PlayOJO app vs bet365 app

The PlayOJO app vs bet365 app question is really about what you want on your phone: a 25.4 MB app that only does casino, or one big betting app where the casino sits beside sport, poker and more. PlayOJO publishes its app and payout details clearly, while much of bet365’s UK casino detail is only reported by review sites.

Key takeaways

  • PlayOJO Real Money Casino is a casino-only app: 25.4 MB, iOS 15.0 or later, published by Skill On Net Ltd.
  • bet365’s casino is reported to sit inside its main sports app; no standalone UK casino app was confirmed.
  • PlayOJO gives 80 wagering-free spins (10p each) on Big Bass Bonanza for a £10 first deposit. 18+, terms apply.
  • bet365’s reported offer gives 50 to 500 spins through up to 10 daily reveals, with no published spin value.
  • Both operators have settled Commission action: Skill On Net £305,150 (2023), Hillside (UK Gaming) ENC £343,035 (2024).

PlayOJO app vs bet365 app: the quick answer

Pick PlayOJO if you want a casino app and nothing else. Its App Store listing, PlayOJO Real Money Casino, is a 25.4 MB download from Skill On Net Ltd that runs on iOS 15.0 or later, and the welcome offer is 80 spins with no wagering. Pick bet365 if you already bet on sport there and are happy to reach the casino through that same account.

The catch with bet365 is how much you can confirm before you install. Its UK App Store listing couldn’t be checked, so the size, iOS requirement and privacy label of the app UK players actually download aren’t confirmed. Its payment and offer details come from review sites rather than bet365’s own help pages. That doesn’t make bet365 unsafe; it just means you should check more yourself. Every other pairing is on our casino app comparisons hub.

PlayOJO vs bet365 app download: what you actually install

PlayOJO is a casino-only brand, so the PlayOJO app holds slots, jackpot slots, bingo, table games and live casino and nothing else. On Apple devices it runs on iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Apple Vision (visionOS 1.0 or later) and Macs with an M1 chip or later, though Apple marks the Mac version “Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS”. On Android, the Google Play listing is PlayOJO: Online Casino Games, rated PEGI 18.

bet365 is built the other way round. A third-party app index lists bet365 - Sports Betting, sold by Hillside (New Media) Limited, as a single app that opens casino, games, poker and Vegas products. Standalone bet365 Casino apps exist on the US and Canadian App Stores, but none was confirmed for the UK store, and no Android details were found. Our bet365 app review and bet365 iPhone app page carry the latest we have.

The small size matters if your phone is short of space; our list of casino apps with the smallest downloads explains why it varies so much. PlayOJO’s App Store listing (opens in a new tab) also says the app may use your location even when it isn’t open, which can reduce battery life. Our guide to whether casino apps track your location explains why gambling apps ask.

One app for sport and casino: what it changes on your phone

A combined app is convenient: one login, one balance and one set of account limits. The other side is that casino games are always a tap away from the betting slip, and the reverse. If you only want casino games, a standalone casino app keeps the two apart.

It also changes how phone-level limits work. Android’s Digital Wellbeing timers and iPhone’s Screen Time act on a whole app, so a timer on a combined app limits your sports betting as well. That may be exactly what you want, but know it before you rely on it.

Setting an app timer on Android

  1. Open Digital Wellbeing on your phone; on most Android phones it sits in the main Settings app.
  2. Find the casino or betting app in the list of apps.
  3. Tap Set timer next to it and choose a daily time allowance.
  4. When the time runs out, the app closes and its icon dims until the timer resets at midnight.

Google’s help page on Digital Wellbeing app timers (opens in a new tab) has the detail. Our guides to blocking casino apps with Digital Wellbeing and blocking casino apps with Screen Time cover both platforms.

Marketing works per product too. Since 1 May 2025, operators must let you choose which products (betting, casino, bingo) and which channels (phone call, email, SMS) they market to you. With an account that spans sport and casino, it’s worth setting both at sign-up. Our page on gambling marketing consent rules explains your options.

PlayOJO vs bet365 bonus: 80 fixed spins or up to 500 by reveals

PlayOJO’s offer is simple. New UK customers aged 18+ (Northern Ireland excluded) who make a first deposit of at least £10 through the designated offer link get 80 free spins on Big Bass Bonanza at 10p each. There’s no wagering, so winnings are paid in cash, and it can’t be combined with other offers. Terms apply.

At the time of checking (25 October 2026), review sites described bet365’s casino offer as “Spend £10, get up to 500 free spins”. The reported terms are £10 in lifetime deposits within 30 days of registering, then up to 10 reveals within 20 days, at least 24 hours apart, each giving 5, 10, 20 or 50 spins. Spin winnings carry no wagering and spins expire after 7 days. This wasn’t confirmed on bet365’s own site, and no spin value was given.

