Casino apps on Google Pixel

Casino apps on Google Pixel install straight from Google Play, because a Pixel runs Google's own build of Android with the Play Store built in. All five of our partner apps have UK Play listings, and the Pixel's Google Pay, Play Protect and Digital Wellbeing tools make it a sensible phone to gamble on carefully.

Key takeaways

  • Google Play allows licensed real-money casino apps in the UK, so a Pixel needs no workarounds.
  • Coral, Ladbrokes, PlayOJO, Casumo and 10bet all have UK Google Play listings rated PEGI 18.
  • Coral and Ladbrokes publish a £5 minimum for Google Pay deposits and withdrawals.
  • Digital Wellbeing app timers on a Pixel can close a casino app when your daily allowance runs out.
  • Never sideload a casino APK on a Pixel when the real app is on Google Play.

Do casino apps work on Google Pixel phones?

Yes. A Pixel is an ordinary Android phone made by Google, so UK-licensed casino apps install from the Play Store exactly as they would on any other handset. There is no special Pixel version of any casino app; the developer publishes one Android app and Google Play decides whether your phone is compatible.

That matters because Google is strict about gambling apps. Its real-money gambling policy for Google Play (opens in a new tab) says the developer must hold a valid gambling licence for each country where the app is offered, must block under-age users and must block access from places its licence doesn't cover. The app also has to be free to install and can't use Google Play billing, so every deposit goes through the casino's own cashier.

For a Pixel owner, the practical upshot is simple: if a real-money casino app shows up in the UK Play Store, it has been through Google's gambling application process. Our wider guide to casino apps on Android phones covers the same ground for every brand of handset, and the devices hub lists the other platforms we cover.

The UK is on Google's list of countries where licensed online casino games, sports betting and lotteries are allowed on Google Play. Northern Ireland sits outside the Gambling Commission's remit, and PlayOJO's welcome offer excludes it.

UK casino apps for Pixel on Google Play: who publishes them

Before you tap Install, check that the developer name on the listing matches the licensed operator. The table below shows what each partner's UK Google Play listing states. Store titles change, so treat the names as a guide and the developer line as the thing to verify.

Coral's 'no data collected' reading sits oddly next to its much longer iPhone privacy label, so read the data safety section on the listing yourself before installing. Our guide to how casino apps use your data explains what each category means.

All five listings carry a PEGI 18 rating. The two Entain brands share one operator, LC International Limited (Entain), so one person may not be able to open new accounts at both. Full brand detail sits in the Coral Casino app review, the Ladbrokes Casino app review and the PlayOJO app review.

How to install a casino app on a Google Pixel

Installing takes a couple of minutes on a Pixel, and the steps below avoid the copycat listings that sometimes sit near genuine casino apps in search results.

  1. Open the Play Store app on your Pixel and make sure you're signed in with a Google account set to the UK.
  2. Search for the casino by name, then open the listing whose developer matches the licensed operator in the table above.
  3. Scroll to the data safety section and the content rating; a real-money casino app should be rated PEGI 18.
  4. Tap Install. If Play says the app isn't compatible with your device, update Android first and try again.
  5. Open the app and log in, or register with your legal name, date of birth and UK address so the operator can check your age and identity before you deposit.
  6. Set a deposit limit straight away. Since 31 October 2025 operators must prompt you to set a financial limit before your first deposit.

Play listings no longer show a minimum Android version in the browser view; Google now shows compatibility on the device itself. If the Install button appears, your Pixel's Android version is supported. The step-by-step Android install guide covers sign-up checks in more depth.

Play Protect, APKs and staying safe on a Pixel

Every Pixel runs Google Play Protect. Google's Play Protect help page (opens in a new tab) says it runs a safety check on Play Store apps before you download them, scans your phone for potentially harmful apps from other sources and can warn about, deactivate or remove them.

Some websites still offer casino APK files to download directly. Since Android 8.0 there's no single 'unknown sources' switch: you have to give a specific app, such as your browser, permission to install other apps, and you can take that permission away at any time. There is no good reason to grant it for a casino when the genuine app is on Google Play.

  • A sideloaded APK skips Google's pre-download safety check.
  • You can't easily confirm who built the file or whether it has been altered.
  • Updates won't arrive through Play, so you may end up on an old, unpatched version.
  • If a 'casino' app is only available as an APK, ask why it isn't on Play at all.

