Best Slingo apps UK
The best Slingo apps UK players can choose from are hard to rank on game lists alone, because none of our three partner apps names Slingo in its published store listing. So we rank PlayOJO, Coral and Ladbrokes on what a Slingo player needs, show which other UK apps do list Slingo, and explain how to check a lobby before you deposit.
Key takeaways
- None of our partner apps' published listings mentions Slingo, so check the game lobby before you deposit.
- PlayOJO ranks first: a 25.4 MB iPhone app, a bingo licence and no minimum withdrawal.
- Paddy Power Games, Virgin Games, Jackpotjoy and Gala Bingo all name Slingo in their App Store listings.
- Slingo titles publish their own RTP: open the help screen and work out the cost before you play.
- 18+. Partner offers are slot offers with terms, not Slingo bonuses.
- Partner listings naming Slingo
- None published
- Our top pick
- PlayOJO (iOS 15.0+, 25.4 MB)
- Classic Slingo card
- 5x5 grid, up to 20 spins

- Brand owner
- Gaming Realms (sale announced 2015)
Best Slingo apps UK: the honest short answer
If you want a UK app where Slingo is confirmed in the store listing itself, look at the non-partner apps further down this page: Paddy Power Games, Virgin Games, Jackpotjoy and the Gala bingo app all name it. Our three ranked partners, PlayOJO, Coral and Ladbrokes, don't mention Slingo in the App Store or Google Play text we checked, and their help pages don't list it either.
That doesn't mean the game is missing. Casino lobbies change far more often than store descriptions, and a listing usually names only the headline categories. It does mean we can't promise you'll find Slingo in any of them, so we tell you how to check in under a minute before you put any money in.
Our ranking is about app quality for someone who likes Slingo-style games: small stakes, quick sessions and easy withdrawals of modest wins. It is not a claim that any partner carries a particular Slingo title.
What Slingo is and how it plays in a real money app
Slingo is a hybrid of slots and bingo, and the name joins the two words. In the classic version you get a five-by-five number card and up to 20 spins of a five-reel strip. Each reel lines up with one column of the card, covering 1–15, 16–30, 31–45, 46–60 and 61–75, and any number a reel shows that sits in its column gets marked off.
Special symbols speed things up. A Joker lets you mark any number in the column where it lands, while a Super Joker lets you pick any number on the whole card. Real-money versions build their own prize rules on top of that card, and they differ from one title to the next.
The game has a longer history than most people expect. According to the Slingo entry on Wikipedia (opens in a new tab), New Jersey property developer Sal Falciglia Sr. created it in 1994, the first public version ran on AOL in 1996, and RealNetworks bought it in 2013 before announcing a sale to London-based Gaming Realms in July 2015. Under Gaming Realms it became a fixture of UK online casinos, with a studio range known as Slingo Originals.
For a fuller walkthrough of the format on a small screen, see our guide to playing Slingo on mobile. If you mostly enjoy the bingo side, the bingo apps guide is the better starting point.
How we ranked Slingo apps for UK players
Like every list in our best casino apps rankings, we rank only our partner apps, and only on facts the operators or app stores publish. Because no partner confirms Slingo, the weighting leans towards the things that shape a Slingo session on a phone.
| Criterion | Why it matters for Slingo | Where the facts come from |
|---|---|---|
| Game mix | Slingo sits between bingo and slots, so apps strong in both are the likeliest home | App Store and Google Play descriptions, licence records |
| App size and iOS version | Slingo is a quick-session game; a light app suits older or fuller phones | App Store listings |
| Small withdrawals | Slingo wins are often modest, so low minimums and no fees matter | Operator help pages |
| Support access | You may need to ask support whether a title is in the lobby | Operator help pages and review sites |
| Safer-gambling tools | Short rounds can add up quickly | App listings and help pages |
Our overall app scores come from the same published facts, never from play sessions. The method is set out on how we review casino apps.
1. PlayOJO: a light app with bingo and no minimum withdrawal
The PlayOJO app is our first pick for Slingo fans because its strengths line up with how the game is played. On the App Store it appears as "PlayOJO Real Money Casino" from Skill On Net Ltd, needs iOS 15.0 or later and weighs just 25.4 MB, far less than either Entain app below. On Android it is listed on Google Play as "PlayOJO: Online Casino Games".
