PayPal casino apps in the UK
PayPal casino apps are available in the UK, but PayPal only processes gambling payments for operators it has approved. Among our partners, Coral, Ladbrokes and Casumo list PayPal for deposits and withdrawals. The catch is bonuses: Coral and Ladbrokes exclude PayPal deposits from their welcome offers. Here's how PayPal works in casino apps, how fast it pays and what to watch.
Key takeaways
- PayPal bans gambling payments unless the operator is an approved seller in a jurisdiction where gambling is legal.
- Coral, Ladbrokes and Casumo list PayPal; 10bet's PayPal listing comes from third-party sources only.
- Coral and Ladbrokes exclude PayPal deposits from their welcome offers.
- Casumo says PayPal withdrawals are instant once approved; Coral and Ladbrokes need a PayPal deposit in the last six months.
- PayPal's rule
- Gambling only with approved sellers
- Partners listing it
- Coral, Ladbrokes, Casumo
- Excluded from offers at
- Coral and Ladbrokes
- Casumo payout
- Instant after approval
- Credit-funded wallets
- Not allowed for UK gambling
Can you use PayPal in casino apps? PayPal's own rules
Yes, at approved operators only. PayPal's help page on prohibited gambling activities (opens in a new tab) says gambling transactions, including casino games, sports betting, lotteries and gaming machines, are prohibited unless the seller has been approved, even where the gambling itself is lawful.
Approval is limited to certain jurisdictions where gambling is legal, and approved sellers must show they can block US account holders and users in places where gambling may be illegal. That's why PayPal appears at some UK-licensed casino apps and not at others. Its presence also tells you something: an operator has passed PayPal's own checks on top of holding a Gambling Commission licence.
PayPal isn't a substitute for checking the licence. Before signing up anywhere, look up the operator on the Commission's register; our guide to how casino apps are licensed in the UK shows how.
Which UK casino apps accept PayPal
Three of our five partners publish PayPal on their own pages, and our casino app payment methods hub covers the alternatives. The quick answer to which casino apps accept PayPal is below, followed by detail on each.
| Casino app | PayPal deposits | PayPal withdrawals | Source of the listing |
|---|---|---|---|
| Coral | Yes | Yes, if you deposited by PayPal in the last 6 months | Operator help centre |
| Ladbrokes | Yes | Yes, if you deposited by PayPal in the last 6 months | Operator help centre |
| Casumo | Yes | Yes, instant after approval | Operator homepage FAQ |
| 10bet | Listed by third parties | E-wallets up to 2 business days | Third-party review; help centre names categories only |
| PlayOJO | Not named | Not named | Help page lists other methods; check the cashier |
Coral and Ladbrokes are both run by LC International Limited (Entain) under Commission account 54743, so their PayPal rules match. Casumo is operated by Recro Limited (account 61549), and 10bet by Blue Star Planet Limited (account 43173). The partner pages for Casumo payments and 10bet payments list each cashier's other methods.
How to pay into a casino app with PayPal
No operator publishes its exact PayPal screens, so these steps describe the usual sequence. The key difference from a card is that you approve the payment in PayPal rather than in the casino app.
- Check that your PayPal account is funded by a debit card or bank account, not a credit card.
- Open the casino app, sign in to your verified account and set a deposit limit if prompted.
- Go to the deposit area and choose PayPal from the methods listed.
- Enter the amount, then follow the hand-off to PayPal to sign in and approve the payment.
- Return to the casino app and check that the balance shows the deposit.
- If you plan to claim a welcome offer, confirm first that PayPal isn't on its excluded list.
PayPal casino withdrawals: speeds and conditions
E-wallets have a reputation for quick payouts, and the published figures partly bear that out. In every case, though, the operator approves the request before any money moves.
| Casino app | Approval stage | Time after approval | Fees |
|---|---|---|---|
| Casumo | Processed within hours; policy limit 3 days | Instant | £3 under £10, otherwise none |
| Coral | Review team approval | Instant to five banking days, by method | None |
| Ladbrokes | Review team approval | Instant to five banking days, by method | None |
| 10bet | Not published separately | Up to 2 business days (e-wallets) | Not published |
Casumo's withdrawal policy (opens in a new tab) sets the 3-day approval window and the £3 charge on withdrawals under £10. Both Entain brands confirm on the Ladbrokes withdrawal fees page (opens in a new tab) and its Coral twin that they don't charge withdrawal fees. For a ranking of quick payout methods, see fastest casino app withdrawal methods.
