Can I use the same account on the app and website?
Can I use the same account on the app and website? Yes. With UK casino operators your account belongs to the licensed company, and its app and website are two doors into it, so you sign in with the same details and see the same balance. Device features such as Face ID, widgets and notifications are the main things that differ.
Key takeaways
- Your casino account sits with the licensed operator, so the app and website share one login and one balance.
- Deposit limits are set at account level, so a limit set on the website also covers the app.
- Self-exclusion, time-outs and marketing choices belong to the account, not the device.
- Separate brands are separate accounts, even when one company runs them, as with Coral and Ladbrokes.
- Same login
- Yes, one account per operator
- Balance
- Shared between app and website
- Deposit limits
- Account level, so they cover both
- App-only extras
- Face ID, widgets, push alerts
- Different brands
- Separate accounts
Yes, one casino account works on the app and the website
If you already play on a casino's website, you don't need a new account to use its app. Download the operator's official app, sign in with your existing username or email and password, and you'll see the same balance, history and settings.
That's because the account is held by the company with the Gambling Commission licence, not by the app. The app is simply software that connects to it, much like the website does in a browser. If you sign up in the app first, the same applies in reverse. You'll find related answers in our casino app questions hub.
Why a casino app and website share the same account
App store rules push in this direction. Apple's App Review Guidelines (opens in a new tab) say apps in highly regulated fields, gambling included, should be submitted by a legal entity that provides the service rather than an individual developer. Google Play's real-money gambling policy (opens in a new tab) says the developer must hold a valid gambling licence for each country where the app is offered.
So the official app comes from the operator's own group, and it connects to the operator's own account system. You can see this in the store listings for our partners.
| App store name (iPhone) | Listed seller | UK licence holder |
|---|---|---|
| Coral Casino: Slots & Games | Entain (copyright LC International Limited) | LC International Limited, 54743 |
| Ladbrokes Casino Games & Slots | Entain | LC International Limited, 54743 |
| PlayOJO Real Money Casino | Skill On Net Ltd | Skill On Net Limited, 39326 |
| Casumo Casino & Sports Betting | Casumo (provider Casumo Services Ltd) | Recro Limited, 61549 |
| 10bet: Sports Betting & Casino | 10bet Limited (copyright Blue Star Planet Limited) | Blue Star Planet Limited, 43173 |
An app from anyone else claiming to be a casino's app is a warning sign. Our guide to fake casino apps and scams explains how to spot one, and how casino apps are licensed in the UK covers the licence side.
What carries over between the casino app and the website
Anything stored in your account should look the same wherever you sign in. These are the main items:
| Item | Shared? | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Cash balance | Yes | One balance, whichever door you use |
| Verification status | Yes | Checks are done once per account |
| Deposit limits | Yes | UK rules require account-level limits |
| Time-outs and self-exclusion | Yes | They block the account, not just one device |
| Marketing preferences | Yes | Chosen by product and channel for your account |
| Transaction history | Yes | Layout may differ between app and website |
| Active bonuses and free spins | Usually | Check the offer terms for any app or web restriction |
Deposit limits are a good example. The Gambling Commission's rules on financial limits, which apply from 31 October 2025, call for account-level limits with direct links from the homepage and deposit pages, and decreases must take effect immediately. Set a limit on the website and it should already be in place when you open the app. Our guide to setting deposit limits in a casino app shows the steps.
What isn't shared: features tied to the app or your phone
Some things live on the device rather than in the account, so they won't appear when you switch to a browser.
- Biometric login. Casumo's App Store listing (opens in a new tab) says its app supports Face ID and Touch ID sign-in. Coral, Ladbrokes, PlayOJO and 10bet don't mention it in their listings. See Face ID login on casino apps.
- Widgets and shortcuts. Casumo's listing also mentions a home screen widget, Quick Launch of your last four slots, Quick Deposit and a haptic feedback toggle.
- Push notifications. These are switched on or off in your phone's settings for each app. Marketing consent is separate and sits with the account.
- Privacy labels and permissions. An app's privacy label describes what the app collects. PlayOJO's iPhone listing, for example, says the app may use your location even when it isn't open.
- Updates. The app needs updating; the website doesn't.
Game libraries are a separate question. Our answer on whether games are the same on apps as on desktop covers that, and is the casino app the same as the website? compares the two more broadly.
How to use your website account in the casino app
Moving from the website to the app takes a few minutes. Follow these steps:
- Find the operator's official app by searching the App Store or Google Play for its exact listed name, and check the seller matches the operator.
- Check your phone meets the requirement: Coral and Ladbrokes need iOS 18.0 or later, PlayOJO and Casumo iOS 15.0, and 10bet iOS 16.0.
- Install and open the app, then choose the option to log in rather than to register.
- Enter the same username or email and password you use on the website.
- Allow notifications only if you want them; you can change this later in your phone's settings.
- Open your account area and confirm your balance and deposit limit look the way they do online.

