Download a casino app on iPad

You download a casino app on iPad the same way as on an iPhone: through the App Store, using the casino’s exact app name. The difference is in the details. Each listing states its iPad compatibility and the iPadOS version it needs, and a shared family tablet needs restrictions that a personal phone might not.

Key takeaways

  • All five partner App Store listings say they work on iPad; Coral and Ladbrokes need iPadOS 18.0 or later.
  • PlayOJO and Casumo accept iPadOS 15.0 or later, and 10bet needs iPadOS 16.0 or later.
  • Compatibility doesn’t confirm a layout designed for the bigger screen; the listings don’t say either way.
  • On a shared iPad, Screen Time can block app installs or hide 18+ apps entirely.
  • Your account, balance and limits are the same on iPad, iPhone and the website.

Which casino apps you can download on iPad

Every partner app’s App Store listing includes iPad in its compatibility line, so you can download a casino app on iPad from any of them. What varies is the operating system each one needs and what other Apple devices it supports.

Tablets are a minority choice for gambling but not a rare one. Gambling Commission research found 16% of online gamblers had used a tablet in 2019, and its 2020 look at online gambling (opens in a new tab) put the figure at just under one in five. For a ranked view, see the best casino apps for iPad.

How to download a casino app on iPad: eight steps

  1. Check your iPadOS version in Settings > General > About and compare it with the app’s requirement.
  2. Make sure the iPad is signed in to your own Apple Account, not a child’s or a shared family account.
  3. Open the App Store and tap search.
  4. Enter the full app name as it appears in the store, such as Ladbrokes Casino Games & Slots.
  5. Open the listing and confirm the seller, the 18+ age rating and that iPad appears under Compatibility.
  6. Tap Get and confirm with Face ID, Touch ID or your password, depending on your iPad model.
  7. Open the app and sign in with your existing casino account, or register as a new customer.
  8. Complete age and ID checks, then set a deposit limit when the app prompts you.

When you download a casino app on iPad, the seller check matters as much as on a phone. Coral and Ladbrokes list Entain as seller and are licensed to LC International Limited; PlayOJO lists Skill On Net Ltd. If you’re setting up a phone as well, the iPhone download guide has the phone-specific points.

iPad compatible or made for iPad? What the listing tells you

A listing that names iPad under Compatibility tells you the app will install and run. It doesn’t, by itself, tell you whether the layout was designed for a tablet screen or scaled up from a phone. None of our partners’ listings make a specific claim either way, so the only reliable check is to open the app and see how its lobby and games fill the screen.

Most modern casino games are built in HTML5 and resize to the window they run in, so slots and table games usually adapt better than menus do. Our guide to landscape vs portrait mode in casino apps explains why some games rotate and others stay fixed.

Which iPadOS version a casino app needs

An older iPad is the most common reason you can’t download a casino app on iPad. An iPad that can’t update to iPadOS 18 can’t install Coral or Ladbrokes from the App Store, though it may still run PlayOJO or Casumo, which accept iPadOS 15.0 or later.

These figures come from each App Store listing and change when apps update. Our iPad device page and the guide to which iOS version casino apps need explain how to check and what to do with an older tablet.

Casino apps on a shared or family iPad

Before you download a casino app on iPad that others use, think about access. iPads are often shared, which raises a question phones rarely do: who else can open the app? Every partner app carries an 18+ rating, and Apple’s age rating definitions (opens in a new tab) place real-money gambling in the 18+ tier, which Apple says applies to devices on iPadOS 26 and later.

Apple’s Screen Time guide (opens in a new tab) explains how a parent can open Settings > Family, choose a child, and use Content & Privacy Restrictions to set an age limit on apps or set Installing Apps to Blocked. On a child’s own account, an age limit below 18+ keeps gambling apps off their downloads.

  • Don’t save your casino password in a way others on the iPad can use.
  • Log out of the casino app when you finish, especially on a family tablet.
  • Turn off casino notifications so they don’t appear on a shared lock screen.
  • Remember that losses and deposits on your account are your responsibility, whoever used the device.

Our guide to sharing a phone and casino apps goes further, and how to turn off casino app notifications covers the alerts.

Playing on an iPad screen: time, data and live casino

A larger screen makes live dealer tables and game rules easier to read, and that’s the main practical reason people choose a tablet. It can also make sessions feel longer than they are, so UK rules help. Under the Gambling Commission’s time and reality check standards (opens in a new tab), a full-screen app that hides the device clock must show the time of day or elapsed time, and you must be able to set how often reality checks appear.

Since 17 January 2025, casino games must also show your net spend and time spent in real time, and you can’t play several casino games at once. On an iPad, that rules out running two games side by side in a gambling sense, even though iPadOS supports split-screen for other apps.

