Significant terms: 18+. New players only. Offer runs 01/10/2026 to 01/02/2027. Deposit (certain types excluded) and bet £10+ on slot games to get 100 free spins (selected games, £0.10 each, 48 hrs to accept, valid 7 days). No wagering on free spin winnings. Payment methods excluded from bonuses
Payment methods excluded from bonuses are deposit types that won’t trigger a casino app’s welcome offer, even though the cashier accepts them. At UK apps the usual names are PayPal, Skrill, Neteller, Paysafe and prepaid cards, and Coral also excludes certain debit cards, so the method you tap can decide whether an offer applies.
Key takeaways
- Coral and Ladbrokes exclude PayPal, Skrill, Neteller, Paysafe and prepaid cards from their welcome offers; Coral adds certain debit cards.
- 10bet excludes Skrill and Neteller deposits from its casino welcome bonus.
- Casumo says payment restrictions apply but doesn’t name the methods in the terms we could read.
- An excluded deposit still goes into your balance and can be withdrawn; it just doesn’t count for the offer.
- Read the full terms before the first deposit, because the first deposit is usually the one that counts.
- Coral excludes
- Neteller, PayPal, Paysafe, Skrill, prepaid, certain debit cards
- Ladbrokes excludes
- Prepaid, PayPal, Paysafe, Neteller, Skrill, Moneybookers
- 10bet excludes
- Skrill and Neteller
- Casumo
- Payment restrictions apply (not named)
- Credit cards
- Banned for gambling since 14 April 2020
Payment methods excluded from bonuses: the quick answer
E-wallets and prepaid options are the methods most often excluded from casino app bonuses in the UK. At the apps we cover, PayPal, Skrill, Neteller, Paysafe and prepaid cards are the repeat names, and the exclusion applies only to the offer, not to depositing itself.
That distinction catches people out. The cashier happily takes a PayPal deposit, the money lands in your balance, and nothing tells you the welcome offer has quietly stopped applying. This guide, part of our casino app payments section, lists who excludes what and how to check before you pay.
This page covers exclusions in welcome offer terms. It isn’t about whether a method works in the app at all: for that, see each method’s own page.
Which payment methods are excluded from bonuses at UK casino apps
Here is what each operator’s current welcome offer terms say about payment methods. Where the terms only say ‘restrictions apply’, the table says so rather than filling the gap.
| App | Excluded from the welcome offer | Named in the terms? |
|---|---|---|
| Coral Casino | Neteller, PayPal, Paysafe, Skrill, prepaid cards, certain debit cards | Yes, but the debit cards aren’t specified |
| Ladbrokes Casino | Prepaid cards, PayPal, Paysafe, Neteller, Skrill, Moneybookers | Yes |
| 10bet | Skrill and Neteller | Yes |
| Casumo | ‘Payment restrictions apply’ | No, check the full terms |
| PlayOJO | No payment exclusions in the key terms; offer only through the designated link | Check the full terms |
Coral and Ladbrokes share an operator, LC International Limited, so their lists are almost identical. Coral’s mention of ‘certain debit cards’ is the vaguest entry: the terms don’t say which, so if your debit card is unusual, ask support before depositing.
The 10bet welcome bonus has the shortest list, with only Skrill and Neteller. Casumo and PlayOJO are the two to double-check in the full terms.
E-wallets, prepaid cards and debit cards: how each is treated
Turning the table round shows which methods are the riskiest choice for a first deposit when you want an offer. A dash means the method isn’t named as excluded in that offer’s terms, which isn’t the same as a promise that it qualifies.
| Method | Coral | Ladbrokes | 10bet |
|---|---|---|---|
| PayPal | Excluded | Excluded | – |
| Skrill | Excluded | Excluded | Excluded |
| Neteller | Excluded | Excluded | Excluded |
| Paysafe / paysafecard | Excluded | Excluded | – |
| Prepaid cards | Excluded | Excluded | – |
| Debit cards | Certain cards excluded | – | – |
| Pay by Bank, Apple Pay, Google Pay | – | – | – |
E-wallets
Skrill and Neteller are excluded at all three apps. Both are run by Paysafe Financial Services Limited, according to their terms, so treating any Paysafe-family wallet as a likely exclusion is a sensible rule of thumb. PayPal is excluded at Coral and Ladbrokes. If you’re new to the term, our e-wallet glossary entry explains how they work.