PlayOJO is a casino-only brand with no sportsbook bolted on. Its listing names slots, jackpot slots, bingo, table games and live casino, and its licence holder has held a Gambling Commission bingo licence since February 2020 on top of the casino licence it has had since 2014. Of our three partners, it is the only one whose listing names bingo, which is the nearest published match to Slingo.
The money side suits small, frequent wins. PlayOJO's help page says you can withdraw as little as you want and that it processes most payments within a few hours. Its OJOplus feature pays money back on every game played, and its safer-gambling tools include deposit limits, Take A Break and Safe Mate.
The weak points: support is live chat after login plus email, with no phone number on the help page, and the register shows a £305,150 regulatory settlement in May 2023. Our editorial score is Rated 4.2/5. Read the full PlayOJO app review or its games page for more.
2. Coral Casino: the top-scoring app, with fast card payouts
Coral has our highest overall score, Rated 4.3/5, built mainly on its payments and its standalone casino app. "Coral Casino: Slots & Games" is separate from Coral's sportsbook, is published by Entain, needs iOS 18.0 or later and is 101.6 MB. The Android version is on Google Play under LC International Limited.
Its store listing covers slots, including Megaways and classic fruit machines, plus blackjack, roulette, Live Casino and free-to-play games with real-money prizes. Slingo isn't named, so treat it as unconfirmed. Coral's help pages give a £5 minimum deposit for Google Pay and Pay by Bank, say there are no withdrawal fees, and describe Visa Fast Funds payouts that typically reach the bank within about four hours of approval.
The iOS 18.0 requirement is the main drawback for anyone on an older iPhone, and Coral doesn't publish a phone number for support. See our Coral app review and the Coral games guide for the full picture.
3. Ladbrokes Casino: free daily extras beside the main lobby
The Ladbrokes casino app, "Ladbrokes Casino Games & Slots" on iOS, also comes from Entain, needs iOS 18.0 or later and is 101.2 MB. Its listing claims 1,800+ slots alongside blackjack, roulette and live casino with game shows, but Slingo isn't mentioned.
What earns it a place here is the light, low-cost side of the app. The listing describes free-to-play games such as Instant Spins and a daily prize wheel, plus LadBucks, a reward currency used on arcade games. Payments mirror Coral: £5 minimum through Google Pay or Pay by Bank, no withdrawal fees, and the same Visa Fast Funds timings. Review sites say phone support is available, which Coral doesn't offer.
Ladbrokes and Coral share a licence holder, LC International Limited, so you may not be able to open new accounts at both; our explainer on holding Coral and Ladbrokes accounts covers why. Our score is Rated 4.2/5, and the Ladbrokes app review has the detail.
PlayOJO vs Coral vs Ladbrokes for Slingo players
| Detail | PlayOJO | Coral Casino | Ladbrokes Casino |
|---|---|---|---|
| Slingo in published listing | Not named | Not named | Not named |

PlayOJO wins on fit rather than raw score: lighter app, bingo in the mix and no floor on withdrawals. Coral is the stronger all-rounder if your phone runs iOS 18. For a wider ranking that isn't tied to one game, see our best real money casino apps list.
Other UK Slingo apps worth knowing
These apps aren't ranked and we have no offer with them, but their published information does mention Slingo. Each is licensed by the Gambling Commission; follow the links for our full reviews.
| App | Where Slingo is mentioned | iPhone requirement | iPhone size | App type |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Paddy Power Games | App Store listing | iOS 15.0 or later | 150.4 MB | Standalone casino |
| Virgin Games: Real Money Slots | App Store listing and operator site | iOS 16.0 or later | 95.4 MB | Standalone casino |
| Jackpotjoy - Real Money Casino | App Store listing | iOS 16.0 or later | 94.2 MB | Bingo and casino |
| Gala - Bingo & Slot Games | App Store listing | iOS 18.0 or later | 99.7 MB | Bingo and casino |
| Midnite: Sports & Casino | Review sites (40+ Slingo games) | iOS 16.0 or later | 168 MB | Sports and casino |
| kwiff: Sports Betting & Casino | Store listings and review sites | iOS 13.0 or later | 19.7 MB | Sports and casino |
Paddy Power Games is the standalone casino app from the Flutter-owned brand. Virgin Games and Jackpotjoy are both run by Gamesys Operations Limited, and the Gala bingo app comes from the same licence holder as Coral and Ladbrokes; see our Gala Bingo app review.