Casino and sportsbook: one app or two?
Some operators put casino and sports betting in one app. On iPhone, Casumo's app is called Casumo Casino & Sports Betting, and 10bet's is 10bet: Sports Betting & Casino, so both products sit behind one sign-in. Our Casumo app review and 10bet app review look at how that works in practice.
The two Entain brands take a different route. Each publishes a dedicated casino app separate from its sportsbook app, so you may end up with two apps from one brand. Check the operator's help pages for how sign-in works across them. Why some sportsbook apps include a casino explains the two models.
When it isn't the same account: different brands
One company can run several brands, and each brand still has its own accounts. Coral and Ladbrokes are both operated by LC International Limited, but a Coral login won't open the Ladbrokes app. Because the operator is shared, you may also not be able to open new accounts at both.
Our answers on using the same login for Coral and Ladbrokes and having more than one casino app cover this in more detail.
App and website showing different information?
If your balance or a setting looks different in the app, the cause is usually on the device side. Work through these checks before contacting support:
- Pull to refresh or close and reopen the app.
- Install any pending update; the NCSC advises applying app updates as soon as they're available (opens in a new tab).
- Log out of the app and back in with the same details.
- Confirm you're signed in to the right brand, not a sister brand.
- If the figures still differ, contact the operator's support with screenshots of both.

One account, one welcome offer: Coral, Ladbrokes and PlayOJO
A welcome offer attaches to your account, so claiming it in the app or online makes no difference, and you can't claim it twice by switching. Because Coral and Ladbrokes share an operator, sign-ups at the second brand can be limited. 18+ and terms apply.
- Coral Casino: 100 free spins at 10p each on selected games when new players deposit (some payment types excluded) and bet £10+ on slots, between 1 October 2026 and 1 February 2027. Accept within 48 hours; use within 7 days; no wagering on winnings from the spins. Neteller, PayPal, Paysafe, Skrill, prepaid cards and certain debit cards don't count.
- Ladbrokes Casino: spend £10+ on slots after depositing to get 50 free spins a day for 10 days, up to 500, valued at 10p each on selected games; claim before 23:59 each day; valid 7 days; no wagering. Deposits by prepaid card, PayPal, Paysafe, Neteller, Skrill or Moneybookers don't qualify.
- PlayOJO: 80 no-wagering free spins on Big Bass Bonanza, 10p each, for new UK customers (Northern Ireland excluded) making a first deposit of £10 or more; winnings paid in cash; not combinable; designated offer link only.
That is £10, up to £50 and £8 of spins at face value. The house edge applies to every spin, so think of the offer as extra play rather than expected profit.

A welcome offer belongs to your account, so it doesn't matter whether you claim it in the app or on the website; you can only claim it once.
Coral and Ladbrokes are both run by LC International Limited (Entain). If you already hold an account with one Entain brand, you may not be able to open another; check the terms first.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to register again to use a casino app?
No. If you already have an account with the operator, log in to its official app with the same details you use on the website. Registering a second time usually breaks the operator's terms, which normally allow one account per person, and could lead to both accounts being closed. If you can't remember your password, use the app's password reset option instead. Our answer on forgotten casino app passwords walks through the reset.
Is my balance the same in the app and on the website?
Yes. The balance belongs to your account with the licensed operator, so it's the same wherever you sign in. If the numbers look different, refresh the app, update it and log in again, because a stale screen is the usual cause. If they still don't match, contact support with screenshots. Our guide to casino app transaction history shows how to check recent payments and bets.
Does a deposit limit set on the website apply in the app?
It should, because UK rules require account-level deposit limits. The Gambling Commission's financial limit rules also say decreases take effect immediately, while increases at operators such as PlayOJO take 24 hours. Set the limit wherever is easiest for you and check it shows in both places. Our deposit limits guide explains how limits work and why setting one before your first deposit helps.
If I self-exclude on the website, am I blocked in the app?
Yes. Self-exclusion applies to your account with the operator, and the Gambling Commission's rules require operators to refuse service and close the accounts of people who self-exclude. Deleting and reinstalling the app won't get round it. To block every GB-licensed operator at once, register with GAMSTOP. See self-exclusion from casino apps for how each option works.
Can I use Face ID on the website as well as the app?
Face ID sign-in is a feature of an app on your iPhone, not of your account, so it won't appear when you use a browser. Among our partners, only Casumo's iPhone listing mentions Face ID and Touch ID login. The others don't mention it, so check the app's settings. Our Face ID and Touch ID guide explains how biometric login works and what apps can and can't see.
Does one Coral login work for Ladbrokes too?
No. Coral and Ladbrokes are both run by LC International Limited, but they are separate brands with separate accounts and separate apps. A Coral login won't open the Ladbrokes app. Because the operator is the same, you may also find you can't open a new account at the second brand. Read the difference between the Coral and Ladbrokes apps for a fuller comparison.
What happens to my account if I delete the casino app?
Nothing. Deleting the app removes the software from your phone, not your account, balance or settings with the operator. You can still sign in on the website or reinstall the app later. If you want to stop playing, closing the account or using a time-out is what actually stops access. See what happens to your balance if you delete the app and how to close a casino account.
Is it better to use the casino app or the website?
It depends on what you value, because your account is the same either way. The app can add extras such as biometric login or a widget, but it takes storage, needs updates and has its own privacy label. The website needs no install and works on any device with a browser. Our answer on whether to play on an app or a browser weighs it up.
