The PlayOJO live casino app streams real dealers and game shows to your phone inside the main PlayOJO app, which lists live casino among its games. Here’s how live tables and shows work on a small screen, what they cost in pounds, which UK rules apply and why the welcome spins can’t be used on them.
Key takeaways
- Live casino is part of the main PlayOJO app on iPhone and Android; there’s no separate live app.
- PlayOJO doesn’t publish its live table or game show line-up, so check the live lobby for current titles.
- Game shows often return less than classic tables: Evolution puts Crazy Time at 94.41% to 96.08% depending on the bet.
- Autoplay is banned on live games too, but a re-bet button is allowed because it isn’t autoplay.
- The welcome spins are slot-only, so they can’t be used at live tables.

PlayOJO live casino app: what you get
There’s no standalone PlayOJO live casino app. Live games sit inside PlayOJO Real Money Casino on iPhone and PlayOJO: Online Casino Games on Android, both published by Skill On Net Ltd. The App Store listing names live casino alongside slots, jackpot slots, bingo and table games.
Live dealer games are streamed in real time from studios built to look like a casino floor. A real person deals the cards or spins the wheel, cameras capture the result, and software turns it into data your app can settle bets on. Evolution, one of the biggest live studios, says its tables often run 24 hours a day and that players connect by phone or computer to bet, make decisions and chat. Its live casino overview (opens in a new tab) shows the range.
Neither the listing nor the help pages say which studios run its live tables or which shows it carries. The rest of this page explains the formats you may find and how to judge them. For the full app picture, start with the PlayOJO app review.
Live dealer tables vs game shows in the PlayOJO app
The live lobby in most UK apps has two halves: classic tables that mirror a real casino, and game shows built for streaming. They feel very different on a phone.
| Live dealer tables | Live game shows | |
|---|---|---|
| Examples | Roulette, blackjack, baccarat | Money wheels and bonus-round shows |
| Who runs it | A dealer at a table | A host with a wheel or set |
| Decisions | Blackjack has choices; roulette and baccarat are bet and watch | Mostly bet and watch |
| Typical return | Usually higher (see the maths section) | Often lower, varying by bet |
| Pace | Timed betting windows, then the deal or spin | Timed betting windows, longer bonus rounds |
| Seats | Classic blackjack seats can be limited (Infinite Blackjack has unlimited seats) | Many players bet on the same round |
If you’re new to live play, our hub of live casino apps and game shows explains the formats, and are live dealers real people answers the most common question.
How to join a live table in the PlayOJO app
The live lobby isn’t documented screen by screen, so these steps describe what to look for rather than exact button names.
- Connect to a stable Wi-Fi or strong 4G or 5G signal before you open a live game.
- Log in to the PlayOJO app and go to the live casino section of the lobby.
- Pick a table or show and check the minimum and maximum bets shown on it.
- Open the game’s help screen to read the rules and RTP before betting.
- Wait for the betting window, tap a chip value, then tap where you want to bet.
- Watch the round. Your balance updates when the result is settled.
- Use the re-bet button if you want the same bet again, or close the game when you’re done.
Live game shows you may find in the PlayOJO live casino
These are among the best-known live shows in UK apps. We can’t confirm which ones PlayOJO carries, so treat this as a guide to the formats and check the lobby. All figures come from the studios or from analysis that quotes their published figures.
| Show (studio) | How it works | RTP range | Top payout stated |
|---|---|---|---|
| Crazy Time (Evolution) | 54-segment wheel with numbers and four bonus games; a Top Slot can add up to 50x | 94.41% to 96.08% | Crazy Time bonus up to 20,000x |
| MONOPOLY Live (Evolution) | 54-segment wheel; 2 ROLLS and 4 ROLLS send Mr Monopoly round a 3D board | 91.30% to 96.23% | Not stated by Evolution |
| Dream Catcher (Evolution) | 54-segment wheel with 2x and 7x multiplier segments that stack | 90.81% to 96.58% | Up to 20,000x |
| Mega Wheel (Pragmatic Play) | 54 segments with a random Mega Multiplier on one number each round | Not published | Up to 500x the bet |
Crazy Time’s figures are on Evolution’s Crazy Time rules page (opens in a new tab). The MONOPOLY Live and Dream Catcher returns come from Wizard of Odds’ money wheel analysis (opens in a new tab), which quotes Evolution’s disclosed figures or works them out.
