LeoVegas Android app: what's confirmed and what isn't
Most people searching for the LeoVegas Android app want two answers: is it on Google Play, and is it safe to install. The honest position is that a third-party review says LeoVegas has an Android app, but no UK Google Play listing could be confirmed when this page was checked on 25 October 2026. That means we can't publish a package name, a size, a minimum Android version or a Data safety summary for it.
What is solid is the company behind the brand. LeoVegas is run in Britain by LeoVegas Gaming PLC, a Malta-registered business holding Gambling Commission account 39198, and it has been owned by MGM Resorts International since a 2022 takeover. The full picture of the brand is in our LeoVegas app review.
| Detail | Status |
|---|---|
| Android app exists | Reported by a third-party review |
| UK Google Play listing | Not confirmed |
| Developer name on Play | Not confirmed (licence holder is LeoVegas Gaming PLC) |
| Minimum Android version | Not published |
| Download size | Not published |
| Content rating | Not published |
| Active UK website | leovegas.co.uk (leovegas.com is listed as inactive) |
An unconfirmed listing isn't evidence that something is wrong. It only means the details couldn't be verified, so check them yourself on your phone before installing anything.
Is the LeoVegas app on Google Play or an APK?
Google has allowed licensed real-money gambling apps in the UK for years. Its country and region allowances for gambling apps (opens in a new tab) list the United Kingdom for online casino games, sports betting and lotteries, and a January 2020 Play Console announcement already named the UK as a permitted country.
To be listed, a developer has to complete Google's application process and hold a valid licence for each country where the app is offered. Under the Google Play real-money gambling policy (opens in a new tab), the app must also block under-18s, block people outside the licensed area, cost nothing to download and avoid Google Play's in-app billing.
So a brand with an active Gambling Commission licence, like LeoVegas, has a normal route onto Google Play. That's why, for a licensed operator, the Play Store is the first place to look and an APK file should be the exception. Our guide on why some casino apps are not on Google Play covers the less common cases.
How to search Google Play for LeoVegas
- Open the Google Play Store app on your Android phone, signed in with an account set to the UK.
- Search for "LeoVegas" and open any result that looks like the casino.
- Scroll to the developer name under the app title and compare it with the licence holder, LeoVegas Gaming PLC.
- Open "About this app" to check the content rating, which should be for adults only.
- Read the Data safety section before you tap Install.
Which developer should the LeoVegas Android app show?
Google's gambling application form asks for the licensee's name, the licence number and the app's package name, so a genuine UK casino app is normally published by the licensed company or a closely linked group business. For LeoVegas, that's LeoVegas Gaming PLC.
The same Gambling Commission licence also covers BetMGM, BetUK, 21.co.uk, Pink Casino and Slot Boss. If you already use the BetMGM app, you're dealing with the same licence holder, which matters for self-exclusion and account checks.
| Role | Name | Where it's published |
|---|---|---|
| UK licence holder | LeoVegas Gaming PLC | Gambling Commission register, account 39198 |
| Owner group | MGM Resorts International | Takeover completed in 2022 ($604m reported) |
| Brand launched | 2012 | Third-party review |
| Remote casino licence active | Since 1 November 2014 | Gambling Commission register |
| Other brands on the licence | BetMGM, BetUK, 21.co.uk, Pink Casino, Slot Boss | Gambling Commission register |
You can confirm all of this on the LeoVegas Gaming PLC register entry (opens in a new tab). If a store listing or download page names a company you can't find on that register, don't install it. Our explainer on how to spot an unlicensed casino app shows the warning signs.
Installing a LeoVegas APK safely
If you're ever offered a LeoVegas APK rather than a Play Store download, take extra care. Whether UK operators still hand out APKs isn't something we could confirm, so treat any file as unverified until you've traced it back to the operator's UK domain, leovegas.co.uk.