Both Entain brands run a closed-loop policy: money goes back to the method it came from where possible. If you haven't deposited by PayPal in the last six months, the payout will go another way.
PayPal casino bonus exclusions
This is the biggest practical difference between PayPal and a debit card. Several operators exclude e-wallet deposits from welcome offers, and two of our partners name PayPal outright.
| Casino app | PayPal excluded? | Other named exclusions |
|---|---|---|
| Coral | Yes | Neteller, Paysafe, Skrill, prepaid cards, certain debit cards |
| Ladbrokes | Yes | Prepaid cards, Paysafe, Neteller, Skrill, Moneybookers |
| Casumo | Not named | Payment restrictions apply; methods not named |
| 10bet | Not named | Skrill and Neteller |
| PlayOJO | Not named | None named; PayPal not listed as a method |
If you deposit by PayPal at Coral or Ladbrokes, you simply won't receive the welcome spins. Choose your method before the first deposit, not after. Our page on payment methods excluded from bonuses explains the pattern across the market.
What a PayPal-funded bonus is worth at Casumo and 10bet
Where PayPal isn't excluded, the bonus maths is the same as for any other method. These examples assume a slot with a 96% RTP, so a 4% house edge, and are averages; real sessions swing well above and below.
- 10bet, £25 deposit: a 100% match adds £25. Wagering 10x the bonus means £250 of slot stakes within 3 days. At a 4% edge, the expected cost of that wagering is £10, leaving an average value of about £15 before variance.
- Casumo, £20 deposit: a 50% bonus adds £10. Wagering 10x means £100 of stakes within 7 days, with an expected cost of £4 and a £5 maximum bet while the bonus is active.
- Casumo, £200 deposit: the bonus reaches its £100 cap. Wagering is £1,000 of stakes, with an expected cost of £40.
None of this makes a bonus a way to make money. The house edge applies to every stake while you wager, and losses are the likely result over time. For the rules behind the 10x cap, see how wagering works in casino apps.
PayPal, credit cards and the UK ban
Credit cards haven't been allowed for gambling in Great Britain since 14 April 2020, and the ban reaches e-wallets too. The Commission says businesses accepting e-wallets such as PayPal should make sure the money wasn't loaded from a credit card. Its guide to gambling with a credit card (opens in a new tab) sets this out for players.
If your PayPal account has a credit card as its main funding source, a casino deposit may be refused. Switch the funding to a debit card or bank account first. Our credit card ban page covers the rule in more detail.
PayPal and bank gambling blocks
Bank gambling blocks usually work by spotting gambling merchant codes on card payments. That has limits. Revolut says its block doesn't affect bank transfers or payments through third-party apps, and Monzo says mis-tagged transactions can get past its block. A deposit made through PayPal may therefore not be caught by every bank's block.
If you rely on a block, ask your bank how it treats e-wallet payments, and add other layers: a deposit limit in each casino app, and self-exclusion through GAMSTOP if you want a firm break. Our guide to gambling blocks on banking apps compares bank tools, and the National Gambling Helpline (0808 8020 133) is available 24/7.
PayPal vs debit card in casino apps
PayPal keeps your card details away from the casino and, at Casumo, can pay out instantly after approval. A debit card qualifies for more welcome offers and works at every partner. Which suits you depends on whether you value the bonus or the e-wallet's separation more.
Advantages
- Card details stay with PayPal rather than the casino
- Casumo lists PayPal payouts as instant after approval
- No withdrawal fees at Coral or Ladbrokes
Drawbacks
- Excluded from the Coral and Ladbrokes welcome offers
- Payouts at Coral and Ladbrokes need a PayPal deposit in the last six months
- Not listed by PlayOJO; 10bet listing is third-party only
- Card-based bank blocks may not catch it

PayPal-friendly casino apps with a welcome offer
Casumo lists PayPal and doesn't name it in its offer exclusions; 10bet's offer excludes Skrill and Neteller rather than PayPal, though its PayPal listing comes from third parties. Coral takes PayPal but its offer doesn't. All are 18+ and terms apply.
