't explain the location sharing. How to install the Casumo Android app from Google Play

1. Make sure the Google account on your phone has the United Kingdom as its country.
2. Open the Play Store app and search for Casumo - Live Casino & Slots.
3. Check the developer reads Casumo Services Limited and the rating is PEGI 18.
4. Look at the compatibility note on the listing; the Play Store shows on your phone whether your device can install it.
5. Scroll to the data safety section and read what the app collects.
6. Tap Install and wait for the download to finish.
7. Open the app, then log in or register; age and identity must be verified before you can deposit or play.

Why you should only install Casumo from Google Play

Android lets you install apps from outside the Play Store using APK files, a practice called sideloading. With Casumo available on Google Play in the UK, there's no reason to do that, and good reasons not to.

• Play Store apps pass Google's checks, and Google Play Protect runs a safety check before download.
• Google requires gambling developers to hold a valid licence for each country they serve and to block under-18s.
• A file from a link in a text or social post could be altered or fake, and won't update through the store.
• Since Android 8.0, sideloading needs you to approve the app that does the installing, which is a deliberate warning step.

Casumo on Samsung, Pixel and Android tablets

Google Play's web pages no longer show a minimum Android version for apps; the store shows compatibility on the device itself. So the quickest check is to open the listing on the phone you want to use. If the Install button appears, the app supports it.

Menu names differ between manufacturers, but the app is the same on a Samsung Galaxy, a Google Pixel or another Android phone. Larger screens on Android tablets can make live casino tables easier to see.

Paying in and cashing out on the Casumo Android app

Casumo's homepage says the minimum deposit is £10 for every payment method. It names Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, PayPal, Trustly, Paysafecard, Skrill and Instant Banking for deposits. Google Pay isn't in that list, so Android users shouldn't count on it; check the cashier for the current options.

Casumo says withdrawals are reviewed and processed within a matter of hours, with its policy allowing up to 3 days for approval. A £3 fee applies to withdrawals below £10. What the Casumo app offers on Android

Casumo's store listings describe slots, live casino and sportsbook, plus several app features: Quick Launch of the last four slots played, Quick Deposit, a home screen widget, a haptic feedback toggle, Reel Races with real-time updates, and The Adventure and Trophy Collection rewards with a levelling avatar. Casumo's homepage puts the game count at 6,000+.

Face ID and Touch ID login is stated in the iPhone listing only, so we can't confirm fingerprint or face login on Android; check the app's login screen. Safer gambling on your Android phone

Alongside Casumo's own limits, Android has tools that work at the phone level. Digital Wellbeing app timers close an app when its daily allowance runs out, and its icon dims until midnight. Focus mode pauses chosen apps and their notifications, as Google describes in its Digital Wellbeing help (opens in a new tab).