Android has tightened sideloading since version 8.0. Google's developer blog explains that the old global "unknown sources" switch was replaced with a per-app install permission (opens in a new tab), so you approve one specific app (such as Chrome) to install files and can withdraw that approval at any time.
- Only download from a link on the operator's own UK website, never from a forum, message or file-sharing site.
- When Android asks, allow "Install unknown apps" for the one app you used to download, such as Chrome.
- Open the downloaded file and check the app name and permissions on the install screen.
- Let Google Play Protect scan it; don't override a warning about a harmful app.
- Go back to Settings and switch off the install permission you granted in step 2.
Google Play Protect (opens in a new tab) checks Play Store apps before you download them and also scans your phone for harmful apps from other sources. It can warn you, ask to send an unknown app for review, or switch off and remove an app it judges harmful. Our guide to Play Protect and casino apps and the question is it safe to download a casino APK go into more detail.
LeoVegas on Android without the app
You don't need an app to play at a UK-licensed casino. The LeoVegas website works in Chrome or Samsung Internet on Android, using the same account, balance and safer-gambling settings. Since the games are built for mobile browsers, the main difference is convenience rather than the games themselves.
A shortcut on your home screen gets you most of the way to an app icon without installing anything. See adding a casino web app to your home screen, and our comparison of a casino app vs mobile site for the trade-offs.
LeoVegas games on an Android phone
A third-party review lists more than 4,000 casino games at LeoVegas, including over 60 jackpot slots and over 200 live tables. Branded titles include Gates of LeoVegas 1000, LeoVegas Cluster Gems and LeoVegas Megaways, plus LeoVegas-branded live blackjack and roulette and the LeoJackpot network. Live games are reported to come from Evolution, OnAir, Playtech Live and Pragmatic Play Live. These counts aren't operator-confirmed, so check the lobby yourself.
UK rules apply the same way on an Android phone as on a laptop. Online slots are capped at £5 a spin if you're 25 or over and £2 if you're 18 to 24, as our page on slot stake limits explains. Each slot spin must take at least 2.5 seconds, and there's no autoplay, turbo or slam-stop.
Expected cost is simple maths. A slot with a 96% RTP has a 4% house edge, so £1 spins over 300 spins (£300 staked) cost about £12 on average, although any one session can swing far above or below that.
Google Pay and withdrawals in the LeoVegas Android app
LeoVegas is reported to take debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal and Instant Bank Transfer. Google Pay is the obvious fit on Android, since it uses the debit card already saved on your phone. Credit cards can't be used to gamble in Great Britain, including through a wallet.
| Method | Reported time | Fees |
|---|---|---|
| PayPal | In as little as 20 minutes | Not published |
| Debit cards | Up to 3 business days | Not published |
| Mobile wallets | Up to 3 business days | Not published |
| Bank transfer | Up to 5 business days | Not published |

Is the LeoVegas Android app safe? Licence and fines
LeoVegas holds active UK licences for remote casino, bingo and general betting, so it must follow Gambling Commission rules on age checks, fair terms and safer gambling. It also has a regulatory history that's worth knowing before you sign up.
- 3 August 2022: a £1.32m financial penalty (reported as £1.2m in trade press), a warning and a third-party audit for anti-money laundering and social responsibility failures between October 2019 and October 2020, including weak customer interaction and thresholds set too high.
- 2 May 2018: a £627,000 package (£600,000 in lieu of a penalty, £13,000 costs and a divestment) over 41 misleading adverts and self-exclusion failures, including marketing to lapsed self-excluders.
Both actions are several years old and the brand is still licensed. For the wider safety picture on Android, read are casino apps safe.
Safer gambling tools on LeoVegas and Android
LeoVegas is reported to offer deposit limits, spend, loss and wagering limits, time limits, reality checks, self-exclusion and a self-assessment tool. Set a deposit limit before your first payment; UK operators have had to prompt you to choose a financial limit at that point since 31 October 2025.
