Coral Casino app vs Sky Vegas app

The Coral Casino app vs Sky Vegas app decision is closer than most: both are standalone UK casino apps from big betting groups, Entain and Flutter. Coral has the smaller download and a no-fee payout policy set out by the operator; Sky Vegas runs on older iPhones and is known for Jackpot King slots. This guide sets the two side by side.

Key takeaways

  • Sky Vegas needs iOS 15.0 and is 155.7 MB; Coral needs iOS 18.0 and is 101.6 MB.
  • Coral: bet £10 on slots, get 100 spins at 10p with no wagering on winnings. 18+, terms apply.
  • Sky Vegas’s licence moved to Bonne Terre Gaming Limited (65519) after the previous licensee surrendered in October 2025.
  • Sky Betting and Gaming was fined £1.17m in 2022 after a Sky Vegas promotion was emailed to self-excluded customers.

Coral Casino app vs Sky Vegas app in brief

Both brands do something many UK operators don’t: they keep the casino in its own app, apart from sports betting. The Coral Casino app sits alongside a separate Coral sportsbook app, and the Sky Vegas app sits alongside Sky Bet.

Where they part ways is in device support, offer structure and how much detail is published. Coral’s payment rules come from its own help centre. Many Sky Vegas payment and support details come from review sites, because its own help pages weren’t available to check, so treat those as a guide. You’ll find every other pairing on our casino app comparisons page.

Which phones and tablets each app runs on

Sky Vegas has the wider reach on Apple devices. Its App Store listing, Sky Vegas: Casino Games, needs only iOS 15.0 or later, so iPhones that stopped receiving updates some years ago can still run it. It supports iPad, but no Mac version is listed.

Coral asks for more. The Coral Casino: Slots & Games App Store listing (opens in a new tab) requires iOS 18.0 or later, and in exchange it also runs on iPad, Macs with an Apple M1 chip or later (macOS 15.0+) and Apple Vision.

Not sure what your iPhone runs? Open Settings, then General, then About to see the iOS version. Our guides to which iOS version casino apps need and casino apps on iPad explain what to do if an app won’t install.

Download size, storage and privacy labels

Sky Vegas is the heavier install at 155.7 MB, around 54 MB more than Coral’s 101.6 MB (155.7 − 101.6 = 54.1). On a phone that’s short of space, that gap can matter, and both apps may grow further once games are cached.

Coral’s iOS privacy label lists User Content and Usage Data as used to track you. Data linked to you includes coarse location, contact and financial info, search history and identifiers. The Google Play listing’s data safety wording doesn’t match the iOS label, so read both. Sky Vegas’s privacy label details weren’t available to compare, so check the listing before you install.

Our guides to casino app storage space and reading a privacy label explain how to free up room and what each data category means.

Coral vs Sky Vegas free spins offers

Coral’s welcome offer runs from 1 October 2026 to 1 February 2027. New players aged 18+ make a deposit (certain types excluded) and bet £10 or more on slots, then get 100 free spins on selected games at 10p each. Spins must be accepted within 48 hours and used within 7 days, and there’s no wagering on what they win. Neteller, PayPal, Paysafe, Skrill, prepaid cards and certain debit cards don’t qualify. Terms apply.

At the time of checking (25 October 2026), review sites reported Sky Vegas’s offer as “Get up to 250 free spins”. The reported terms are 50 spins on registration with no deposit, plus 200 more after you deposit and stake £10 within 30 days. Debit card deposits only, spins expire 7 days after they’re credited, and there’s no wagering on spin winnings. We couldn’t confirm this on Sky Vegas’s own site.

Coral’s spins have a known face value of £10. On a slot paying 96% RTP, that averages about £9.60 back, with large swings either way. Sky Vegas offers more spins, but without a published spin value they can’t be compared in pounds. Both are slot-only offers, so table and live games won’t count. See the Coral welcome bonus guide and our free spins casino apps list.

Slots, Jackpot King and live games

Coral’s store listing highlights Megaways slots, classic fruit machines, blackjack, roulette and Live Casino, along with free-to-play games that carry real-money prizes and promotions such as Smart Rewards and Coral Coins. A review site gives 5,000+ games.

The Sky Vegas lobby is best known for jackpots, mostly from the Jackpot King network, and for Sky Vegas-branded slots. Review sites list live casino, table games and game shows too, but game counts vary between 900+ and about 1,200 depending on the source.

If jackpot slots are your main interest, read about how Jackpot King works and see our list of apps with Jackpot King slots. Whatever you play, search the app’s lobby for specific titles and check the game’s help screen for its RTP.

Deposits, withdrawals and fees in each app

Coral publishes a lot of detail. Its help centre lists Visa, Mastercard and Maestro debit cards, PayPal, Pay by Bank, Apple Pay, Google Pay and paysafecard, with a £5 minimum for Google Pay and Pay by Bank and a £2,000 cap per deposit. You can have three active payment methods in any rolling 30 days.

Coral’s withdrawal timeframes page (opens in a new tab) says requests are approved internally first, then take from instantly to five banking days depending on the method. Fast Bank Transfer takes 2 to 4 business days once approved, and Coral charges no withdrawal fees.

For Sky Vegas, review sites list Visa and Mastercard debit, Maestro, Apple Pay and Pay by Bank, with a £5 minimum deposit. They report Pay by Bank withdrawals as instant, fast card payouts in 1 to 4 hours, standard cards and Apple Pay in 2 to 5 business days, and bank transfers in 3 to 7. Withdrawals are described as free.