Prepaid options
Prepaid cards and Paysafe appear on both Entain lists. If you deposit with paysafecard, assume the welcome offer won’t apply at Coral or Ladbrokes.
Debit cards and bank payments
Standard debit cards are the method least often named, apart from Coral’s unspecified ‘certain debit cards’. Pay by Bank, Apple Pay and Google Pay aren’t named in any of the three exclusion lists, but Apple Pay and Google Pay pass through a card, so the card’s own status may still matter.
What using an excluded payment method costs you
The money you deposit isn’t lost by choosing an excluded method, but the offer value is. These figures use each offer’s published terms and show what is missed at face value.
| App and method | What you deposit and play | Offer missed | Face value missed |
|---|---|---|---|
| Coral, paid with PayPal | Bet £10 on slots | 100 free spins at 10p | £10 |
| Ladbrokes, paid with Skrill | Spend £10 on slots | Up to 500 free spins at 10p | Up to £50 |
| 10bet, paid with Neteller | Deposit £25 | 100% match up to £25 | £25 bonus (wagered 10x) |
Face value isn’t the same as expected value. Spins at 10p still run through the slot’s house edge, and the 10bet bonus has to be wagered 10x on slots within 3 days, which is £250 of play on a £25 bonus. At a 4% edge, used here only to illustrate, that wagering has an expected cost of £10.
UK rules on showing payment exclusions clearly
An excluded payment method is a significant condition of a promotion, and UK rules say significant conditions must be clear and prominent. The Commission’s marketing rules (LCCP 5.1.9) require them at the point of sale and in adverts, with full terms no more than one click away online.
The Advertising Standards Authority has acted on exactly this point. In a ruling dated 31 July 2024 against WHG (International) Ltd, trading as William Hill Online, it found that an excluded payment method placed in small print among the full terms wasn’t prominent enough. The ASA’s guidance on free bets and bonuses (opens in a new tab) summarises that case.
The Commission’s consumer page on free offers and bonuses (opens in a new tab) adds that operators must make clear whether you are playing with your own money or bonus funds. For bonus wagering itself, the 10x wagering cap has applied since 19 January 2026.
How to check a payment method qualifies before you deposit
The welcome offer usually hangs on the first deposit, so the check needs to happen before that payment, not after.
- Open the offer page in the app and tap through to the full terms.
- Search the terms for words such as ‘excluded’, ‘qualifying deposit’ or ‘payment method’.
- Compare the named methods with the one you plan to use, including the card behind Apple Pay or Google Pay.
- If the terms say ‘certain’ cards or ‘restrictions apply’ without naming them, ask live chat or email support before you pay.
- Opt in or choose the offer at sign-up if the terms require it, as Casumo and 10bet do.
- Make the deposit with a qualifying method, then check the offer shows as active in your account.
Our guide to reading casino app bonus terms covers the other conditions to look for, and how to claim a bonus in a casino app walks through opt-ins.
Deposited with an excluded method? What happens next
The deposit itself is fine. The money sits in your cash balance and you can play with it or withdraw it, because the Commission’s guidance on withdrawing your deposit while a bonus is active (opens in a new tab) says players must be able to take out their deposit balance at any time, even when a bonus is pending or active.
What you lose is the offer. The terms quoted above treat an excluded deposit as non-qualifying, and none of them describe a way to fix that afterwards. Contact support if you think the method was wrongly classed, but don’t expect the offer to be added.