- Casumo: 18+, new customers, opt-in required. 50% bonus up to £100 on the first deposit, minimum £20. Wager the bonus 10x within 7 days, maximum £5 per bet while it's active. Game, play and payment restrictions apply.
- 10bet: 18+, new UK customers. Choose the casino welcome bonus at sign-up and make the first deposit within 7 days for a 100% match up to £25. Wager the bonus 10x on slots within 3 days; maximum bonus winnings £1,000. Skrill and Neteller deposits are excluded.
- Coral: 18+, new players; offer period 1 October 2026 to 1 February 2027. Deposit and bet £10 or more on slots for 100 free spins at 10p on selected games; accept within 48 hours, valid 7 days, no wagering on winnings. PayPal, Neteller, Paysafe, Skrill, prepaid cards and certain debit cards don't qualify.
Table and live games are often excluded from bonuses or count for less, so check the terms. Compare the two front-runners on Casumo vs 10bet. Gambling is paid entertainment, and losses are likely over time.

Frequently asked questions
Which casino apps accept PayPal in the UK?
Among our partners, Coral, Ladbrokes and Casumo list PayPal for deposits and withdrawals on their own pages. Third-party reviews list PayPal at 10bet, though its help centre doesn't name methods, and PlayOJO doesn't name PayPal on its help page. PayPal only works with gambling operators it has approved. See our PayPal casino apps ranking for the partner comparison.
Can I get a welcome bonus if I deposit with PayPal?
At some apps, yes, but not at Coral or Ladbrokes, which both exclude PayPal deposits from their welcome offers. Casumo says payment restrictions apply without naming PayPal, and 10bet excludes Skrill and Neteller. Read the full terms or ask support before you deposit, because choosing the wrong method usually means the offer is lost. Our guide to claiming a bonus in a casino app explains the checks.
How long do PayPal casino withdrawals take?
It depends on the operator's approval step. Casumo says PayPal withdrawals are instant once approved, with its policy allowing up to 3 days for approval. Coral and Ladbrokes say payouts take from instantly to five banking days after approval, depending on method. 10bet gives up to 2 business days for e-wallets. Our withdrawal pending question explains delays.
Why can't I withdraw to PayPal at Coral or Ladbrokes?
Their help pages say you need to have deposited by PayPal within the last six months to withdraw to it. Both operators also run a closed-loop policy, sending money back to the method it came from where possible. If you deposited by debit card, the payout will usually go to that card. Read the Ladbrokes withdrawals page for the operator's full rules.
Can I fund PayPal with a credit card to gamble?
No. Since 14 April 2020, UK operators can't accept credit card payments for gambling, and the Gambling Commission says businesses accepting e-wallets such as PayPal should check the money wasn't loaded from a credit card. A credit-funded PayPal payment may be refused. Change PayPal's funding source to a debit card or bank account first. Our question on credit cards covers this further.
Is PayPal safe for casino app payments?
PayPal keeps your card details away from the casino, which some people find reassuring, and it only works with approved gambling sellers. That doesn't replace checking the casino's Gambling Commission licence, and your casino account still needs a strong password. Our guide on whether casino apps are safe explains the licence check and other signs of a trustworthy app.
Does PayPal charge fees for casino deposits?
PayPal's gambling policy page doesn't set out fees for casino payments, so check PayPal's own fee information for your account. On the casino side, Coral and Ladbrokes say they don't charge withdrawal fees, and Casumo charges £3 on withdrawals under £10. 10bet doesn't publish withdrawal fees. Our casino app withdrawal fees page compares the operators' published charges.
Will my bank's gambling block stop PayPal casino payments?
Not always. Many bank blocks look for gambling merchant codes on card payments, and Revolut says its block doesn't cover payments through third-party apps. Monzo says mis-tagged transactions can bypass its block. Ask your bank how it treats e-wallets, and consider adding a casino deposit limit or GAMSTOP. Our Revolut casino payments page covers one bank's approach in detail.
