New casino apps UK
New casino apps UK players come across are often old brands with a new licence holder, a rebuilt app or a fresh offer, rather than brand-new casinos. None of our five partners launched this year, and we think that's no bad thing. This page ranks them on how current their apps are, shows which recent UK rules every app must follow, and explains how to check any new app before you trust it.
Key takeaways
- None of our partners is a new launch; the newest partner licence is Recro Limited's (Casumo), active since 21 December 2023.
- Coral and Ladbrokes' casino apps need iOS 18.0 or later, the most recent requirement among our partners.
- Every UK-licensed app, new or old, must follow the 10x wagering cap from 19 January 2026 and the 2025 slot stake limits.
- Before trusting any new casino app, match its App Store or Google Play publisher to a live Gambling Commission licence.

New casino apps UK: the honest answer
If you're searching for new casino apps, you'll mostly find established operators in new clothes. That's true of our partners too. PlayOJO launched in February 2017, 10bet's licence holder has held a casino licence since December 2015, and Coral and Ladbrokes have run under LC International Limited's licence since July 2019.
The newest pieces are elsewhere: Casumo's licence holder, Recro Limited, has held its remote casino licence since 21 December 2023, Coral's current welcome offer started on 1 October 2026, and the Entain casino apps now need iOS 18. Among other UK brands, BetMGM was reported to have launched in the UK in 2023. Our main best casino apps list covers every ranking.
What counts as a new casino app?
New can mean four quite different things, and only one of them involves a casino you've never heard of.
| Kind of new | Example from published facts | What it means for you |
|---|---|---|
| New brand | BetMGM, reported UK launch in 2023 on LeoVegas Gaming PLC's licence | Shorter track record; check its licence and owner |
| New licence holder | Sky Vegas moved to Bonne Terre Gaming Limited (licence from 18 November 2024) | Terms and the legal company change; your app may look the same |
| New app build | Coral and Ladbrokes casino apps now need iOS 18.0 | Older iPhones that can't update may lose access |
| New offer | Coral's slots offer runs 1 October 2026 to 1 February 2027 | Fresh terms to read; same app and licence |
A brand-new brand isn't automatically riskier if it holds a UK licence, but it has less history to judge. A new licence holder for an old brand is worth noticing, because the company you have a contract with is the one named in the terms.
How we ranked new casino apps for current sign-ups
We don't rank by launch date, because a newer casino isn't a better one. Instead we asked which partner app is most current and best set up for someone joining today, using only published facts:
- how recent the app's store listing requirements are, and what devices it supports;
- app features named in the store listing;
- whether the welcome offer is current, dated and clearly described;
- licence status on the Gambling Commission's register.
The order is our standard partner ranking. Other new or recently changed apps appear later as unranked brands worth knowing.
Best new and recently updated casino apps, ranked
1. Coral Casino: current build, dated offer
Coral Casino: Slots & Games is a dedicated casino app that now needs iOS 18.0 or later, and it lists support for iPhone, iPad, Apple silicon Macs and Apple Vision. Its listing names free-to-play games with real-money prizes and promotions such as Smart Rewards, Rewards Grabber and Coral Coins. The welcome offer has published start and end dates: 1 October 2026 to 1 February 2027. The trade-off of that iOS 18 requirement is that older iPhones are left out.
2. Ladbrokes Casino: same recent platform, its own extras
Ladbrokes Casino Games & Slots shares the iOS 18.0 requirement and the same Entain platform. Its listing describes free-to-play games such as Instant Spins and a daily prize wheel, and a reward currency called LadBucks. Its iOS privacy label shows no tracking category, which is unusual among our partners. Because Coral and Ladbrokes share an operator, one person may not be able to open new accounts at both.
3. PlayOJO: lean app, long track record
PlayOJO Real Money Casino is the smallest partner app at 25.4 MB and still supports iOS 15.0, so it reaches older iPhones the Entain apps no longer do. It's a casino-only brand with OJOplus money back on every game played. One thing to note on its iOS listing: it says the app may use your location even when it isn't open, which can affect battery life.
