Casumo app settings and notifications are controlled in two places: your phone decides whether the app can send push alerts, and your Casumo account holds your marketing choices, limits and log-in options. This guide shows how to tune both, what UK marketing rules give you, and which app features the store listing says you can switch on or off.
Key takeaways
- Push alerts are controlled in your phone's settings; Casumo's store listings don't describe its notification options.
- Since 1 May 2025, UK operators must let you opt in to marketing by product and by channel (email, SMS, phone), with everything off by default.
- The iPhone listing mentions Face ID and Touch ID log-in, a haptic feedback toggle and a home screen widget.
- Deposit limits and reality checks sit in your account, so they apply on every device.
- Notifications in listing
- Not described
- Haptic feedback
- Toggle mentioned in iOS listing
- Biometric log-in
- Face ID and Touch ID (iOS)
- Marketing choice rule
- In force from 1 May 2025
- Tracking (privacy label)
- Identifiers, usage data, diagnostics
Where Casumo app settings and notifications live
Think of it as three layers. Your phone's operating system decides whether the Casumo app may show push notifications at all. Your Casumo account holds marketing preferences, financial limits and personal details. And the app itself has a few display and log-in options that the App Store listing mentions.
Casumo's store listings don't describe its notification settings, so we won't invent menu names. Where a step depends on the app, look for the option in your account or profile area. For everything else about the brand, see our Casumo app review.
| Setting | Controlled in | What's published |

| Push notifications on or off | Phone settings | Standard iOS and Android controls |
| Email, SMS and phone marketing | Casumo account | UK rule: opt in per product and per channel |
| Face ID / Touch ID log-in | App and phone | Mentioned in the iOS listing |
| Haptic feedback | App | Toggle mentioned in the iOS listing |
| Home screen widget | Phone home screen | Mentioned in the iOS listing |
| Deposit limits and reality checks | Casumo account | Required for UK licensees |
| App tracking | Phone privacy settings | Privacy label lists tracking data |
How to turn off Casumo notifications on iPhone
If the Casumo app has asked to send notifications and you said yes, you can change your mind at any time in iOS. This doesn't touch your account or your emails; it only stops alerts on that phone.
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
- Tap Notifications.
- Scroll to the Casumo app in the list and tap it.
- Switch off Allow Notifications to stop all alerts, or keep it on and turn off sounds, badges or lock screen previews.
- If you'd rather pause alerts only at certain times, set up a Focus and leave Casumo off its allowed list.
On a shared iPad, lock screen previews are worth switching off even if you keep notifications, so messages about your account aren't visible to others. Our general guide on turning off casino app notifications covers other brands too.
How to turn off Casumo notifications on Android
Android phones name their menus slightly differently, especially Samsung models, but the route is similar on most.
- Open Settings and go to Apps (sometimes Apps & notifications).
- Find Casumo - Live Casino & Slots in the list and tap it.
- Tap Notifications.
- Turn off all notifications, or switch off individual categories if the app offers more than one.
- To silence gambling apps at set times, use Focus mode in Digital Wellbeing, which pauses chosen apps and their notifications.
Google's help page on Digital Wellbeing (opens in a new tab) explains Focus mode and app timers. The walkthrough on blocking casino apps with Digital Wellbeing shows how to use those features as a firmer limit, and notifications and gambling urges explains why fewer alerts can help.
Casumo marketing preferences and your UK rights
Emails, texts and calls about offers are separate from push notifications. They're governed by the Gambling Commission's direct marketing rule, LCCP 5.1.12 (opens in a new tab), which came into force on 1 May 2025.
Under that rule, online casino, betting and bingo operators must let you choose which products you hear about and through which channels, and every option must start switched off. Customers who already had accounts were asked to confirm their preferences at their first log-in after the rule began.
| Choice | Options | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Product | Casino, betting, bingo (as relevant to the operator) | Not opted in |
| Channel | Email, SMS, phone call | Not opted in |
| Push notifications | Not a required separate channel under the rule | Controlled on your phone |
| Post | Dropped from the required channels | Not applicable |
Casumo offers a casino and a sportsbook, so you can, for example, accept casino emails while refusing betting texts. Look for marketing or communication preferences in your account settings to check what you've agreed to. The Commission's page on stopping gambling marketing texts and emails (opens in a new tab) explains what to do if messages continue.