Android adds its own layer. Digital Wellbeing lets you set an app timer that closes the app and dims its icon when time runs out, which our guide to blocking casino apps with Digital Wellbeing walks through. For a firm break from every UK-licensed site, GAMSTOP covers 6 months, 1 year or 5 years.
LeoVegas Android app welcome offer at the time of checking
At the time of checking (25 October 2026), a third-party review listed the LeoVegas welcome offer as 50 free spins on Big Bass Splash for new customers who opt in, deposit £10 or more within 7 days of registering and wager it once on eligible casino games within 7 days. The spins are worth 10p each (£5 in total) and expire after 72 hours. 18+ and terms apply.
It's described as no wagering, though the small print reportedly says wagering contributions vary, and the terms weren't verified on the operator's site. We don't promote this offer; read the current terms in the app.

Frequently asked questions
Is there a LeoVegas app for Android?
A third-party review says LeoVegas has an Android app, but a UK Google Play listing couldn't be confirmed when this page was checked on 25 October 2026. Search the Play Store yourself and check that the developer matches the licence holder, LeoVegas Gaming PLC. If you can't find it, the website works in your phone's browser with the same account. Our LeoVegas app review covers the brand in full.
Is the LeoVegas Android app on Google Play in the UK?
That couldn't be confirmed at the time of checking. Google Play does allow licensed real-money casino apps in the UK, and LeoVegas holds an active Gambling Commission licence, so a listing is possible. Search the store on a phone set to the UK region and compare the developer name with the register. Our guide on why some casino apps are not on Google Play explains the usual reasons a listing doesn't appear.
Is it safe to download a LeoVegas APK?
Only if the file comes directly from the operator's official UK website, and even then it carries more risk than a Play Store install. Files from forums, messages or mirror sites can be tampered with. Grant the install permission to one app only, let Play Protect scan the file and switch the permission off afterwards. Read is it safe to download a casino APK before going ahead.
Who makes the LeoVegas app?
The UK licence holder behind LeoVegas is LeoVegas Gaming PLC, a Malta-registered company with Gambling Commission account 39198, and the group has been owned by MGM Resorts International since 2022. The same licence covers BetMGM, BetUK, 21.co.uk, Pink Casino and Slot Boss. The developer name on any Android listing wasn't confirmed, so compare it with the register. See also our BetMGM app review, which shares the licence.
Can I use Google Pay in the LeoVegas app?
Google Pay is listed among LeoVegas deposit methods by a third-party review, alongside debit cards, Apple Pay, PayPal and Instant Bank Transfer. It draws on the debit card saved in your Google wallet, and UK rules ban credit card gambling even when it goes through a wallet. Withdrawals to mobile wallets are reported to take up to 3 business days. Our Google Pay casino apps page explains how it works.
What Android version does the LeoVegas app need?
The minimum Android version isn't published in the information we could verify, and the same goes for the app's download size. If you find the app on Google Play, the listing will tell you whether your phone is compatible before you install it. If it isn't, the mobile website runs in Chrome on most modern phones. Our guide to casino apps on Android phones covers compatibility in general.
Has LeoVegas been fined by the Gambling Commission?
Yes, twice. On 3 August 2022 LeoVegas Gaming PLC received a £1.32m penalty, a warning and a third-party audit for anti-money laundering and social responsibility failures between October 2019 and October 2020. In May 2018 it agreed a £627,000 package over misleading adverts and self-exclusion failures. It remains licensed. Our guide to how casino apps are licensed in the UK explains what the Commission checks.
Does LeoVegas have a welcome offer on Android?
At the time of checking (25 October 2026), a third-party review listed 50 free spins on Big Bass Splash, 10p each, for new customers who deposit £10 or more within 7 days of signing up and wager it once on eligible games within 7 days. The spins expire after 72 hours. 18+ and terms apply. It isn't a BestApps partner offer; compare the no wagering casino apps we list.