4. Casumo: newest licence, most modern feature list
Casumo's App Store listing names Face ID and Touch ID login, a home screen widget, Quick Launch for your last four slots, Apple Pay Quick Deposit and a haptic feedback switch. Recro Limited, its licence holder, is the most recently licensed of our partners' operators. On iOS, it's one combined casino and sportsbook app.
5. 10bet: combined app, older licence
10bet: Sports Betting & Casino is a sportsbook-first app, filed under Sports on the App Store, needing iOS 16.0. Mac isn't listed. Its two store descriptions disagree on the casino's size (2,000+ slots on iOS against 3,000+ games on Google Play), which is a small sign that listings aren't always kept in step.
New casino app listings compared: requirements and licences
| App | iOS app name | Requires | Size | App type | Licence holder (since) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Coral | Coral Casino: Slots & Games | iOS 18.0 | 101.6 MB | Standalone casino | LC International Limited (1 July 2019) |
| Ladbrokes | Ladbrokes Casino Games & Slots | iOS 18.0 | 101.2 MB | Standalone casino | LC International Limited (1 July 2019) |
| PlayOJO | PlayOJO Real Money Casino | iOS 15.0 | 25.4 MB | Casino only | Skill On Net Limited (casino since 2014) |
| Casumo | Casumo Casino & Sports Betting | iOS 15.0 | 52.5 MB | Casino and sportsbook | Recro Limited (21 December 2023) |
| 10bet | 10bet: Sports Betting & Casino | iOS 16.0 | 112.3 MB | Sportsbook and casino | Blue Star Planet Limited (17 December 2015) |
Google Play doesn't show a minimum Android version on these listings, so check compatibility on your own phone. Our guide to which iOS version casino apps need explains what to do if your iPhone is too old.
UK rules every new casino app must follow
Whatever its launch date, every app licensed for Great Britain works under the same recent rules. That's one reason a new UK app can't offer anything wildly different from an old one.
| Date | Rule |
|---|---|
| 31 October 2021 | Slots: no autoplay, no turbo or slam-stop, at least 2.5 seconds a spin |
| 17 January 2025 | All casino games: no autoplay, at least 5 seconds a game for non-slots, no playing several games at once, real-time net spend and time shown |
| 28 February 2025 | Financial vulnerability checks when net deposits pass £150 in 30 days |
| 9 April 2025 | Online slot stakes capped at £5 a spin for players aged 25+ |
| 21 May 2025 | Online slot stakes capped at £2 a spin for players aged 18–24 |
| 31 October 2025 | Apps must ask new customers to set a financial limit before their first deposit |
| 19 January 2026 | Wagering on bonuses limited to 10 times the bonus; offers mixing products banned |
| 1 April 2026 | Remote gaming duty paid by operators rises from 21% to 40% |
Our UK rules hub has a page on each one, including the wagering cap and the slot stake limits.
How to check a new casino app before you sign up
- Find the app only through the App Store or Google Play. Apple's App Review Guidelines (opens in a new tab) say real-money gambling apps must be licensed where they're used, geo-restricted and free to download.
- Note the publisher or seller name on the listing, and the company named in the app's terms.
- Search for that company or brand on the Gambling Commission's public register (opens in a new tab) and check the casino licence is active.
- If the names differ, look for the brand under the licence holder's trading names or domains. Betway's apps, for example, list Digital Outsource International Limited as seller, while the licence sits with Betway Limited.
- Read the privacy label or Google Play data safety section to see what the app collects.
- Make sure the app offers deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion. All GB-licensed operators have had to take part in GAMSTOP since March 2020 (opens in a new tab).
Our guides to spotting an unlicensed casino app and fake casino apps and scams cover the warning signs in more depth.
Newer UK casino apps also worth knowing
These apps aren't ranked and we have no offers with them. Each is newer, or has changed recently, in a way worth knowing.
- BetMGM: reported UK launch in August 2023, run by LeoVegas Gaming PLC. Its combined casino and sports app needs iOS 16.4 and is 211.5 MB, the largest here.
- Midnite: a sportsbook from 2018 that added casino in 2023; the register shows casino activity from 15 May 2023 under Dribble Media Limited. Its iOS app needs iOS 16.0 and is 168 MB.