Changing your Casumo marketing settings step by step
- Sign in to the Casumo app or website; the setting is on your account, so either works.
- Open your account or profile area and look for marketing, communication or contact preferences.
- Untick each channel you don't want (email, SMS, phone) for each product you don't want to hear about.
- Save the change and note the date, in case you need to raise it later.
- If messages keep arriving after a reasonable time, email hey@casumo.com with the date you changed your preferences.
If an operator spots strong signs that someone may be experiencing gambling harm, UK rules say marketing and new bonus take-up must stop. You don't need to wait for that to happen: you can switch everything off yourself.
Our explainer on push notifications and gambling marketing and the UK marketing consent rules page go deeper on what operators can and can't send.
Face ID, Touch ID and log-in settings in the Casumo app
The App Store listing says the Casumo iPhone app supports Face ID and Touch ID log-in. Turning it on means you don't type your password in public, and Apple's Face ID security page (opens in a new tab) says your face data stays on the device; the app is told only whether the check passed.
Biometric log-in has one downside: it makes opening the app almost effortless. If you share a phone, or you'd like a pause before you play, typing a password each time is a reasonable choice. The Google Play listing doesn't mention fingerprint or face log-in for Android, so check inside the app.
Our guides to Face ID and Touch ID on casino apps and keeping your casino account secure cover passwords and two-step checks. If you're locked out, start with our Casumo app login page.
Haptics, widget and other Casumo app options
A few smaller options appear in the iPhone listing. Each is a personal preference, but it helps to know what they do.
- Haptic feedback toggle: controls the small vibrations the app uses. Turn it off if you find it distracting or want to save a little battery.
- Home screen widget: an iOS widget you add or remove from your home screen. Press and hold the widget, then choose to remove it if you no longer want it there.
- Quick Launch: reopens the last four slots you played. It's a shortcut, not a setting, but it's useful to know it remembers recent games.
- Reel Races updates: real-time progress for Casumo's slot tournaments, shown while you play.
None of these changes your balance, your limits or how any game pays. They only affect how quickly you can get into the app and what it feels like to use. Our Casumo app vs website comparison explains which features are app-only.
Tracking and data settings for the Casumo app
The App Store privacy label for Casumo says identifiers, usage data and diagnostics may be used to track you across other companies' apps and websites. On iPhone, apps must ask before tracking you in that way, and you can refuse.
- Open Settings on your iPhone and tap Privacy & Security.
- Tap Tracking.
- Switch off the Casumo app, or turn off Allow Apps to Request to Track for every app.
On Android, the Google Play data safety section says the app may share location data, collects personal and financial information, encrypts data in transit, and lets you request deletion. You can review an app's permissions, including location, in Settings under Apps. Our guides to casino app permissions and whether casino apps track your location explain what each permission allows.
Account settings that help you stay in control
The most useful Casumo app settings aren't about notifications at all. UK-licensed operators must prompt you to set a financial limit before your first deposit, and decreases to a limit take effect straight away. They must also let you choose how often a reality check (opens in a new tab) appears, showing how long your session has lasted.
| Setting | What the rules say | Good to know |
|---|---|---|
| Deposit limit | Prompted before first deposit since 31 October 2025 | Lowering it takes effect immediately |
| Reality check | You choose the frequency (RTS 13B) | You must acknowledge it to clear it |
| Time-out | 24 hours, one week, one month, or up to six weeks | Stops play for the period you choose |
| Self-exclusion | Must be offered by every licensee | GAMSTOP covers all GB-licensed online operators |
Our Casumo safer gambling tools page explains each of these in detail, and the guide to reality checks in casino apps shows what a reminder involves.
