Casino apps for Mac, ranked
Casino apps for Mac are iPad apps that run on Macs with an Apple M1 chip or later, and the macOS version you're on decides which ones you can install. PlayOJO and Casumo reach back to macOS 12, Coral and Ladbrokes need macOS 15, and 10bet doesn't list Mac at all. Here's how to match an app to your Mac.
Key takeaways
- Only Apple silicon Macs (M1 or later) can run casino apps; on an Intel Mac, use the casino's website.
- PlayOJO and Casumo need macOS 12.0 or later; Coral and Ladbrokes need macOS 15.0 or later.
- All four Mac-compatible apps are marked “Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS”.
- 10bet doesn't list Mac support, so on a Mac its casino is a browser-only option.
- Chip needed
- Apple M1 or later
- Oldest macOS supported
- 12.0 (PlayOJO, Casumo)
- macOS for Coral and Ladbrokes
- 15.0 or later
- Smallest download
- PlayOJO, 25.4 MB
- No Mac listing
- 10bet
Casino apps for Mac: the short answer
There are no casino apps built specifically for macOS among our partners. What you can get are their iPad apps, which Apple lets run on Macs with an M1 chip or later. Four of our five partners list Mac compatibility on the UK App Store. The best casino apps for Mac, judged by how many Macs they'll run on, are PlayOJO and Casumo, followed by Coral and Ladbrokes.
The deciding detail is your macOS version. If your Mac is on macOS 12, 13 or 14, only two of the four apps will install. On macOS 15 or later, all four will. If you have an Intel Mac, none will, and the operator's website is your route in. Our guide to casino apps on Mac covers the set-up side in more depth.
How we ranked casino apps for Mac
We ranked our partner apps on what their UK App Store listings say, checked on 20 October 2026. We didn't install them on a Mac ourselves, so we can't speak to how each one looks or responds there, and neither, officially, can the developers: every listing is marked as not verified for macOS.
- Mac reach: the oldest macOS version the listing supports. A lower floor means more Macs can run it.
- Download size: Mac storage is often tighter than people expect, particularly on base models.
- App type: a casino-only app keeps the Mac focused on one thing; a combined sportsbook app adds a second product.
- Privacy label: a Mac is often a shared household computer, so what an app tracks matters more.
Because these criteria differ from our general ranking, PlayOJO and Casumo come first here and the offer boxes follow the same order. For the overall picture, see our main casino app ranking.
The best casino apps for Mac, ranked
1. PlayOJO: the widest Mac reach and the smallest download
The App Store listing for PlayOJO Real Money Casino (opens in a new tab) names Macs with Apple M1 or later on macOS 12.0 or later. At 25.4 MB it's by far the smallest app here, and it's a pure casino brand with no sportsbook. The publisher is Skill On Net Ltd, licensed by the Gambling Commission under account 39326.
Its privacy label is the shortest of the five: identifiers used to track you, plus a device ID not linked to you. One quirk is worth knowing: the listing says the app may use your location even when it's not open, which can drain battery. Read more in our PlayOJO app review.
2. Casumo: macOS 12 support in a combined app
Casumo Casino & Sports Betting on the App Store (opens in a new tab) matches PlayOJO's macOS 12.0 floor and is 52.5 MB. On iOS it's one combined casino and sportsbook app, published by Casumo Services Ltd; the casino is licensed to Recro Limited (account 61549). The listing mentions Face ID and Touch ID login, Quick Launch of your last four slots and a haptic feedback toggle.
Those features were written for iPhone and iPad, and the listing doesn't say which of them work on a Mac. Its privacy label is also the longest here, with identifiers, usage data and diagnostics used to track you. See the Casumo app review for its games and payments.
3. Coral: a standalone casino app that needs macOS 15
The Coral Casino: Slots & Games listing (opens in a new tab) says it runs on Apple silicon Macs with macOS 15.0 or later and is 101.6 MB. It's a dedicated casino app from Entain, separate from Coral's sports app, and licensed to LC International Limited (account 54743).
Its privacy label lists user content and usage data as used to track you, and coarse location as linked to you. If your Mac is on macOS 15 and you want a casino-only app from a big UK operator, it's a solid choice. Full details are in our Coral Casino app review.
4. Ladbrokes: same requirements as Coral, a lighter privacy label
“Ladbrokes Casino Games & Slots” has the same macOS 15.0 floor and M1 requirement as Coral, at 101.2 MB. It's also an Entain casino-only app under the same licence. The difference on a shared Mac is the privacy label: it shows no tracking category, and the precise location it collects is listed as not linked to you.
Coral and Ladbrokes share an operator, so you may not be able to hold new accounts at both. Our Ladbrokes Casino app review has the rest.