Help and support channels

Both apps rely on live chat and email rather than phone support. Coral’s email address is help@coral.co.uk, a review site reports 24/7 live chat, and no phone line is published.

Review sites report 24/7 live chat at Sky Vegas, which starts with an AI chatbot and passes you to a human agent, plus email at support@skyvegas.com and social media. If you need to escalate a dispute, our guide to how to complain about a casino app covers the route to an independent adjudicator.

Safer gambling tools and marketing controls

Review sites say Sky Vegas prompts you to set a deposit limit at sign-up and offers reality checks, cool-off periods, self-exclusion and a profit and loss view. Coral’s store listing mentions safer gambling tools without naming them; see our Coral safer gambling tools page for what it publishes.

Marketing is worth controlling too. You can withdraw consent for emails, texts and push notifications at any time. Here’s how to cut promotional messages from either app:

  1. Open the app and go to your account settings.
  2. Look for the marketing or contact preferences option.
  3. Switch off email, SMS and push marketing that you don’t want.
  4. On your phone, open the system notification settings and turn off notifications for the app.
  5. If you want a complete break, use the app’s self-exclusion option or register with GAMSTOP.

The push notifications and gambling marketing guide explains your rights, and GAMSTOP covers every UK-licensed operator for 6 months, 1 year or 5 years.

Who operates each app, and their regulatory record

Coral is run by LC International Limited, part of Entain, under Gambling Commission account 54743, with a remote casino licence active since 1 July 2019. The same company runs Ladbrokes, so you may not be able to open new accounts with both.

Sky Vegas now trades under Bonne Terre Gaming Limited in Gibraltar. The register entry for Bonne Terre Gaming (opens in a new tab) shows account 65519, with remote casino and bingo licences active from 18 November 2024. The former licensee, Bonne Terre Limited (opens in a new tab) in Leeds, surrendered its licence on 31 October 2025. Sky Betting & Gaming joined Flutter Entertainment when the merger with The Stars Group completed on 5 May 2020.

The 2022 fine was issued against Bonne Terre Limited, trading as Sky Betting and Gaming, for breaches of the rules on self-exclusion and marketing. It’s a good reason to check your own marketing settings in any app. The guide to marketing consent rules explains what operators may send you.

Alternatives with a welcome offer: Coral Casino

We don’t have an offer with Sky Vegas, so the only welcome offer on this page is Coral’s. It’s for new players aged 18+, and terms apply. Gambling should be paid for out of spare money, as the house edge means losing over time is the likely outcome.

  • Deposit (certain types excluded) and bet £10 or more on slots for 100 free spins on selected games, 10p each.

Frequently asked questions

Is Coral or Sky Vegas the better casino app?

Coral is the better pick for most people on a recent iPhone, thanks to its smaller download, wider payment choice and no-fee policy published by the operator. Sky Vegas is better if your iPhone is stuck on an older iOS version or you mainly want Jackpot King slots. Coral scores 4.3/5 in our editorial ratings. Our Sky Vegas app review covers that app in full.

Will the Sky Vegas app work on an older iPhone?

Yes, the Sky Vegas app should work on more older iPhones than Coral’s. Its App Store listing needs iOS 15.0 or later, while Coral needs iOS 18.0 or later. Any iPhone that can run iOS 15 but not iOS 18 can install Sky Vegas but not Coral’s app. The page on casino apps on older iPhones has more detail.

How big is the Sky Vegas app compared with Coral?

On the App Store, Sky Vegas weighs 155.7 MB, about 54 MB larger than the 101.6 MB Coral Casino app. Both can use more space once games and data are cached, so leave some extra room on your phone. Clearing an app’s cache can help if storage gets tight. Our guide to how much storage casino apps take explains what to expect.

Does Sky Vegas have a no-deposit offer?

At the time of checking (25 October 2026), review sites reported that Sky Vegas gives 50 spins on registration with no deposit, plus 200 more after depositing and staking £10 within 30 days. Spins reportedly expire after 7 days, with no wagering on winnings. We couldn’t confirm this on Sky Vegas’s own site. Coral has no no-deposit offer. The explainer on free spins in casino apps covers how these offers work.

Why was Sky Betting and Gaming fined?

Sky Betting and Gaming was fined £1.17m in March 2022 because a Sky Vegas promotion was emailed to people who had self-excluded or unsubscribed. On 2 November 2021, a “Bet £5 get 100 free spins” message reached about 41,395 self-excluded and 249,159 unsubscribed customers. Our guide to self-exclusion from casino apps explains how self-exclusion should protect you.

Who owns Coral and Sky Vegas?

Coral is owned by Entain and run by LC International Limited, which also runs Ladbrokes. Sky Vegas is part of Flutter Entertainment, which took on Sky Betting & Gaming in its merger with The Stars Group, completed on 5 May 2020. Sky Vegas now operates under Bonne Terre Gaming Limited. The Entain glossary entry explains the group’s other brands.

Can I use PayPal on Coral or Sky Vegas?

Coral’s help centre lists PayPal for deposits and withdrawals, though PayPal deposits don’t qualify for its welcome offer. Review sites don’t list PayPal for Sky Vegas, naming debit cards, Apple Pay and Pay by Bank instead. Check the cashier in either app for the current list. Our guide to PayPal casino apps compares UK options.

Does Coral charge for withdrawals?

No, Coral’s help pages state that it doesn’t charge any withdrawal fees. Requests are reviewed internally, then paid out anywhere from instantly to five banking days, depending on the method. Fast Bank Transfer takes 2 to 4 business days after approval. Review sites describe Sky Vegas withdrawals as free too. Our Coral withdrawals page has the full breakdown.