Never try to get round a payment exclusion, for example by opening a second account or routing money through another method to look different. That can lead to a bonus being removed or an account closed; our pages on why a bonus gets removed and what counts as bonus abuse explain more.
Switching payment methods: limits and withdrawal routes
Adding a new method just for a bonus has knock-on effects worth knowing about.
- Three-method limit: Coral and Ladbrokes allow up to three active payment methods in a rolling 30 days in the UK.
- Closed loop: both operate a closed-loop policy, so withdrawals generally go back to the method you deposited with.
- PayPal withdrawals: at Coral and Ladbrokes these need a PayPal deposit in the last 6 months.
- No credit cards: credit cards have been banned for gambling since 14 April 2020, including e-wallets loaded by credit card. See our credit card ban page.
If you’re planning a small first deposit, check that the qualifying method also meets the minimum. Our casino app minimum deposits page lists the published figures by method.

Frequently asked questions
Why are some payment methods excluded from casino bonuses?
The operators’ offer terms list the excluded methods but don’t explain why. In practice, e-wallets such as Skrill and Neteller and prepaid options such as Paysafe are the usual names. What matters for you is checking the list before your first deposit, because that deposit normally decides whether you qualify. Our guide to reading bonus terms shows where to find the list.
Does PayPal qualify for casino app welcome bonuses?
Not at Coral or Ladbrokes, where PayPal is named as excluded from the welcome offers. 10bet’s terms name only Skrill and Neteller, so PayPal isn’t on its excluded list, though you should still read the full terms. A PayPal deposit at an excluded app still works as a normal deposit. See our PayPal casino apps page for how PayPal deposits and withdrawals work.
Can I use Skrill or Neteller for a casino bonus?
Not for the welcome offers at Coral, Ladbrokes or 10bet, which all exclude Skrill and Neteller. Both wallets are run by Paysafe Financial Services Limited. If you prefer an e-wallet, check each app’s terms carefully, or play without the offer. Our pages on Skrill and Neteller explain how each works in casino apps.
Does Apple Pay count for casino app bonuses?
Apple Pay isn’t named in the exclusion lists for Coral, Ladbrokes or 10bet. However, Apple Pay uses the card stored in your wallet, and Coral excludes ‘certain debit cards’ without saying which, so the card behind Apple Pay could still matter. If in doubt, ask support before depositing. Our Apple Pay casino apps guide covers deposits step by step.
What happens if I deposit with an excluded method by mistake?
Your deposit is credited as normal cash, but it won’t count towards the welcome offer. You can still play with it or withdraw it, because UK guidance says your deposit balance can be withdrawn at any time. None of the terms we checked describe a way to add the offer afterwards, so contact support if you think there’s an error. See why a bonus was removed.
Are prepaid cards excluded from casino bonuses?
At Coral and Ladbrokes, yes: prepaid cards and Paysafe are both on their exclusion lists. 10bet’s terms don’t name prepaid cards, though you should read the full terms. paysafecard can still be used to deposit at Coral and Ladbrokes, as an account-based option, but it won’t trigger the welcome offer there. Our paysafecard page explains how vouchers and accounts work.
Do payment exclusions apply to no wagering offers too?
Yes, exclusions can apply to any offer type. Coral and Ladbrokes both have no wagering on their free spin winnings, yet both exclude e-wallets and prepaid methods from qualifying. No wagering describes what happens after you get the spins, not who qualifies for them. Our no wagering glossary entry explains the term, and our welcome bonus glossary entry covers the basics. 18+, terms apply.
Must casinos show excluded payment methods clearly?
Yes. Excluded payment methods are a significant condition, and UK rules require significant conditions to be clear and prominent, with full terms one click away online. In July 2024 the ASA ruled that William Hill Online’s excluded payment method, placed in small print among full terms, wasn’t prominent enough. Our advertising rules page has more on how gambling ads are policed.
