Trustly casino apps

Trustly casino apps let you pay straight from your bank account with no card details, and among our UK partners PlayOJO and Casumo name Trustly on their own pages. Coral and Ladbrokes offer Pay by Bank through a different provider, TrueLayer, and 10bet lists Trustly only in third-party reviews. Here's how they rank and what to watch.

Key takeaways

  • PlayOJO and Casumo name Trustly on their own pages; 10bet's Trustly listing comes from third-party reviews.
  • Coral and Ladbrokes offer Pay by Bank through TrueLayer, not Trustly, with a £5 minimum deposit.
  • Trustly UK Limited is FCA-authorised and says it never stores your bank login and can't pay without your approval.
  • Some bank gambling blocks only stop card payments, so a bank payment may get through; set a deposit limit in the app.
  • None of the partner welcome offers names Trustly or Pay by Bank as excluded.

Which casino apps use Trustly?

Two of our five partners name Trustly directly. PlayOJO lists it on its help page alongside debit cards, Payz and Apple Pay, and Casumo lists it among its deposit methods. Third-party reviews also list Trustly for 10bet, though 10bet's own help centre doesn't name methods.

Coral and Ladbrokes work differently. Both offer Pay by Bank, but their help pages show it runs through TrueLayer rather than Trustly. From your side the experience is similar, since you approve a payment in your own banking app, but if you're searching for the Trustly name in the cashier, you won't find it there.

We've kept our standard partner order below and flagged the provider each app uses. For every payment ranking, see the best casino apps hub.

What Trustly is and how it works in a casino app

Trustly is a Pay by Bank service. Its help article what is Trustly and how do I pay with it (opens in a new tab) describes the flow: at checkout you choose your bank and approve the payment with that bank's own security, such as your banking app login or biometrics. No card number changes hands.

In the UK the service is provided by Trustly UK Limited (opens in a new tab), an Authorised Payment Institution regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FRN 1005703). Its parent, Trustly Group AB, is a Swedish payment institution. Trustly says it never stores your bank login details and can't make a payment without your authorisation. It handles pay-ins and pay-outs, and also offers account verification services to businesses.

How we ranked Trustly casino apps

Only our five partners are ranked, and the order rests on published facts rather than any payments made by us. We looked at:

  1. Whether the operator names Trustly, or another Pay by Bank provider, on its own pages.
  2. Whether bank payments work for withdrawals as well as deposits, and how long they take.
  3. Minimum deposits and withdrawal fees.
  4. Whether a bank payment counts for the welcome offer.
  5. The app itself and the support available if a payment stalls.

The two Entain brands stay at the top of our order on the strength of their published bank payment rules, but we've been clear that they use TrueLayer. If the Trustly brand specifically matters to you, PlayOJO and Casumo are the two partners that name it.

Trustly and Pay by Bank casino apps, ranked

1. Coral Casino: Pay by Bank through TrueLayer

Coral's Pay by Bank help page (opens in a new tab) confirms bank payments from £5, run through TrueLayer. Coral's help pages also confirm Pay by Bank withdrawals, and it has Fast Bank Transfer as a withdrawal-only option taking 2 to 4 business days once approved. It charges no withdrawal fees and caps single deposits at £2,000.

Pay by Bank isn't among the methods excluded from Coral's welcome offer. The app is a standalone casino download from Entain, needing iOS 18.0 or later. If Trustly by name is a must, Coral isn't the app for you. See the Coral payments page.

2. Ladbrokes Casino: the same TrueLayer setup

Ladbrokes, run by the same company, LC International Limited, mirrors Coral: Pay by Bank through TrueLayer from £5, bank withdrawals, Fast Bank Transfer in 2 to 4 business days, no withdrawal fees. Pay by Bank isn't excluded from its offer either.

It sits second because it duplicates Coral, and Entain may not let one person open new accounts at both. Read about Ladbrokes withdrawals for the full method list.