The spread matters. On Dream Catcher, the bet on 40 returns 90.81% while the bet on 10 returns 96.58%, so your choice of segment changes the cost more than your choice of show. In Crazy Time, only players who bet on a bonus segment can win in that bonus round. Our guides to Crazy Time, MONOPOLY Live and Dream Catcher go through each bet.
Live dealer roulette, blackjack and baccarat: the cost in pounds
Classic live tables use the same maths as their digital versions. A live dealer doesn’t change the edge; the rules printed on the table do. Here’s what £100 of total bets costs on average, using standard game maths.
| Table and bet | House edge | Average cost per £100 wagered |
|---|---|---|
| Live single-zero roulette | 2.70% | £2.70 |
| Live double-zero roulette | 5.26% | £5.26 |
| Live baccarat, Banker | 1.06% | £1.06 |
| Live baccarat, Player | 1.24% | £1.24 |
| Live baccarat, Tie at 8 to 1 (eight decks) | 14.36% | £14.36 |
| Live blackjack, six decks, European rules, basic strategy | 0.62% | 62p |
The roulette and baccarat figures come from Wizard of Odds’ roulette basics (opens in a new tab) and its baccarat analysis. Basic strategy reduces the blackjack edge but doesn’t remove it. Live tables generally use shuffling methods that defeat card counting, and no staking system changes the house edge.
Side bets often carry a higher edge than the main bet, so read the table’s help screen before adding one. Our guides to live roulette on mobile, live blackjack on mobile and live baccarat on mobile cover the rules.
UK rules on live casino in the PlayOJO app
Live games follow the same British rules as other online casino games, and some of those rules were written with live play in mind.
- No autoplay. Since 17 January 2025 autoplay has been banned for all online casino games. The Commission said it saw no convincing reason to exclude live casino.
- Re-bet is allowed. The Commission noted that repeating your last bet isn’t autoplay, and it can help with short betting windows.
- At least 5 seconds per round for casino games other than slots, and you can’t speed up a result.
- One game at a time. You can’t play two live tables at once in a UK app.
- No false wins. A return equal to or less than your stake can’t be celebrated as a win.
The reasoning is in the Commission’s decision on the autoplay ban (opens in a new tab). Our page on UK game speed rules explains the 5-second minimum.
Data, battery and signal for PlayOJO live casino
Live casino is a video stream, so it uses far more data and battery than a slot. No data figures are published for its live games, and usage depends on video quality and how long you play.
- Use Wi-Fi where possible, especially for long sessions.
- If the stream stutters, look in the game’s settings for a lower video quality option.
- Keep your phone charged; the iPhone listing also notes the app may use location in the background, which affects battery.
- If you lose connection mid-round, bets already accepted are settled by the studio. Reopen the game or check your history to see the outcome.
Our guides to live casino data usage and playing live casino on mobile data go into more detail.
First Person games vs real live dealers
You may see animated versions of live games in some lobbies. Evolution’s First Person range uses 3D animation, and the cards, wheel spins and dice are decided by a random number generator rather than a dealer. Titles include versions of Lightning Roulette, Dream Catcher and Mega Ball.
These can be a lower-pressure way to learn a game’s layout because there’s no countdown tied to a studio. Evolution says a Go Live button moves players to the live version. Read First Person games on mobile for the differences.
Chatting with dealers in the PlayOJO live casino
Most live tables have a text chat. You type a message and the dealer can reply out loud on the stream. Keep it friendly; dealers can’t help you win or tell you what to bet.
If you have a problem with a bet or a payout, use PlayOJO’s own support rather than the table chat. Live chat is available once you’re logged in, and email is support@playojo.com. Our PlayOJO customer support page covers both routes, and can I chat with dealers on mobile explains table etiquette.
Can PlayOJO bonuses be used on live casino?
Not the welcome offer. PlayOJO’s welcome spins are for Big Bass Bonanza, a slot, so they can’t be used at live tables. Other promotions may exclude live games or count them for less, so check the terms of any offer before you play live.