- Sky Vegas: now licensed to Bonne Terre Gaming Limited, active from 18 November 2024, after the former licensee surrendered its licence. The App Store listing still names Bonne Terre Ltd.
- Gala Bingo: its combined bingo and casino app, like Coral's, now needs iOS 18.0.
Should you choose a new casino app or an established one?
Advantages
- New brands often launch with a current app built for recent phones.
- Every UK-licensed app, new or old, follows the same 2025 and 2026 rules.
- A new licence holder can bring updated terms and tools.
Drawbacks
- Less history: fewer published facts, enforcement records or help pages to judge.
- Store listings and help pages are sometimes incomplete at launch.
- Names can be confusing when the seller, brand and licence holder differ.
For most people, the deciding factors are the same either way: a live UK licence, published payout times, the tools to set limits, and an offer whose terms you've read. Our guide to choosing a casino app walks through them, and our list of UK-licensed casino apps starts from the licence.
Red flags with new casino apps
- No match on the Gambling Commission register. Offshore apps give no UK protection, no access to UK complaint routes and no GAMSTOP cover.
- An APK download link instead of a store listing. That skips Google Play's licence checks.
- Offers that break UK rules. Anything above 10x wagering, a bonus that mixes sports and casino, or autoplay on slots means the app isn't following GB rules.
- Credit card deposits. Banned for UK gambling since 14 April 2020, so any app accepting them isn't playing by UK rules.
- Pressure to sign up today. Treat countdowns and now-or-never messages as a warning sign; a proper offer has dated terms you can read at your own pace.
If an app worries you, our guide on how to report a casino app explains where to go.

Frequently asked questions
What is the newest casino app in the UK?
There isn't a single answer, because brands, licences and app builds all change at different times. Among the brands we cover, BetMGM was reported to have launched in the UK in 2023, and Midnite added casino in 2023. Among our partners, Casumo's licence holder Recro Limited is the most recent, licensed since 21 December 2023. See our UK casino app reviews for each brand.
Are new casino apps safe?
A new casino app is as safe as its licence. If the operator holds an active Gambling Commission licence, it must follow the same rules as long-established apps, including GAMSTOP, age checks and deposit limit prompts. If it doesn't appear on the register, avoid it. Our guide on whether casino apps are safe explains the checks.
Do new casino apps have better bonuses?
Not necessarily. Since 19 January 2026, every UK-licensed app is limited to 10x wagering, and mixed-product offers are banned, so new and old apps work within the same limits. A newer brand may advertise bigger headline numbers, but terms matter more than size. Our page on casino app welcome bonuses explains how to compare them.
How can I tell if a new casino app is licensed?
Search for the brand or company on the Gambling Commission's public register and check that the casino licence is active. Compare the name with the seller on the App Store or developer on Google Play; they sometimes differ, so look at the licence holder's trading names and domains too. Our guide to how to know a casino app is licensed walks through it.
Why does a casino app need a newer iOS version?
Developers set a minimum iOS version when they build an app, often to use newer features or security updates. Coral and Ladbrokes' casino apps now need iOS 18.0, while PlayOJO and Casumo still support iOS 15.0. If your iPhone can't update, you may be able to use the mobile site instead. See casino apps on older phones.
Can I join a new casino app if I'm on GAMSTOP?
No, not a UK-licensed one. All operators licensed for Great Britain have had to take part in GAMSTOP since March 2020, so a new licensed app will block you too. An app that lets you in while you're self-excluded is very likely unlicensed and offers no UK protection. Our GAMSTOP guide explains how it works.
Are new casino apps on the App Store and Google Play?
Licensed ones usually are. Apple's guidelines require real-money gambling apps to be licensed where they're used and submitted by a legal entity, and Google Play requires a licence for each country an app is offered in. Some brands offer only a mobile site, so a missing app isn't proof of a problem. See why some casino apps aren't on Google Play.
Do new casino apps pay out faster?
Launch date doesn't decide payout speed; the operator's process and your payment method do. Coral and Ladbrokes, both established, say Visa Fast Funds payouts are typically approved within a couple of hours and reach the bank in up to about four more. Our list of fast withdrawal casino apps compares published times.