What each spins offer can give (18+, terms apply)
MeasurePlayOJObet365 (reported)
Qualifying spend£10 first deposit£10 lifetime deposits within 30 days
Number of spins80, all at onceBetween 50 and 500, over as many as 10 reveals
Spin value10p (£8 in total)Not stated
WageringNone, winnings paid as cashNone on spin winnings
GameBig Bass BonanzaNot stated in the report
How often you returnOnceUp to 10 separate days within 20 days

Here is the arithmetic. Ten reveals of 5 spins give 50 (10 × 5) and ten reveals of 50 give 500 (10 × 50), so “up to 500” is the ceiling, and you only reach either figure by coming back on ten different days. Without a spin value, the bet365 offer can’t be priced in pounds.

PlayOJO’s spins have a face value of £8 (80 × 10p). Big Bass Bonanza’s published RTP is 96.71%, so the long-run average return is about £7.74 (£8 × 0.9671), though any one batch of spins can land well above or below that. The game’s help screen shows the RTP of the version in the app.

A daily-reveal structure is worth weighing honestly: an offer that asks you to open the app day after day keeps gambling in your routine. If that bothers you, PlayOJO’s one-off spins are the simpler deal. Our guides to free spins in casino apps and what no wagering means go further.

How to claim the PlayOJO welcome spins in the app

  1. Install PlayOJO Real Money Casino from the App Store or PlayOJO: Online Casino Games from Google Play, and check the publisher is Skill On Net Ltd.
  2. Use the designated offer link before you register, because the 80-spin offer is only available that way.
  3. Register with your real details. Age and identity must be checked before you can deposit or play, even in demo games.
  4. When the app prompts you for a financial limit before your first deposit, set one that fits your budget.
  5. Make a first deposit of £10 or more.
  6. Find the spins in the Rewards section, which shows the game, spin value and deadline, and play them on Big Bass Bonanza.

Full terms are on our PlayOJO welcome bonus page, and the PlayOJO sign-up guide covers registration and checks.

Games: a casino specialist against a betting giant’s casino

The PlayOJO store listing mentions slots, jackpot slots, bingo, table games and live casino. Its signature extra is OJOplus, which pays money back on every game played; no single rate is published on the pages checked, so see how the app shows it. PlayOJO doesn’t publish a game count either, so check the app’s game lobby for particular titles. Our PlayOJO games guide and what OJOplus is explain more.

bet365’s lobby is reported as very large. One affiliate page puts it at over 3,100 games, with about 2,700 slots, 170 to 200 live tables, 100+ table and card games and 70+ crash and arcade titles. Those are third-party figures with an inconsistent live-table count, and bet365’s own wording wasn’t found.

A bigger lobby isn’t automatically better on a phone. What matters is whether the games you play are there and what they pay back, which you’ll find in each game’s help screen. Apps don’t use lower RTP by default; see is RTP lower on casino apps. Welcome spins on both sides are slot offers, and table and live games are often excluded or count for less, so check the terms.

PlayOJO vs bet365 withdrawal times, payments and fees

PlayOJO’s help page says it processes most payments within a few hours, sends withdrawals back to the deposit method where possible, and lets you withdraw as little as you want. Some deposit methods can take up to 3 working days to be credited. It names debit cards, Payz, Apple Pay and Trustly; fees and per-method limits aren’t published, so check the cashier.

For bet365, affiliate pages list Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, PayPal, Apple Pay, Paysafecard, Trustly, Pay by Bank App and bank transfer for deposits. They report card and Trustly withdrawals in 1 to 4 hours, Apple Pay as instant and PayPal and bank transfer within 24 hours, with no fees. The two pages disagree on Google Pay, and bet365’s own help pages weren’t reached.

Credit cards can’t be used to gamble in Great Britain, including through e-wallets funded by one; see the credit card ban. For step-by-step detail, read PlayOJO app withdrawals, bet365 app withdrawals and how long casino app withdrawals take.

Support, verification and safer gambling tools in each app

PlayOJO’s help page (opens in a new tab) lists live chat after you log in (it says availability depends on your country) and email at support@playojo.com; no phone number is given. For verification it accepts a passport, driving licence, ID card or utility bill through its upload tool, aims to verify within 12 hours, and asks you to contact support if you’ve heard nothing after 48 hours. Documents may be requested after your first withdrawal request.

The PlayOJO listing names Safe Mate, Take A Break and Deposit Limits, and the help page adds time and loss limits, OJO Safeguard and self-exclusion. Lowering a deposit limit is immediate, while raising one takes 24 hours. Our PlayOJO safer gambling tools page walks through them.

bet365’s support channels and tool list weren’t confirmed from its own pages. As a Commission licensee it must take part in GAMSTOP and let you set reality checks, so look for those in your account settings. Our overview of safer gambling tools in casino apps shows what every UK app should offer.

Is bet365 safe? Licences and Commission action on both sides

Both are licensed by the Gambling Commission. PlayOJO is run by Skill On Net Limited, account 39326, licensed for casino since 2014 and bingo since February 2020, with its registered head office in Limassol, Cyprus, and a Malta Gaming Authority licence too. PlayOJO itself launched in February 2017. You can view Skill On Net’s register entry (opens in a new tab).

bet365’s UK casino is licensed to Hillside (UK Gaming) ENC, account 55149, which holds a remote bingo and casino operating licence with bet365.com listed as active. Hillside (Technology) Limited, account 38721, lists bet365 as a trading name too. The business was set up in 2000 and is privately owned; a 2015 report said the Coates family held the majority, though that split may have changed.