Paying with Google Pay in casino apps on a Pixel

Google Pay comes ready to use on a Pixel, and two of our partners publish it as a full deposit and withdrawal method. Coral and Ladbrokes both list a £5 minimum deposit and £5 minimum withdrawal for Google Pay, and say Google Pay withdrawals go back to the card underneath it.

CasumoNot publishedVisa, Mastercard, PayPal, Trustly, paysafecard, Skrill, Instant Banking£3 below £10

A credit card added to Google Pay can't be used to gamble: the credit card ban, in force since 14 April 2020, covers wallets funded by credit. Use a debit card in the wallet. Google says Google Pay doesn't store your card details on the phone and replaces your card number with a randomly generated one when you pay in shops.

More detail is in our guide to Google Pay casino apps and the walkthrough on depositing with Google Pay in a casino app.

Location, permissions and data on a Pixel

Both Apple and Google require real-money gambling apps to be restricted to the places where the operator is licensed. Neither platform says this has to be done with GPS, and none of our partners' help pages confirms that its app reads your phone's location, so an app may rely on your network address instead.

The Play listings give some clues. Casumo's data safety section says the app may share location data, and 10bet's says it may collect location. On a Pixel you can review any app's permissions in Settings and switch location to 'only while using the app' or off, then see whether the app still works. If it says you're in the wrong place, our explainer on why a casino app says you're in the wrong location lists the usual causes.

Notifications are a separate choice. Since 1 May 2025, operators must let you pick which products and channels you get marketing about, so you can turn off casino offers by email, text and phone while still using the app.

Updates, storage and battery for casino apps on a Pixel

Pixel phones get Android updates straight from Google, which helps casino apps that need a recent system. The NCSC's advice applies here: install app and system updates as soon as they're offered and turn on automatic updates if you can.

Google Play doesn't show the download size of these apps in its web listing, so check the size on the listing on your Pixel before installing. Live casino streams video continuously, so it uses far more data and battery than a slot. On mobile data, keep an eye on your allowance, and use Wi-Fi for long live sessions where you can.

  • If an app freezes, force-stop it from the app info screen, then clear the cache before reinstalling.
  • Low storage can stop updates installing; free some space and reopen the Play Store.
  • If you lose signal mid-game, reopen the app and check your game history; the operator's terms explain how unfinished rounds are handled.

When things go wrong, our casino app not working checklist runs through the fixes in order.

Limiting and blocking casino apps on a Google Pixel

A Pixel gives you two layers of control: limits inside the casino app, and limits on the phone itself. Using both is the most reliable approach.

Digital Wellbeing comes built in on Pixels. Google's Digital Wellbeing guide (opens in a new tab) says you can set a daily timer for any app; when time runs out, the app closes and its icon dims until the timer resets at midnight. Focus mode pauses chosen apps and their notifications.

  1. Open Settings on your Pixel and go to Digital Wellbeing.
  2. Find the casino app in the list of apps.
  3. Tap Set timer next to it and choose a short daily allowance.
  4. Add the casino app to Focus mode if you want it paused during work or sleep hours.
  5. Inside the casino app, set a deposit limit and a reality check so the app also reminds you how long you've played.

For stronger blocks, GAMSTOP stops you using every online gambling company licensed in Great Britain for 6 months, 1 year or 5 years. Many banks can also block gambling payments on your debit card; the Gambling Commission's guide to blocking gambling transactions (opens in a new tab) lists them. Our page on blocking gambling apps on Android covers Gamban and other options.

If gambling is costing more than you planned, the National Gambling Helpline on 0808 8020 133 is free and open 24/7, run by GamCare.

Other UK casino apps on Google Play for Pixel

Beyond our partners, several other UK brands have Google Play listings that we could confirm. BetMGM publishes a combined casino and sports app from LeoVegas Gaming PLC. Virgin Games and Jackpotjoy come from Gamesys Limited, and Betway and PartyCasino both have casino-only Android apps.

For brands such as Sky Vegas or Midnite, a Play listing wasn't confirmed from the store itself, so search Play on your Pixel and check the developer name before installing. If you want a ranked list rather than a brand-by-brand view, see the best casino apps for Android.

Pixel casino apps with a welcome offer

Our three partner offers below all run in the Android apps you'd install on a Pixel; nothing about the phone changes the terms. Each is 18+, for new customers only, and terms apply. They are slot offers, so blackjack, roulette and live casino don't count towards them.