Midnite and kwiff are combined sports and casino apps, and their Slingo claims rest partly on review sites rather than the operators, so check the lobby. kwiff's iPhone app is the smallest here at 19.7 MB and runs on iOS 13.0 or later.
How to check an app has Slingo before you deposit
Some apps let you browse the lobby before you register, and support can answer the question even if yours doesn't. Because identity and age checks come before any play, even free demos, checking first can save you a wasted sign-up.
- Install the app only from the App Store or Google Play, searching for the exact name in the tables above.
- Open the lobby or games tab and use the search bar to type "Slingo".
- If nothing appears, look for a category called Slingo, Bingo or Instant games.
- Still unsure? Ask live chat or email support whether Slingo titles are available in the app as well as on the website.
- Open any Slingo title's help screen and note its RTP, number of spins and pay ladder before you stake anything.
- Set a deposit limit at sign-up; UK apps must prompt you to set a financial limit before your first deposit.
Our download guide for iPhone and the Android install guide walk through the store side of this.
What Slingo costs: RTP, stakes and a £20 budget
No Slingo title's RTP is in our verified sources, and they vary, so the useful skill is turning the figure on the help screen into pounds. The formula is the same as for any casino game: expected loss equals total staked multiplied by (100% minus RTP).
| Stake per game | Games from £20 (if nothing comes back) | Expected loss per 1 percentage point below 100% RTP |
|---|---|---|
| 20p | 100 | 20p per £20 staked |
| 50p | 40 | 20p per £20 staked |
| £1 | 20 | 20p per £20 staked |
| £2 | 10 | 20p per £20 staked |
The last column shows the point: the cost per pound staked is the same at any stake. A title with an RTP 4 points below 100% costs about 80p on average for every £20 you put through it, whether that is 100 small games or 10 bigger ones. Bigger stakes simply move you through the budget faster and widen the swings.
If a game's help screen lists more than one RTP, for example for different features or options, use the figure for the way you actually play. If you can't spot the figure, our walkthrough on finding a game's RTP in an app covers the usual hiding places.
UK rules that shape Slingo on your phone
Slingo sits awkwardly between categories, which affects how the rules apply. The Gambling Commission's slot stake limits of £5 per spin for players aged 25 and over, and £2 for 18 to 24-year-olds, apply to online slots, which its stake limit guidance (opens in a new tab) defines as reel-based casino games. We haven't seen Commission guidance naming Slingo itself, so rely on the stake range shown in the game; our page on slot stake limits explains the wider rule.
- No autoplay: since 17 January 2025 autoplay has been banned for all online casino games, so every Slingo spin is your own tap.
- Minimum game speed: slots must take at least 2.5 seconds per spin, and other casino games at least 5 seconds per game cycle.
- One game at a time: you can't play several casino games at once.
- Spend and time on screen: net spend and time spent must be shown in real time.
- Age checks first: you must be verified as 18+ before you deposit or play, including free demo games.
For the full set of design rules, see our explainer on why there is no autoplay on UK casino apps.
Slingo app mistakes to avoid
- Assuming a welcome offer covers Slingo. All three partner offers are built around slots; Slingo play is unlikely to count, so read the terms.
- Confusing social Slingo with real money. Free coin apps in the stores are not gambling apps and pay no cash; see social casino vs real money apps.
- Downloading from outside the stores. Stick to the App Store and Google Play, and check the operator on the Gambling Commission register.
- Chasing a nearly finished card. A card that looks one number away from a line is no more likely to pay on the next game; each round is a fresh bet with its own cost.
- Playing without a limit. Short rounds pass quickly. Set limits in the app and look at our safer gambling tools guide.
Slingo is entertainment that costs money, and the RTP means losses are likely over time. If it stops feeling like fun, the National Gambling Helpline, run by GamCare (opens in a new tab), is free and open 24/7 on 0808 8020 133.
