Relax Gaming slots on mobile
Relax Gaming slots on mobile are best known for the Money Train series, a run of high-volatility games built around a respin bonus full of collector symbols. Below you’ll find Relax’s licence details, RTPs and max wins for its main titles, what a £20 budget looks like at different stakes, and how these busy bonus grids work on a phone.
Key takeaways
- Relax Gaming holds a Gambling Commission licence, account 37462, in the name of Relax Gaming Ltd.
- The Money Train series runs from 2019 to 2026, with published max wins rising from 20,000x to 150,000x the stake.
- Most Relax titles listed here sit around 96.1% to 96.46% RTP, but some games have lower versions, so check the help screen.

Relax Gaming slots on mobile: the short version
Relax Gaming is a Malta-based studio whose slots run in UK casino apps through the operator’s game lobby, not through an app of its own. If you’ve seen a train heist theme with a respin round packed with special characters, you’ve likely met its Money Train games, which are the reason most players search for the studio.
The catalogue leans towards high volatility. Several titles list max wins in the tens of thousands of times the stake, which sounds exciting but comes with long stretches where very little happens. Treat that as the price of entry and size your stake to match, and remember that the house edge means you should expect to lose over time.
Our slot provider guides cover other studios in the same way, and our individual slot reviews have full write-ups of individual games.
Who is Relax Gaming? Licence and background
Relax Gaming was founded in 2010 by Patrik Österåker and Jani Tekoniemi. It started out in Tallinn, Estonia, and is now headquartered in Malta. Its own in-house slots date from 2018, eight years after the company began, and the Money Train series followed in 2019.
In Great Britain the business is licensed by the Gambling Commission under account 37462, held by Relax Gaming Ltd. It is also regulated in Malta, Gibraltar, Alderney, Denmark, Romania and Ontario. A supplier licence like this covers the game software; the casino app you play in needs its own operator licence, which is what protects your account and funds.

The two partner programmes, Silver Bullet and Powered By, mean you may see the Relax name next to games built by other studios. The Stockholm studio Thunderkick, for example, is listed as a Powered By partner of Relax. A game’s information screen names the developer, so check there if you want to know who actually made it. Our page on how casino apps are licensed in the UK explains the operator side.
The Money Train series on mobile, game by game
Every Money Train game shares one core idea: a bonus round where special symbols collect, pay out or boost the values around them. The table below sets out the published specifications of each one. Where a cell says not published, the figure isn’t confirmed, so check the game’s help screen.
| Game | Released | RTP | Volatility | Max win |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Money Train | 2019 | 96.2% | Not published | 20,000x stake |
| Money Train 2 | Not published | 96.40% | High | 50,000x |
| Money Train 3 | 2022 | 96.1% | High (top of Relax’s scale) | 100,000x stake |
| Money Train 4 | 2023 | 96.1% | High | 150,000x stake |
| Money Train 5 | 2026 | 96.1% (lower versions exist) | Not published | 100,000x (Ultra mode); 50,000x (Standard mode) |
| Money Cart 2 | 2021 | 98.00% (lower versions exist) | High | Not published |
The first three games use five reels and four rows with 40 fixed paylines. Money Train 4 broke the pattern with a 6x6 grid and scatter pays, where eight or more matching symbols anywhere in view win. Money Train 5, released in 2026, returns to five reels and 40 paylines and adds Standard and Ultra modes plus a Super Free Spins upgrade.
Money Cart 2 is a spin-off that keeps the respin bonus and its collector, persistent and multiplier symbols. Its 98.00% headline RTP is unusually high, but lower versions exist, so the figure in your app may differ.
How the Money Cart bonus works
The Money Cart round is a respin bonus. In the series’ later games it starts when three or more bonus symbols land. You get three respins, and the counter resets to three every time a new symbol sticks to the reels. The round ends when you run out of respins without anything new landing.
What makes it different from a plain hold and win game is the cast of special symbols. The line-up varies between games, but the published descriptions give them these jobs:
- Collectors gather values from other symbols on screen.
- Payers pay their value to other symbols in view.
- Some characters add value to symbols, and some open an extra reel.
- Snipers, Necromancers and Shapeshifters appear in later games and change the values on screen in their own ways; the paytable explains each one.
- Persistent versions keep acting on every later respin rather than just once.