3. PlayOJO: Trustly named on the help page

PlayOJO names Trustly directly, making it the most straightforward pick for anyone who wants the Trustly service itself. Its help page says most payments are processed within a few hours, withdrawals go back to the deposit method where possible, and you can withdraw as little as you want. It also notes that some deposit methods can take up to 3 working days to be credited, without saying which, so check how quickly a Trustly deposit lands.

PlayOJO is casino-only, with no sportsbook, and its iOS app is just 25.4 MB on iOS 15.0 or later. Its welcome offer names no excluded payment methods. See the PlayOJO payments page.

4. Casumo: Trustly for deposits

Casumo lists Trustly among its deposit methods, with a £10 minimum deposit for every method. It doesn't publish Trustly withdrawals separately; its bank withdrawals take up to 5 days, while PayPal, Apple Pay, Skrill, Neteller and MuchBetter are paid instantly after approval. A £3 fee applies to withdrawals below £10.

Its welcome bonus says payment restrictions apply without naming methods on the pages we could read, so check the terms in the app before a Trustly first deposit. See Casumo withdrawals.

5. 10bet: Trustly per third-party reviews

Third-party reviews list Trustly for 10bet deposits, but 10bet's help centre doesn't name methods. It says bank transfers take up to 3 business days and debit cards and e-wallets up to 2. Its welcome offer excludes Skrill and Neteller, not Trustly. 10bet is the only partner publishing UK phone hours (0808 175 0550, 08:00 to 23:00 daily), handy if a bank payment needs chasing.

Here's what each partner publishes for bank payments. 'Not published' means we couldn't find it, so check the app's cashier.

A small worked example: deposit £10 by Trustly at Casumo, and if you later cash out £9 the £3 fee leaves you £6, a third gone. Withdrawing £10 or more avoids it. For speed across every method, our fast withdrawal casino apps ranking sets out the published times.

How a Trustly deposit works on your phone

The screens differ by casino and by bank, but a Trustly or Pay by Bank deposit generally follows this pattern:

  1. Sign in to the casino app; identity checks must be complete before you can deposit.
  2. Set a deposit limit when prompted, which UK apps must ask you to do before a first deposit.
  3. Open the cashier, choose Trustly (or Pay by Bank) and enter the amount.
  4. Pick your bank from the list shown.
  5. Approve the payment with your bank's own security, often by switching to your banking app.
  6. Return to the casino app and check the deposit in your transaction history.

If your bank isn't listed or the payment fails, try again later or use another method; our guide to a casino app payment being declined covers common causes.

Trustly and bank gambling blocks: the gap to know about

This is the most important safety point on this page. Many banks' gambling blocks work on card transactions, and a Pay by Bank payment isn't a card transaction. Revolut says its gambling block (opens in a new tab) doesn't affect bank transfers or payments through third-party apps, and Lloyds says its freeze doesn't cover direct debits or bank transfers. HSBC, by contrast, says its restriction includes the Pay by Bank app.

So if you rely on a bank block to stop gambling spending, check whether it covers bank payments before assuming it does. The Gambling Commission keeps a list of banks offering blocks, and our guide to gambling blocks on banking apps explains the differences.

Casino games cost money and the house edge means losses are likely over time. If gambling is becoming a worry, the National Gambling Helpline is free and open 24/7 on 0808 8020 133.

Do Trustly deposits count for casino bonuses?

On the published terms, Trustly and Pay by Bank aren't named as excluded at any of our partners. That contrasts with e-wallets: Coral and Ladbrokes exclude PayPal, Skrill, Neteller and Paysafe, and 10bet excludes Skrill and Neteller. Casumo is the one to check, because it says payment restrictions apply without naming them publicly.

In pounds, the offers range from PlayOJO's 80 spins at 10p (£8 face value) to Casumo's 50% bonus, which pays £10 on a £20 deposit and up to £100 on £200. Remember the house edge still applies to every spin you play with bonus money. The UK wagering cap limits wagering to 10x the bonus.

