Casino apps on iPad

Casino apps on iPad are the same App Store apps you would install on an iPhone, and all five of our partners list iPad support. What changes is the iPadOS version each one needs, how the bigger screen suits live tables, and the extra care needed when the iPad is shared at home.

Key takeaways

  • Coral, Ladbrokes, PlayOJO, Casumo and 10bet all list iPad in their App Store compatibility.
  • Coral and Ladbrokes need iPadOS 18.0; 10bet needs iPadOS 16.0; PlayOJO and Casumo need iPadOS 15.0.
  • Not every casino app supports iPad: kwiff's listing names Mac and Apple Vision but not iPad.
  • On a shared family iPad, Screen Time can hide 18+ apps and block new installs.
  • UK rules still allow only one casino game at a time, whatever the screen size.

Which casino apps work on iPad

Most UK casino apps are built for iPhone and iPad together, so one App Store download covers both. The place to confirm it is the Compatibility line in the listing's Information section, which names every Apple device the app supports. This page sits in our casino apps by device hub and focuses on the tablet; phone owners should start with casino apps on iPhone.

So an iPad that can't move beyond iPadOS 17 will still run PlayOJO, Casumo and 10bet, but not the current Coral or Ladbrokes apps. Our iPad download guide shows how to check your version before you search.

iPad support in other UK casino apps

Outside our partners, iPad support is common but not universal. A quick look at the compatibility lines on the UK App Store shows the pattern.

If an app doesn't list iPad, the App Store may hide it on your tablet or offer only an iPhone-sized window. The operator's mobile website in Safari is then the cleaner route, and our page on casino sites that work without an app covers that option.

How to install a casino app on your iPad

The process mirrors the iPhone, with one extra check: making sure the listing really supports iPad rather than running a scaled-up phone app.

  1. Open Settings, then General and About, and note your iPadOS version.
  2. Check the Apple Account on the iPad is set to the United Kingdom, because UK casino apps are geo-restricted to the UK storefront.
  3. Open the App Store and search the app's full store name.
  4. Confirm the seller (Entain for Coral and Ladbrokes, Skill On Net Ltd for PlayOJO, Casumo for Casumo, 10bet Limited for 10bet).
  5. Under Information, check Compatibility lists iPad and that your iPadOS meets the minimum.
  6. Tap Get and confirm the download.
  7. Log in with your existing account or sign up; identity and age checks apply before any deposit.

Already play on your phone? You use the same account on the iPad, and your balance and limits carry across. The brand pages for the Coral iPhone and iPad app, PlayOJO's iOS app and Casumo's iOS app list each app's details in full.

What the bigger iPad screen changes for casino games

A tablet doesn't change the maths of any game. Apps don't carry a lower RTP just because they run on a tablet (check the game's help screen for its figure), and the house edge still means you should expect to lose more than you win over time. What changes is how much you can see at once.

  • Live dealer tables: the video, the betting grid and the chat can share the screen with less overlap, which suits live roulette and blackjack.
  • Roulette layouts: a full table fits without pinching to zoom, so misplaced chips are less likely.
  • Slots: most are designed for phones first, and on an iPad they simply scale up.
  • Bingo and Slingo: larger cards and number grids are easier to follow.

Whether a game runs in portrait or landscape depends on the game, so test it in both. Our guide to landscape vs portrait mode explains why some tables rotate and others don't, and phone vs tablet weighs the two side by side.

How many people gamble on a tablet?

Tablets are a minority device. The Gambling Commission's 2019 participation figures (opens in a new tab) found 16% of online gamblers had used a tablet, against 50% on a mobile phone and 38% on a laptop. Its 2020 survey put tablet use at just under one in five.

iPad multitasking and the one-game-at-a-time rule

iPads are built for running apps side by side, and it is tempting to put a slot in one window and a live table in another. UK rules work against that. Since 17 January 2025 the Gambling Commission's RTS 14 product design standard (opens in a new tab) has stopped licensed operators letting you play more than one casino game at the same time.

The same package of rules requires casino games other than slots to take at least 5 seconds per game cycle, slots at least 2.5 seconds, and no autoplay on any casino game. Your net spend and time spent must be on screen as you play. A bigger display makes these counters easier to read, which is one genuine advantage of playing on a tablet.

Casino apps on a shared family iPad

iPads are often family devices, which makes them riskier than a personal phone. A child who picks up the tablet may find a casino app logged in, or see a gambling notification. Real-money apps carry Apple's 18+ rating, and Apple applies its 13+, 16+ and 18+ age tiers on devices running iPadOS 26 or later.

  1. Give each child their own Apple Account in Family Sharing, rather than sharing yours.
  2. In Screen Time, open Content & Privacy Restrictions and set the App Store age limit below 18+ for the child's account.
  3. Set Installing Apps to Blocked if you don't want new apps added without you.
  4. In your own casino app, log out after each session and switch off any saved login.
  5. Turn off the app's notifications so promotions don't appear on the lock screen.

