What does no wagering mean on a casino app?
What does no wagering mean on a casino app? It means any winnings from the bonus, usually free spins, go straight into your cash balance and can be withdrawn without first betting them a set number of times. It doesn’t mean there are no conditions: you still need a qualifying deposit or stake, eligible games, a payment method that counts and a deadline to meet.
Key takeaways
- No wagering means bonus winnings are paid as withdrawable cash, with no playthrough requirement.
- It doesn’t remove the qualifying deposit, slot stake, payment exclusions, game list or expiry.
- Coral, Ladbrokes and PlayOJO all run no-wagering spin offers for new customers aged 18+.
- A wagered bonus can now ask for no more than 10x the bonus, but no wagering is still simpler to value.
- Your own qualifying stake is real money and carries the normal house edge.

What no wagering means on a casino app
A wagering requirement is a rule that you must place bets totalling a set amount before bonus money, or winnings from it, can be withdrawn. “No wagering” removes that rule. Whatever the bonus spins win lands in your real-money balance, and you can withdraw it like any other cash once your account is verified.
On a phone, you’ll typically see this on spin offers. You complete the qualifying step, the spins appear in the app, you play them on the selected slot, and the result is added as cash rather than as a separate bonus balance that needs clearing. Our glossary entries for no wagering and wagering requirement give short definitions, and the casino app questions hub has related answers.
A no-wagering example in pounds
Say you claim 80 spins at 10p each and they return £6.40 in total. With no wagering, that £6.40 is cash. You can withdraw it, keep playing, or leave it in the account. With a wagered bonus, the same £6.40 might sit in a bonus balance until you’d bet a multiple of it.
| No-wagering spins | Spins with 10x wagering on winnings | |
|---|---|---|
| Spin winnings | £6.40 | £6.40 |
| Bets needed before withdrawal | £0 | £64 (10 × £6.40) |
| Expected cost of that betting at 96.71% RTP | £0 | About £2.11 (3.29% of £64) |
| Where the money sits | Cash balance | Bonus balance until wagering is met |
| Deadline risk | Only the spin expiry | Spin expiry plus a wagering window |
The £6.40 figure is only an illustration; real results vary widely, and many sets of spins return less than their face value. The point is that no wagering removes a whole second stage where the house edge keeps working on your winnings. Since 19 January 2026, the wagered column could never be worse than 10x in Great Britain, as our wagering cap explainer shows.
What no wagering doesn’t mean
No wagering is about what happens after the spins. It says nothing about what you must do first, or how the spins must be used. Most of the small print still applies.
- A qualifying step. Coral and Ladbrokes ask you to deposit and stake £10 on slots; PlayOJO asks for a first deposit of £10 or more.
- Payment exclusions. Coral and Ladbrokes exclude e-wallets such as PayPal, Skrill and Neteller, plus prepaid cards; Coral also excludes certain debit cards.
- Fixed spin value. Each spin is worth 10p on all three offers; you can’t raise the stake.
- Selected games. Spins only work on the named slot or a list of selected games.
- Deadlines. Coral gives 48 hours to accept and 7 days to use; Ladbrokes needs each day’s spins claimed before 23:59; PlayOJO’s help page says spins expire after 24 hours.
- Verification. You must pass age and identity checks before you can deposit or play, and before cash goes back to you.
No wagering also doesn’t mean no deposit. None of our partners offers a no-deposit bonus. The Advertising Standards Authority’s guidance on free bets and bonuses (opens in a new tab) is the reason ads have to put the qualifying condition right next to the word “free”.
No-wagering offers on casino apps compared
Three of our partners currently run no-wagering welcome spins. Here’s how their conditions line up, as last checked on 5 October 2026.
| Detail | Coral | Ladbrokes | PlayOJO |
|---|---|---|---|
| Spins | 100 | Up to 500 (50 a day for 10 days) | 80 |
| Spin value | 10p | 10p | 10p |
| Face value of spins | £10 | Up to £50 | £8 |
| Qualifying step | Deposit and bet £10+ on slots | Deposit and spend £10+ on slots | First deposit £10+ |
| Games | Selected games | Selected games | Big Bass Bonanza |
| Time limits | Accept in 48 hours; 7 days to use | Claim by 23:59 daily; 7 days to use | Help page: spins expire after 24 hours |
| Where it’s excluded | Several e-wallets, prepaid and certain debit cards | Prepaid, PayPal, Paysafe, Neteller, Skrill, Moneybookers | Northern Ireland; can’t combine offers |
Ladbrokes’ headline is the largest, but its full value depends on opening the app and claiming spins on ten separate days. If daily check-ins feel like pressure, that’s worth weighing. Our no wagering casino apps list ranks these offers in more depth.
No wagering vs a wagered deposit match
Our other two partners, Casumo and 10bet, use deposit matches with wagering instead. Both sit within the 10x cap, but the maths works differently from spins.
Take Casumo’s minimum £20 deposit, which earns a 50% bonus of £10. That £10 must be wagered 10 times, so you’d need £100 of bets within 7 days at no more than £5 a bet. With 10bet’s 100% match, a £10 deposit would add £10 of bonus, needing £100 of slot bets within 3 days. At a 3.29% house edge, each £100 of wagering costs about £3.29 on average.