Live streams use more data than RNG games. Wi-Fi is the usual choice on a tablet; our guide to playing live casino on mobile data covers cellular iPads.

The same casino app on Mac and Apple Vision

Once you download a casino app on iPad, you may wonder about other Apple devices. Because these apps are built for iPad, several also run on Macs with Apple M1 chips or later. The listings for Coral, Ladbrokes, PlayOJO and Casumo all list Mac compatibility with the note ‘Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS’. That means Apple hasn’t confirmed the app works fully on a Mac. 10bet’s listing doesn’t include Mac at all.

All five also list Apple Vision. If you want to use a computer, the casino’s website is the safer bet. Our pages on casino apps for Mac and Apple Vision Pro cover the details.

iPad casino apps with a welcome offer

If you’re ready to download a casino app on iPad, each of these partner apps lists iPad compatibility. Welcome offers apply to slots, not table or live games; 18+ and terms apply.

Accept within 48 hours and use within 7 days; free spin winnings have no wagering. Valid 1 October 2026 to 1 February 2027. Neteller, PayPal, Paysafe, Skrill, prepaid cards and certain debit cards don’t qualify.
  • Ladbrokes (iPadOS 18.0+): 18+, new customers. Deposit and spend £10+ on slots to get 50 free spins daily for 10 days, a maximum of 500 at 10p. Claim before 23:59 each day; each batch lasts 7 days; no wagering. Prepaid cards, PayPal, Paysafe, Neteller, Skrill and Moneybookers deposits are excluded.
  • PlayOJO (iPadOS 15.0+): 18+, new UK customers outside Northern Ireland. First deposit £10 or more for 80 free spins on Big Bass Bonanza at 10p, no wagering, winnings paid in cash. Not combinable with other offers; only via the designated offer link.

Coral and Ladbrokes share an operator, LC International Limited, so one person may not be able to open new accounts at both. PlayOJO’s lower iPadOS requirement makes it the partner most likely to run on an older iPad. Read the PlayOJO review, Coral review or Ladbrokes review, or go back to the guides hub.

Frequently asked questions

Do casino apps work on iPad?

Yes, all five of our partner casino apps list iPad under Compatibility on the UK App Store. You need a recent enough iPadOS: 18.0 or later for Coral and Ladbrokes, 16.0 for 10bet, and 15.0 for PlayOJO and Casumo. The listings don’t say whether the layout was designed specifically for tablets. See do casino apps work on iPad for a quick answer.

Can I use the same casino account on my iPad and iPhone?

Yes, your casino account belongs to the operator, not the device, so you sign in with the same details on iPad, iPhone and the website. Your balance, deposit limits, verification and any self-exclusion follow you across all of them. Download the app on each device and log in. Read can I use the same account on the app and website.

Why can’t my old iPad download a casino app?

Most likely, your iPad can’t update to the iPadOS version the app needs. Coral and Ladbrokes require iPadOS 18.0 or later, so older models are left out, while PlayOJO and Casumo accept iPadOS 15.0. If no partner app supports your iPad, the casino’s website in Safari is the usual alternative. Our page on casino apps on older phones applies to older tablets too.

How do I stop my child downloading casino apps on our iPad?

Use Screen Time’s Content & Privacy Restrictions, either to set Installing Apps to Blocked or to cap app age ratings below 18+. Parents can manage this for a child’s account under Settings > Family. Real-money casino apps carry an 18+ rating, so a lower cap keeps them out. Also keep your own casino login private. Our guide on blocking casino apps with Screen Time walks through it.

Is a casino app on iPad better than the website?

It depends on how you play. The app keeps you logged in more conveniently and may offer biometric login, while the website works on any iPad, even one too old for the app. Games, account and limits are the same either way, and RTP isn’t lower in apps by default. Compare both in casino app vs mobile site.

Can I play two casino games side by side on an iPad?

No, not in a real-money sense. Since 17 January 2025, UK rules have stopped operators letting you play several casino games at the same time, whatever device you use. iPadOS split-screen works for other apps, but a licensed casino won’t let you run simultaneous games. Our page on game speed rules on mobile casino games explains the wider design rules.

Will a casino app downloaded on iPad work on my Mac?

Possibly. Coral, Ladbrokes, PlayOJO and Casumo list Mac compatibility for models with Apple M1 chips or later, but each is marked ‘Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS’, so Apple hasn’t confirmed full support. 10bet doesn’t list Mac. The casino’s website is the more dependable choice on a computer. See can I play casino apps on a Mac.

Do casino apps work on Android tablets too?

Many do, through Google Play, which lists the UK as a market where licensed real-money casino apps are allowed. Play shows on your own device whether an app is compatible, as listings no longer publish a minimum Android version. Install steps are the same as on an Android phone. See casino apps on Android tablets and our Android install guide.