Neither record means an app is unsafe today, but both are useful context. Our guide to how casino apps are licensed in the UK explains what a licence covers.

PlayOJO or bet365: which app suits which player

  • You only play casino games: PlayOJO keeps the app small and free of sports promotions.
  • You already bet on sport with bet365: one account may be handier, but set marketing choices and limits that cover both products.
  • You use an older iPhone: PlayOJO confirms iOS 15.0; check bet365’s current listing yourself.
  • You want offer terms you can read in full: PlayOJO’s spins are fixed in number and wagering-free, while bet365’s are reported, variable and spread across days.
  • You want a very large lobby with crash games: bet365’s reported range is wider, but those figures are third-party.

Advantages

  • PlayOJO: casino-only app with published size, iOS version and privacy label
  • PlayOJO: wagering-free spins with a known £8 face value
  • bet365: one account for sport and casino, with a large reported lobby

Drawbacks

  • PlayOJO: no phone support listed, and the offer excludes Northern Ireland
  • bet365: UK app listing, support and safer-gambling details not confirmed
  • bet365: spin value unpublished and reveals need ten separate visits

Whichever you choose, treat it as paid entertainment: the house edge means losing over time is the likely result. Our best casino apps UK rankings and guide on how to choose a casino app help if neither fits.

Frequently asked questions

Is the PlayOJO app better than the bet365 app?

It depends on whether you want sport in the same app. PlayOJO is a casino-only download with published store details, a 25.4 MB size and wagering-free welcome spins, which suits casino players. bet365 reportedly runs its casino inside its main sports app, which suits people who already bet there. On published facts alone, PlayOJO is easier to check before you install. Compare more pairings on our comparisons hub or read the PlayOJO app review.

Can I download a separate bet365 casino app on my iPhone?

A standalone UK bet365 casino app wasn’t confirmed. A third-party index lists bet365 - Sports Betting as one app that opens casino, games, poker and Vegas products, while separate bet365 Casino apps were found only on the US and Canadian App Stores. Check the UK App Store yourself and confirm the seller before installing. Our bet365 iPhone app page and guide to downloading a casino app on iPhone help.

Is bet365’s 500 spins offer worth more than PlayOJO’s 80 spins?

It can’t be compared in pounds, because no spin value was published for bet365’s reported offer. Its reveals give 5, 10, 20 or 50 spins each, so ten reveals land between 50 and 500 spins, and you need ten separate visits to get them all. PlayOJO’s 80 spins are worth £8 at 10p each, with no wagering. 18+, terms apply. See our no wagering casino apps list for more context.

Which pays out faster, PlayOJO or bet365?

Both report fast payouts, but from different kinds of source. PlayOJO’s own help page says it processes most payments within a few hours. For bet365, affiliate pages report card and Trustly withdrawals in 1 to 4 hours and PayPal or bank transfer within 24 hours. Verification checks can add time on either app. Read PlayOJO app withdrawals and our list of fast withdrawal casino apps.

Can I block just the casino part of the bet365 app?

Not with phone tools alone. Screen Time and Digital Wellbeing limit a whole app, so a timer on a combined sports and casino app affects your betting too. Inside your account you can use the operator’s own limits and choose which products it markets to you. For a complete break, GAMSTOP blocks all GB-licensed online gambling. See blocking gambling apps on Android and GAMSTOP self-exclusion.

Can I use PlayOJO’s welcome spins on live casino?

No. The 80 spins are tied to Big Bass Bonanza, a slot, at 10p each. Live casino, blackjack and roulette aren’t part of the offer. Any cash you win from the spins has no wagering, so you can withdraw it or play other games with it as normal. 18+, new UK customers excluding Northern Ireland, terms apply. Our PlayOJO live casino page covers the live games, and PlayOJO welcome bonus covers the terms.

Have PlayOJO or bet365 been fined by the Gambling Commission?

Both operators have settled regulatory action. Skill On Net Limited, which runs PlayOJO, agreed a £305,150 settlement in May 2023 over social responsibility and anti-money-laundering failures. Hillside (UK Gaming) ENC, bet365’s casino licensee, paid £343,035 in lieu of a penalty in April 2024 over anti-money-laundering and customer interaction failures. Both still hold UK licences. Read is the PlayOJO app safe and are casino apps safe.

Can I use the PlayOJO offer in Northern Ireland?

No. PlayOJO’s welcome offer is for new UK customers excluding Northern Ireland. The Gambling Act 2005 and the Commission’s rules cover Great Britain only, and Northern Ireland has its own, older law, so operators often treat it differently. Check each app’s terms before you sign up. Our page on Northern Ireland gambling law and the question can I play casino apps in Northern Ireland explain more.