Apple's Content & Privacy Restrictions guide (opens in a new tab) shows each option. Our pages on sharing a device with casino apps and young people and gambling apps go further. Operators must verify age before anyone can deposit or play, even demo games, but a logged-in account bypasses that check, so logging out matters.

From iPad to Mac and Apple Vision

Because Coral, Ladbrokes, PlayOJO and Casumo are iPad apps, Apple also offers them on Macs with an M1 chip or later. Their listings label this "Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS", which means the developer hasn't confirmed the Mac experience. Expect the iPad layout in a window rather than a desktop-style casino.

All five partner apps also list Apple Vision. Our pages on casino apps on Mac and casino apps on Apple Vision Pro explain what that compatibility does and doesn't promise.

Wi-Fi, mobile data and battery on an iPad

Many iPads are Wi-Fi only, so most tablet play happens at home. That suits live casino, which streams video continuously and is the most data-hungry part of any casino app. On a cellular iPad, the same streams eat into your mobile allowance far faster than slots or table games drawn by the app itself.

Casino apps also need to confirm you are in a licensed area. Apple's rules require geo-restriction but don't say how it must be done, and the operators' help pages don't say either, so allow the location permission if the app asks and you want it to work. Our guide on playing live casino on mobile data and the location question cover both topics.

Best casino apps for iPad: how to choose

Start with your iPadOS version, then decide whether you want a casino-only app or a combined sportsbook. After that, look at what you'll actually use the larger screen for.

  • Older iPad on iPadOS 15 to 17: PlayOJO, Casumo and 10bet still install; Coral and Ladbrokes don't.
  • Live tables on a big screen: Coral and Ladbrokes both list live casino, and Ladbrokes mentions game shows.
  • Small download for a full tablet: PlayOJO at 25.4 MB.
  • Sport and casino in one place: Casumo or 10bet.

iPad casino apps with a welcome offer

The offer runs from 1 October 2026 to 1 February 2027.

Coral and Ladbrokes are both run by LC International Limited (Entain). If you already hold an account with one Entain brand, you may not be able to open another; check the terms first.

Frequently asked questions

Do casino apps work on iPad?

Yes, most UK casino apps work on iPad, including all five of our partners. Coral and Ladbrokes need iPadOS 18.0, 10bet needs iPadOS 16.0, and PlayOJO and Casumo need iPadOS 15.0. A few apps, such as kwiff, don't list iPad support, so check the Compatibility line on the App Store listing before you download. Our answer to do casino apps work on iPad has more detail.

Is there a separate casino app for iPad?

No, UK casino brands generally publish one app that covers both iPhone and iPad. You download the same App Store listing on your tablet and log in with the same account, and your balance, limits and history carry across. The listing's Compatibility line confirms whether the app has been built for iPad. See our iPad download guide for the full process.

Is live casino better on an iPad?

A bigger screen makes live tables easier to follow, but it doesn't change the odds. The video, betting grid and chat have more room, so you are less likely to tap the wrong bet. Live streams use more data than other games, so Wi-Fi is the steadier choice. The house edge is the same on every screen. Compare platforms in phone vs tablet or see best live casino apps.

Can I play two casino games side by side on an iPad?

No, UK rules stop licensed operators letting you play more than one casino game at once. The Gambling Commission brought this in on 17 January 2025, alongside the 5-second minimum for non-slot games and the autoplay ban for all casino games. Split View may show two apps, but the casino itself must not let you run simultaneous games. Read game speed rules for the full rule set.

How do I stop my children using casino apps on our iPad?

Give each child their own Apple Account and use Screen Time's Content & Privacy Restrictions to keep 18+ apps off their profile. You can also block new app installs and protect the settings with a passcode only you know. Always log out of your casino account after playing and turn off its notifications. Our guide to blocking casino apps with Screen Time covers each setting.

Will a casino app run on my old iPad?

It depends on the highest iPadOS version your iPad can install. If it stops at iPadOS 15, PlayOJO and Casumo still list support; iPadOS 16 adds 10bet; Coral and Ladbrokes need iPadOS 18.0. An app that won't install may still be playable through the operator's website in Safari. Our page on casino apps on older phones explains the options for ageing Apple devices too.

Does a casino app on iPad need my location?

Usually it needs to confirm you are in a licensed area, because Apple requires real-money apps to be geo-restricted. Apple doesn't specify the method, and the operators don't publish one, so the app may use location permission, network signals or both. The Coral and Ladbrokes privacy labels list location data, and PlayOJO's listing warns it may use location when closed. See why does a casino app need my location.

Can I use the same casino account on my iPhone and iPad?

Yes, one casino account works on every device where you log in, including the website. Your balance, deposit limits and self-exclusion settings follow the account, not the device. That also means a limit you set on your phone protects you on the tablet too. Our answer to can I use the same account on the app and website explains how this works.