Neither approach is wrong, but no wagering is easier to understand and value. Our Casumo app review and 10bet app review explain the deposit-match offers fully, and how wagering works in casino apps covers playthrough in detail.
Your own money and the no-wagering bonus
With Coral and Ladbrokes, you stake £10 of your own money on slots before any spins arrive. That stake is gambled at the game’s normal house edge, and it can be lost. The spins are a reward for that play, not a refund of it.
Gambling Commission guidance says deposit and bonus balances must be shown separately and that you must be able to withdraw your deposit balance at any time, even while a bonus is active. The Commission’s page on restrictions on withdrawing deposits (opens in a new tab) sets this out. With a no-wagering offer there’s usually no separate bonus pot to worry about once the spins are played.
How to check a no-wagering offer in a casino app
- Open the offer’s terms in the app and find the words “no wagering” or “paid in cash” in the significant terms, not just the banner.
- Note the qualifying step: deposit only, or deposit plus a slot stake.
- Check the payment method you plan to use isn’t excluded.
- Write down the deadlines to accept, claim and use the spins.
- Play the spins on the named games at the fixed value.
- Check that any winnings appear in your cash balance rather than a bonus balance.
- Withdraw if you want to; the app may ask for verification documents if it hasn’t already confirmed your identity.
Our guides on free spins in casino apps and whether free spins expire explain spin offers further, and how to withdraw from a casino app covers cashing out.
No-wagering casino apps with a welcome offer
These three apps match the question directly: each pays spin winnings without wagering. They still have conditions, so check the key terms below. 18+, terms apply.
- Coral: new players, 18+, from 1 October 2026 until 1 February 2027. Deposit (certain types excluded) and bet £10 or more on slots for 100 free spins at 10p each on selected games. - Ladbrokes: new customers, 18+. Deposit and spend £10 or more on slots for 50 free spins every day for 10 days, 500 at most, at 10p each on selected games. Claim each batch before 23:59; each lasts 7 days; no wagering. Deposits by prepaid card, PayPal, Paysafe, Neteller, Skrill or Moneybookers don’t count.
- PlayOJO: new UK customers, 18+, outside Northern Ireland. First deposit of £10 or more for 80 free spins on Big Bass Bonanza at 10p each. No wagering, so winnings are paid in cash. Claim through the designated offer link only; can’t be combined with other offers.

Frequently asked questions
Does no wagering mean I can withdraw my winnings straight away?
Yes, in terms of wagering: winnings from no-wagering spins go into your cash balance, so there’s no playthrough to complete first. You still need a verified account, and normal withdrawal processing times apply. Coral and Ladbrokes, for example, review withdrawals internally before the payment method’s own timing kicks in. See how long casino app withdrawals take for published times by app.
Is no wagering the same as a no-deposit bonus?
No. No wagering describes what happens to winnings; no deposit describes how you qualify. All three no-wagering offers from our partners need a deposit, and Coral and Ladbrokes also need a £10 slot stake. None of our partners offers a no-deposit bonus. Our £10 deposit casino apps list shows where a £10 first deposit qualifies.
Can no-wagering spins be used on any game?
No. No-wagering spins are tied to named slots or a list of selected games, and the spin value is fixed, at 10p on all three partner offers. PlayOJO’s spins are on Big Bass Bonanza, while Coral and Ladbrokes use selected games shown in the offer. They can’t be used on blackjack, roulette or live casino. Our Big Bass Bonanza review covers the game behind PlayOJO’s spins.
Are no-wagering bonuses better than wagered ones?
They’re simpler and easier to value, because there’s no second stage of betting before winnings become cash. A wagered deposit match may have a bigger headline, but since 19 January 2026 the wagering is capped at 10x and you should factor in the house edge on that extra betting. Which suits you depends on how you play. Our wagering cap rule page explains the limit.
Do no-wagering spins expire?
Yes. Each offer sets its own deadlines. Coral’s spins must be accepted within 48 hours and used within 7 days. Ladbrokes’ daily spins must be claimed before 23:59 and are valid for 7 days. PlayOJO’s help page says free spins expire after 24 hours, with the deadline shown in its Rewards section. Unused spins are lost. Our page on whether free spins expire covers this in detail.
Why is my PayPal deposit not giving me no-wagering spins?
Because PayPal is excluded from both the Coral and Ladbrokes offers, along with Skrill, Neteller, Paysafe and prepaid cards. A deposit with an excluded method can still go through, but it won’t qualify for the spins. Use an eligible debit card or another method the terms allow. Our payment method exclusions page lists what each partner leaves out, and PayPal casino apps covers PayPal use generally.
Is there a maximum win on no-wagering spins?
Some offers cap winnings and some don’t, so check the significant terms of the specific offer. The figures we’ve verified for the Coral, Ladbrokes and PlayOJO spins don’t include a maximum win cap, but terms can change, so read the current version in the app before you claim. Our guide to reading casino app bonus terms shows where caps usually appear.
Does PlayOJO have wagering on its welcome spins?
No. PlayOJO’s welcome offer gives new UK customers aged 18+, outside Northern Ireland, 80 spins on Big Bass Bonanza at 10p each for a first deposit of £10 or more, with no wagering and winnings paid in cash. It can’t be combined with other offers and is only available through the designated link. Terms apply. Read our PlayOJO welcome bonus page for the details.