5. 10bet: no Mac listing, so use the browser
The 10bet: Sports Betting & Casino listing (opens in a new tab) names iPhone, iPad and Apple Vision, but not Mac. It's a sportsbook-led app in the Sports category, 112.3 MB, and needs iOS 16.0. On a Mac, you'd reach 10bet's casino through its website instead. That's why it ranks last here, not because of anything wrong with the account itself. See the 10bet app review.
Which Mac can run which casino app
This is the quickest way to narrow the list. Find your Mac in the left-hand column, and the right-hand column tells you which of our partners' apps will install.
| Your Mac | Apps from our list that will install | Other route |
|---|---|---|
| Intel Mac, any macOS | None | Operator websites in Safari or another browser |
| Apple silicon, macOS 11 | None of our five | Websites |
| Apple silicon, macOS 12 to 14 | PlayOJO, Casumo | Websites for Coral, Ladbrokes, 10bet |
| Apple silicon, macOS 15 or later | PlayOJO, Casumo, Coral, Ladbrokes | Website for 10bet |
If you're on Apple silicon but stuck on an older macOS, updating may open up Coral and Ladbrokes, provided your Mac supports macOS 15. For how these requirements shift as apps update, see which iOS version casino apps need.
How to check your Mac and install a casino app
- Open About This Mac from the Apple menu and note two things: the chip (Apple M1 or later, or Intel) and the macOS version.
- If it's an Intel Mac, stop here and use the casino's website instead.
- On Apple silicon, use the matrix above to see which apps your macOS version supports.
- Open the App Store on your Mac and search for the app's exact name, such as “PlayOJO Real Money Casino”.
- Check that the result is the iPad version from the right publisher and that its listing names Mac as compatible.
- Install it, then log in with your existing account or register; you'll need to pass age and identity checks before you can play.
Never download a “Mac casino app” from a website or a file sent to you. Licensed operators distribute through the App Store, and anything else risks malware or an unlicensed site. The warning signs are set out in fake casino apps and scams.
Living with “Not verified for macOS”
Every Mac-compatible partner app carries the label “Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS”. It means Apple lets the iPad app run, but the developer hasn't confirmed it's been checked on a Mac. In practice, an app designed for touch is being driven by a trackpad, mouse and keyboard.
That doesn't make the app unsafe: it's the same licensed app from the same publisher. It does mean that if a screen looks odd or a feature doesn't respond, the website is a reasonable fallback. Your account, balance and limits are shared between the app and the site, as explained in using the same account on app and website.
Privacy labels matter more on a shared Mac
A phone is usually personal. A Mac is often the family computer. So it's worth knowing what each app says it collects, as shown on its App Store privacy label. The categories are explained in how to read a casino app privacy label.
| App | Used to track you | Linked to you (summary) | Location |
|---|---|---|---|
| PlayOJO | Identifiers | None listed | Listing says it may use location when not open |
| Casumo | Identifiers, usage data, diagnostics | Financial info, contact info, user content, identifiers, usage data, diagnostics | Not in the iOS label; Google Play says it may share location |
| Coral | User content, usage data | Location (coarse), contact info, financial info, identifiers and more | Coarse, linked to you |
| Ladbrokes | No tracking category shown | Financial info, contact info, user content, identifiers and more | Precise, not linked to you |
On a shared Mac, give each person their own macOS user account and don't let the browser or app remember your casino password. If you want gambling apps and sites blocked across every device, the paid tool Gamban says it covers Mac as well as iPhone and Android. See our guide to blocking gambling with Gamban.
What a session at your desk costs in pounds
A bigger screen doesn't change the maths. The expected cost of play is the amount you stake multiplied by the house edge, and that holds on a Mac, a phone or a browser. These figures use a slot with a 96% RTP as an example and European roulette's 2.70% edge; check each game's help screen for its own figure.
| Game and stake | Total staked | House edge | Expected loss |
|---|---|---|---|
| Slot, 20p a spin | £100 | 4% | £4 |
| Slot, £1 a spin | £500 | 4% | £20 |
| European roulette, £1 a spin | £500 | 2.70% | £13.50 |
| European roulette, £5 a spin | £2,500 | 2.70% | £67.50 |
Real sessions swing well above and below these averages, but over time results drift towards them. UK apps must show your net position and time played in real time, and they can't let you play several games at once. Set a reality check if long desk sessions are a risk for you.
Other UK casino apps that list Mac support
These brands aren't partners, so they're unranked and we don't link to their apps. The details are from their UK App Store listings.
| Brand | Mac listed? | macOS needed | App type |
|---|---|---|---|
| Kwiff | Yes, M1 or later | 11.0 | Combined sports and casino |
| Paddy Power (sports app) | Yes, M1 or later | 12.0 | Combined; the separate Games app doesn't list Mac |
| BetMGM | Yes, M1 or later | 13.3 | Combined sports and casino |
| PartyCasino | Yes, not verified | 15.0 | Standalone casino |
| Gala Bingo | Yes, not verified | 15.0 | Bingo and casino |
| Virgin Games, Jackpotjoy, Sky Vegas, Midnite | No | Not applicable | Use their websites on a Mac |
Kwiff has the lowest macOS floor of any app we've checked, though its listing doesn't include iPad, which is unusual.