How to choose a Trustly casino app

  • You want Trustly by name: PlayOJO or Casumo, the two partners that list it.
  • You just want to pay from your bank: Coral and Ladbrokes publish Pay by Bank from £5, with no withdrawal fees.
  • You want the lowest minimum: £5 by Pay by Bank at Coral or Ladbrokes; Casumo's is £10.
  • You withdraw small amounts: PlayOJO says you can withdraw as little as you want; Casumo charges £3 under £10.
  • You rely on a bank block: check it covers bank payments, or choose a bank like HSBC that says it does.

For a broader look at bank-to-casino payments, see our Pay by Bank casino apps ranking, or compare wallets in PayPal casino apps.

What to avoid with Trustly casino apps

  • Unlicensed casino apps that promote fast bank payments; they offer no Gambling Commission protection.
  • Approving a bank payment request you didn't start. Trustly says it can't take money without your authorisation, so never approve an unexpected one.
  • Assuming a Trustly logo means Trustly withdrawals; check where the operator says payouts go.
  • Relying on a card-only bank block to stop bank payments.
  • Making several quick top-ups in one session because bank payments feel effortless.

Frequently asked questions

Which UK casino apps accept Trustly?

PlayOJO and Casumo name Trustly on their own pages, and third-party reviews list it for 10bet. Pay by Bank at Coral and Ladbrokes runs through TrueLayer instead, which works in a similar way. Among non-partner brands, third-party pages list Trustly at bet365, 888casino and Betway. Payment lists change, so check the cashier in the app. Our Trustly payments guide explains the service itself.

Is Trustly safe to use at a casino app?

Trustly is regulated in the UK as Trustly UK Limited, an FCA-authorised payment institution, and says it never stores your bank login and can't make a payment without your authorisation. You approve each payment with your own bank's security. The casino matters too, so use only UK-licensed apps from the official stores. Our guide to whether casino apps are safe covers the checks.

Do Coral and Ladbrokes use Trustly?

No. Their help pages show Pay by Bank runs through TrueLayer, a different open banking provider. You still pay straight from your bank account and approve the payment in your bank, with a £5 minimum deposit, and both confirm Pay by Bank withdrawals and charge no withdrawal fees. If you want Trustly by name, PlayOJO and Casumo list it. Our Coral vs Ladbrokes comparison sets the two apps side by side.

Can I withdraw to Trustly from a casino app?

It depends on the app. Trustly offers pay-outs to businesses, but our partners don't all publish Trustly withdrawals. PlayOJO says withdrawals go back to the deposit method where possible, and Casumo publishes bank withdrawals of up to 5 days rather than a Trustly-specific route. Coral's and Ladbrokes' help pages confirm Pay by Bank withdrawals. Check the cashier when you cash out, and see how long casino app withdrawals take.

Will my bank's gambling block stop Trustly payments?

Not always. Some bank blocks only cover card payments: Revolut says its block doesn't affect bank transfers or third-party app payments, and Lloyds says its freeze doesn't cover transfers. HSBC says its restriction includes the Pay by Bank app. Check your own bank's wording, and add a deposit limit in the casino app, which covers every method. Our answer to whether your bank can block casino app payments lists the banks offering blocks.

Does a Trustly deposit count for a welcome bonus?

On the published terms, yes at our partners, because none names Trustly or Pay by Bank as excluded. E-wallets are a different story: Coral and Ladbrokes exclude PayPal, Skrill, Neteller and Paysafe. Casumo says payment restrictions apply to its bonus without naming them publicly, so check its terms in the app. Our page on payment methods excluded from bonuses explains how to spot exclusions.

Do I need a Trustly account to pay at a casino?

No. Trustly describes itself as Pay by Bank: you pick your bank at checkout and approve the payment with your bank's own login or biometrics, without creating a separate wallet. That's different from e-wallets such as PayPal or Skrill, where you hold a balance in an account. The glossary entry for Trustly gives a short definition.

Is there a fee for using Trustly at a casino app?

Trustly's help pages that we checked don't state a consumer fee, and our partners don't list a Trustly deposit charge. Withdrawal fees are set by the casino: Coral and Ladbrokes say they charge none, Casumo charges £3 on withdrawals below £10, and PlayOJO and 10bet don't publish a fee. The market-wide picture is on our casino app withdrawal fees page.