Welcome offers on our ranked Slingo apps
None of these offers is a Slingo bonus. They are slot welcome offers from the three apps ranked above, shown here because they are the only offers we promote. 18+ and terms apply to each.
- PlayOJO: 80 free spins on Big Bass Bonanza at 10p each with a first deposit of at least £10, no wagering, winnings paid as cash. New UK customers only, excluding Northern Ireland; can't be combined with other offers and only available through the designated offer link.
- Coral: deposit and bet £10 or more on slots between 1 October 2026 and 1 February 2027 to get 100 free spins at 10p on selected games. You have 48 hours to accept the spins and 7 days to use them, and their winnings carry no wagering. Funding that first deposit through Neteller, PayPal, Paysafe, Skrill, a prepaid card or some debit cards won't count.
- Ladbrokes: deposit and spend £10 or more on slots to get 50 free spins a day for your first 10 days, up to 500 in total, at 10p each on selected games. Claim each day's batch before 23:59; each lasts 7 days and has no wagering attached. A qualifying deposit can't come from a prepaid card, PayPal, Paysafe, Neteller, Skrill or Moneybookers.
In spin value, that is 80 × 10p = £8 at PlayOJO, 100 × 10p = £10 at Coral and up to 500 × 10p = £50 at Ladbrokes if you claim every day. The house edge still applies to every spin, so these figures are stakes, not winnings.

Frequently asked questions
Which casino apps have Slingo in the UK?
Several UK apps name Slingo in their App Store listings, including Paddy Power Games, Virgin Games, Jackpotjoy and the Gala bingo app. Review sites also report Slingo at Midnite and kwiff. Our ranked partners, PlayOJO, Coral and Ladbrokes, don't mention it in their published listings, so check their lobbies. Our Virgin Games review and Jackpotjoy review cover two of the apps that do list it.
What is the best Slingo app UK players can download?
Among our partners, PlayOJO is our top pick for Slingo fans, though Slingo isn't named in its listing. It is a 25.4 MB iPhone app needing iOS 15.0 or later, lists bingo alongside slots and lets you withdraw as little as you want. If confirmed Slingo matters most, the non-partner apps that name it may suit you better. See our PlayOJO app review for the full detail.
Is Slingo a slot or bingo?
Slingo is both: it combines a slot-style reel spin with a bingo-style number card. The reels pick numbers, which you mark off a five-by-five card, and Jokers let you choose numbers yourself. Real-money versions add their own pay ladders and special symbols, so the help screen is the rulebook. Our Slingo glossary entry gives a short definition, and Slingo on mobile explains the format in depth.
Can I use free spins on Slingo?
Usually not, because welcome free spins are tied to named slot games. PlayOJO's spins are for Big Bass Bonanza, and Coral's and Ladbrokes' are for selected slots, with £10 of slot play needed to qualify. Slingo games may not count towards the qualifying bet either, so read the terms. 18+, terms apply. Our guide to free spins in casino apps explains how they work.
What is the RTP of Slingo games?
It depends on the title, and each Slingo game shows its own figure in the help screen. RTP stands for return to player: the share of all stakes paid back over a very large number of games. If you can't find it, ask support before you play. Use our guide to finding a game's RTP in an app to locate it.
Do the £5 and £2 slot stake limits apply to Slingo?
The limits apply to online slots, which the Gambling Commission defines as reel-based casino games, and we haven't seen guidance that names Slingo directly. In practice, the game will show you the stakes allowed for your age group. The limits are £5 per spin for players aged 25 and over and £2 for those aged 18 to 24. Our slot stake limits page explains who they cover.
Can I play Slingo for free on a UK app?
Some real-money apps offer demo play, but UK rules require you to verify your age before using free-to-play games too. Free coin apps in the stores are social casino games that pay no real money. If you want to try the format without spending, check whether the app offers a demo after verification. Our page on demo mode in casino apps explains the rules.
Is a Slingo app safe to download?
A Slingo app is safe to download when it comes from the App Store or Google Play and the operator holds a Gambling Commission licence. All the apps on this page are UK-licensed. Avoid APK files from websites and any app that doesn't show a UK licence. Our guide on whether casino apps are safe lists the checks to make before you install.