  • Coral: deposit (certain methods excluded) and bet £10 or more on slots to get 100 free spins on selected games at 10p each, which is £10 in spin value. Accept them within 48 hours and use them within 7 days. There's no wagering on free spin winnings, and the offer runs from 1 October 2026 to 1 February 2027.
  • Ladbrokes: deposit and spend £10 or more on slots to get 50 free spins a day for your first 10 days, up to 500 spins at 10p each (£50 in spin value at most). Claim each day's spins before 23:59; they last 7 days and carry no wagering.
  • PlayOJO: make a first deposit of at least £10 to get 80 free spins on Big Bass Bonanza at 10p each, which is £8 in spin value. Winnings are paid in cash with no wagering. The offer excludes Northern Ireland and only works through the designated offer link.

Coral excludes PayPal, Neteller, Skrill, Paysafe, prepaid cards and certain debit cards from its offer; Ladbrokes excludes prepaid cards, PayPal, Paysafe, Neteller, Skrill and Moneybookers. Spin value isn't the same as money you'll keep: the house edge applies to every spin, so treat any offer as extra play, not income.

Coral and Ladbrokes are both run by LC International Limited (Entain). If you already hold an account with one Entain brand, you may not be able to open another; check the terms first.

Frequently asked questions

Can I download casino apps on a Google Pixel?

Yes, you can download UK-licensed casino apps on a Google Pixel straight from the Play Store. Google Play allows licensed real-money gambling apps in the UK, and Coral, Ladbrokes, PlayOJO, Casumo and 10bet all have UK listings rated PEGI 18. Check the developer name matches the licensed operator before installing, and you'll need to be 18 or over and pass age checks before you can deposit. Our Android phones guide covers the same process for other handsets.

Is there a special casino app for Pixel phones?

No, there isn't a Pixel-only version of any casino app we cover. Developers publish one Android app on Google Play, and Play checks whether your Pixel is compatible when you open the listing. If you see an Install button, the app supports your phone's Android version. Anything advertised as a special Pixel casino download from outside the Play Store should be treated with suspicion; read fake casino apps and scams before installing.

Can I use Google Pay in casino apps on my Pixel?

You can use Google Pay at Coral and Ladbrokes, which both publish a £5 minimum deposit and withdrawal for it. Their help pages say Google Pay withdrawals are paid back to the card underneath. PlayOJO, Casumo and 10bet don't name Google Pay on the help pages we rely on, so check their cashiers. Only debit cards can be used: the UK credit card ban covers wallets funded by credit. See Google Pay casino apps for more.

Is it safe to install a casino APK on a Pixel?

It's not a good idea when the genuine app is on Google Play. An APK installed from a website skips the safety check Play Protect runs before Play downloads, and it won't update through Play. Since Android 8.0 you'd also have to grant a specific app permission to install other apps. If a casino is only offered as an APK, treat that as a warning sign. Our casino APK files explained guide goes into the risks.

How do I limit time on a casino app on my Pixel?

Use Digital Wellbeing's app timer, which is built into Pixel phones. Set a daily allowance next to the casino app; when it runs out, Google says the app closes and its icon dims until midnight. Combine that with a deposit limit and reality check inside the casino app itself. For a complete break, GAMSTOP and a bank gambling block go further. Our guide to blocking casino apps with Digital Wellbeing shows the steps.

Why does a casino app on my Pixel want my location?

Casino apps must restrict play to places where the operator is licensed, and location is one way to check that. Apple and Google both require geo-restriction, but neither insists on GPS, so some apps may use your network address instead. On the Play listings, Casumo says it may share location data and 10bet says it may collect it. You can review permissions in your Pixel's settings. Read do casino apps track your location for more.

Do casino apps run differently on a Pixel than on an iPhone?

The games and rules are the same, but the apps and stores differ. On a Pixel you install from Google Play and can pay with Google Pay at Coral and Ladbrokes; on an iPhone you use the App Store and Apple Pay. Store names, data labels and some features can vary between the two versions of the same brand. Our comparison of iPhone vs Android casino apps sets out the differences.

Which casino app is best for a Google Pixel?

It depends on how you play. If Google Pay is your wallet of choice, Coral and Ladbrokes fit best because both publish it as a deposit and withdrawal method. PlayOJO suits anyone wanting a casino-only app with no-wagering spins, and 10bet bundles a sportsbook with its casino. Every app works the same way on a Pixel as on other Android phones, so focus on payments, support and limits. Our best casino apps for Android list ranks the options.