Casumo welcome offer and an alternative
Your notification and marketing settings don't affect your eligibility for a welcome offer: you can claim one with every marketing channel switched off. Both offers below are for new customers aged 18+, and terms apply.
Casumo: a 50% bonus up to £100 on your first deposit, minimum £20, opt-in required. Wager the bonus 10x within 7 days; the maximum bet is £5 while the bonus is active, and game, play and payment restrictions apply. On a £40 deposit, the £20 bonus means £200 of wagering. Our Casumo welcome bonus guide walks through the maths.
Coral: deposit (certain types excluded) and bet £10 or more on slots to get 100 free spins at 10p each on selected games; accept them within 48 hours and use them within 7 days. Free spin winnings have no wagering. Neteller, PayPal, Paysafe, Skrill, prepaid cards and certain debit cards don't qualify, and the offer runs from 1 October 2026 to 1 February 2027. See our Coral Casino app review.
Both are slot offers, so table and live games are often excluded or count for less. Gambling costs money and losses are likely over time, so set a limit before you start.

Frequently asked questions
How do I stop Casumo app notifications?
Push notifications are controlled by your phone. On iPhone, go to Settings, then Notifications, tap Casumo and switch off Allow Notifications. On Android, go to Settings, then Apps, choose the Casumo app and turn off its notifications. This stops alerts on that device only; emails and texts are managed separately in your Casumo account. The wider guide to turning off casino app notifications has steps for other phones too.
How do I stop Casumo marketing emails and texts?
Change your marketing or communication preferences in your Casumo account and untick the channels you don't want. Since 1 May 2025, UK casino operators must let you choose by product and by channel (email, SMS and phone), with all options off by default. If messages continue after you've changed your settings, email hey@casumo.com with the date. The UK marketing consent rules page explains your rights in full.
Can I turn off Face ID on the Casumo app?
Yes. Biometric log-in is optional; you can sign in with your password instead. Look for the Face ID or Touch ID option in the app or your account settings, or remove the app's Face ID permission in iPhone Settings under Face ID & Passcode. Some people prefer typing a password because it adds a moment to think before playing. Our guide to Face ID and Touch ID on casino apps explains the trade-offs.
Does the Casumo app track my location?
Google Play's data safety section says the Android app may share location data, and the iOS privacy label lists identifiers, usage data and diagnostics as data used to track you. UK gambling apps must be restricted to places where they're licensed, though the method isn't always stated. You can review location and tracking permissions in your phone's settings. Our page on whether casino apps track your location explains how this works.
Will turning off marketing stop me getting the Casumo welcome bonus?
No. Marketing preferences control what Casumo sends you, not what you can claim. The welcome offer is a 50% bonus up to £100 for new customers who opt in and deposit at least £20, with 10x wagering on the bonus within 7 days and a £5 maximum bet; 18+ and terms apply. You opt in to the offer itself, which is separate from marketing consent. Details are on our Casumo welcome bonus page.
Can I set a deposit limit in the Casumo app?
Yes. All UK-licensed operators must offer deposit limits, and since 31 October 2025 they must prompt new customers to set a financial limit before the first deposit. Lowering a limit takes effect immediately, and you choose the amount yourself rather than picking from suggested figures. Limits sit on your account, so they apply in the app and on the website. Our guide to setting deposit limits in a casino app explains how to choose a sensible figure.
What does the haptic feedback setting do in the Casumo app?
Haptic feedback means the small vibrations a phone makes when you tap or when something happens on screen. The Casumo iPhone listing mentions a toggle to switch it on or off. It has no effect on games, payouts or your account; it's purely about how the app feels to use. Turning it off may save a little battery. For more, see casino apps and battery life, which looks at what drains power in gambling apps.
How do I remove the Casumo widget from my iPhone home screen?
Press and hold the widget on your home screen, then choose the option to remove it and confirm. This only removes the shortcut; the app and your account stay as they are. Some people remove gambling widgets so the app is less visible during the day. If you'd like a firmer barrier, our guide to blocking casino apps with Screen Time explains how to limit or block the app entirely.