What to avoid when gambling on a Mac
- Installer files from websites. A casino app for Mac should come from the App Store, never a download link.
- Staying logged in on a family computer. Log out after each session, especially in a shared browser.
- Using a VPN. Hiding your location can break an operator's terms and get an account restricted. See casino apps and VPNs.
- Credit cards. They can't be used for gambling in Great Britain, including through e-wallets funded by a credit card.
- Assuming the Mac version has extra features. It's the iPad app; the account, games and offers are the same.
Mac-friendly casino apps with a welcome offer
A Mac doesn't change which welcome offer you get: it's the same as on a phone or the website. All offers are for new customers aged 18 or over, and terms apply.
- PlayOJO: 80 free spins on Big Bass Bonanza at 10p each with a first deposit of at least £10; no wagering, and winnings are paid in cash. Not available in Northern Ireland, can't be combined with other offers, and only through the designated offer link.
- Casumo: opt in for a 50% bonus up to £100 on a first deposit of £20 or more. Wager the bonus 10x within 7 days, with a £5 maximum bet while it's active; game, play and payment restrictions apply.
- Coral: deposit and bet £10 on slots for 100 free spins at 10p each on selected games, accepted within 48 hours and used within 7 days, no wagering on winnings. Runs 1 October 2026 to 1 February 2027; Neteller, PayPal, Paysafe, Skrill, prepaid and certain debit cards don't qualify.
- Ladbrokes: play £10 on slots for 50 free spins a day over your first 10 days, up to 500, at 10p each on selected games; claim by 23:59 daily, use within 7 days, no wagering. Prepaid cards, PayPal, Paysafe, Neteller, Skrill and Moneybookers don't qualify.

Frequently asked questions
What is the best casino app for Mac?
PlayOJO is our top pick for Mac because it supports the widest range: any Apple silicon Mac on macOS 12.0 or later. It's also the smallest download at 25.4 MB and a casino-only app. Casumo matches its macOS floor in a combined casino and sports app. Coral and Ladbrokes need macOS 15.0. If you own an Intel Mac, none of them will install, so use a website. Read our PlayOJO app review for more.
Can I download casino apps on an Intel Mac?
No. The partner apps that list Mac support require an Apple M1 chip or later, because they're iPad apps running on Apple silicon. On an Intel Mac, you can still play by logging in to the operator's website in Safari or another browser, using the same account, balance and limits. Our page on casino sites that work without an app covers the browser route in detail.
Does 10bet have a Mac app?
No. The UK App Store listing for 10bet: Sports Betting & Casino names iPhone, iPad and Apple Vision but not Mac. It's a sportsbook-led app with a casino section, and it needs iOS 16.0 on mobile devices. On a Mac, you'd use 10bet's website to reach the casino. The welcome offer is the same whichever route you use. Our 10bet Casino app review explains the app on iPhone and Android.
Which casino app needs the oldest macOS?
Among our partners, PlayOJO and Casumo both support macOS 12.0 or later on Apple silicon Macs, while Coral and Ladbrokes need macOS 15.0. Among other UK brands we've checked, Kwiff lists macOS 11.0, the lowest floor we found, though it's a combined sports and casino app. Requirements rise as apps update, so check the listing before you rely on an older Mac. Our Mac device guide has more.
Are casino apps on Mac the same as on iPhone?
Yes, in substance. On a Mac you're running the same iPad app, so the account, games, offers and safer-gambling tools are the same. What differs is the input: you use a trackpad and keyboard on an app designed for touch, and every listing is marked as not verified for macOS. If something doesn't work properly, the website is the fallback. Our comparison of casino apps and desktop play sets out the differences.
Is it safe to download a casino app for Mac from a website?
No, avoid it. UK-licensed operators distribute their apps through the App Store, and an installer file from a website or message could be malware or lead to an unlicensed casino with no UK protection. If an app isn't in the Mac App Store, use the operator's website in your browser instead. The checks are listed in how to spot an unlicensed casino app.
Can I block casino apps on my Mac?
Yes. The paid blocking tool Gamban says it covers Mac as well as Windows, iPhone and Android, and one licence can cover all your devices. You can also register with GAMSTOP to self-exclude from UK-licensed gambling sites and apps for 6 months, 1 year or 5 years, and ask your bank to block gambling payments. See our guide to Gamban for set-up help.
Do I get a different welcome offer on a Mac?
No. Welcome offers belong to your account, not your device, so you get the same deal on a Mac, a phone or a browser. For example, PlayOJO's offer is 80 free spins at 10p on Big Bass Bonanza with a £10 first deposit and no wagering, for new customers aged 18 or over; terms apply. Our guide to claiming a bonus in a casino app explains the steps.