OJOplus, PlayOJO’s money back feature, is described in the store listing as applying to every bet. Check the in-app terms for the rate on live games, which may differ. For the general position across apps, read can I use a bonus on live casino. Our PlayOJO app games and PlayOJO slots pages cover the rest of the lobby.
PlayOJO and Coral offers for live casino players
Both offers below are slot spins, so they don’t apply to live tables or game shows. If live casino is your main interest, judge the app on its live lobby rather than the welcome offer. Both are 18+ only and terms apply.
PlayOJO: the welcome deal is 80 spins on the Big Bass Bonanza slot, 10p each, for new UK customers (not Northern Ireland) making a first deposit of £10 or more. No wagering applies, so winnings are cash. You can only get it through the designated offer link, and it can’t be combined with other offers. See the PlayOJO welcome bonus page.
Coral: Coral’s new-player offer is also slot-only: deposit (some payment types excluded), stake £10 or more on slots and get 100 free spins on selected games at 10p each, to be accepted in 48 hours and used in 7 days, with no wagering on winnings. Neteller, PayPal, Paysafe, Skrill, prepaid cards and certain debit cards are excluded, and it runs from 1 October 2026 to 1 February 2027. Compare live lobbies on the Coral live casino app page or in our best live casino apps ranking.

Neither welcome offer can be used on live casino: both are slot spins. 18+, terms apply.

Frequently asked questions
Does the PlayOJO app have live casino?
Yes. The App Store listing for PlayOJO Real Money Casino names live casino among the app’s games, along with slots, jackpot slots, bingo and table games. PlayOJO doesn’t publish which live tables or game shows it carries, or which studios run them, so check the live section of the lobby for the current line-up. Our PlayOJO app review covers the rest of the app.
Does PlayOJO have Crazy Time?
The show line-up isn’t published, so we can’t confirm whether Crazy Time is in the app. Search the live lobby to check. If it’s there, Evolution states a theoretical RTP of 94.41% to 96.08% depending on the bet, and only bonus-segment bets can win in a bonus round. Our Crazy Time app guide and which casino apps have Crazy Time explain more.
Can I use the PlayOJO welcome spins on live casino?
No. The welcome offer is 80 free spins on Big Bass Bonanza, a slot, so it can’t be used on live dealer tables or game shows. Other promotions may exclude live casino or count it for less, so always check the terms. It’s 18+ and terms apply. See can I use a bonus on live casino in the app for how this works across UK apps.
How much data does PlayOJO live casino use?
PlayOJO doesn’t publish data figures for its live games. Live casino is a continuous video stream, so it uses much more data than slots, and the total depends on video quality and session length. Use Wi-Fi for longer sessions and pick a lower video quality if the game offers one. Our guide to how much data live casino uses explains how to estimate it.
Are PlayOJO live dealers real?
Live dealer games are streamed in real time from studios, with real people dealing cards and spinning wheels. Cameras capture each result, and software turns it into data that settles bets. First Person games are different: they’re animated and use a random number generator. Check the game title and help screen to see which you’re playing. Read is live casino on mobile real for more.
What happens if my connection drops during a PlayOJO live game?
Bets accepted before the drop are generally settled by the studio when the round ends, whether or not you’re still watching. Reconnect, reopen the game and check your balance or game history for the outcome. If something looks wrong, contact PlayOJO support by live chat or email. Our guide to how casino apps handle disconnections covers what operators usually do.
Is autoplay allowed on PlayOJO live casino?
No. Since 17 January 2025, autoplay has been banned on all online casino games in Great Britain, and the Gambling Commission specifically included live casino. A re-bet button that repeats your last bet is allowed, because you still confirm each round. Non-slot casino games must also allow at least 5 seconds per round. Our autoplay ban page explains the rule.
Which live casino bets cost the least?
Under standard game maths, blackjack played with basic strategy and the baccarat Banker bet have some of the lowest house edges, around 0.62% and 1.06%. Single-zero roulette is 2.70%. Game show bets often cost more, and the baccarat Tie bet at 8 to 1 has a 14.36% edge. Every bet still loses money on average over time. Our house edge by game table compares more games.