Filling a reel or row can open extra space: up to two extra reels in Money Train 2, and up to four extra rows on Money Train 4’s grid. Money Train 2 also has a base-game respin, where two bonus symbols add their multipliers together and the reels respin until a win lands, with the multiplier rising by one after each losing respin.
Other Relax Gaming slots worth knowing
Relax’s catalogue goes well beyond trains. These four titles show the range, from a Megaways game to a cascading grid of mystery symbols.
| Game | Layout | RTP | Volatility | Max win |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Iron Bank | 6x4, 4,096 ways | 96.2% | High | 49,999x stake |
| Hellcatraz | 6x6, 46,656 ways | 96.46% (Mixed Mode) | High to very high | 51,840x stake |
| TNT Tumble | 5x4 growing to 5x7, cluster pays | 96.11% | Medium–high | Not published |
| Temple Tumble Megaways | 6 reels, 2 to 6 symbols each | 96.25% | High | About 7,767x stake |
Iron Bank puts full-reel wilds with 2x to 10x multipliers on reels two to five, and the multipliers combine. Its free spins let you choose between three modes. Hellcatraz fills its grid with mystery symbols that count down with each cascade, and collecting 2,000 keys leads to Super Free Spins.
TNT Tumble is a cluster pays game where breaking stone blocks grows the grid. Temple Tumble Megaways uses the Megaways mechanic under licence from Big Time Gaming, and clearing its stone blocks starts six free spins with a choice of spins, multipliers or both. Our Megaways slots on mobile guide explains how the changing reel heights work.
Dream Drop jackpots in Relax Gaming slots
Dream Drop is Relax Gaming’s jackpot network, launched in 2022. Games linked to it add a jackpot layer on top of the normal slot, so there is a second set of prizes to read about before you spin.
The tiers, seed values and how the jackpot is triggered vary by game and aren’t set out here, so read the jackpot rules in the game’s help screen before you stake. The Gambling Commission’s technical standard on progressive jackpot systems (opens in a new tab) sets rules on how these systems must be described and run. For the wider picture, see our guide to jackpot slots on mobile and the definition of a progressive jackpot.
What high volatility means for a £20 budget
Volatility describes how a game spreads its returns. On high-volatility Relax games most of the return is concentrated in rare bonus rounds and big hits, so plenty of sessions end with the budget gone and no bonus seen. RTP is a long-run average over millions of spins, not a promise for your session.
Standard game maths gives the expected cost: stake multiplied by the house edge. At 96.1% RTP the house edge is 3.9%, so every £100 you stake costs £3.90 on average. The table shows what that looks like at common stakes.
| Stake per spin | Spins £20 covers if nothing lands | Total staked over 100 spins | Average cost of 100 spins |
|---|---|---|---|
| 10p | 200 | £10 | 39p |
| 50p | 40 | £50 | £1.95 |
| £1 | 20 | £100 | £3.90 |
| £2 (top stake for 18–24s) | 10 | £200 | £7.80 |
| £5 (top stake for 25 and over) | 4 | £500 | £19.50 |
Those averages hide a wide spread. On a high-volatility game you could lose the whole £20 in a few minutes, or land a bonus that pays many times your stake. Lower stakes don’t change the odds, but they give you more spins and more chances to see the feature before the budget runs out.
Money Cart 2’s headline RTP of 98.00% would cost £2 per £100 staked on average, but lower versions exist. Our guide on how to find a game’s RTP in an app shows where the figure is usually shown.
How to find and check Relax Gaming slots in a casino app
Casino apps don’t always sort their lobbies by studio, and none of our partners publishes a list of the Relax titles it carries. These steps work in most UK apps.
- Set a deposit limit first. UK apps must prompt you to set a financial limit before your first deposit, so pick an amount you’re comfortable losing.
- Open the game lobby and use the search box. Type a game name, such as Money Train 3, rather than the studio name, as not every app supports searching by provider.
- Tap the game to open it, then find the information or help screen, usually behind an i or menu icon inside the game.
- Check the RTP shown there. If it differs from the figure on this page, the app is running a different version of the game.
- Read the paytable and the bonus rules so you know what each special symbol does before you spend money.
- Choose your stake. Remember the £5 per spin limit for players aged 25 and over, and £2 for players aged 18 to 24.
If you want to try a game without staking, our guide to demo mode on casino apps explains how free-play versions work in Britain, including the age check they now need.
Playing Relax Gaming slots on a phone
Relax games, like most modern slots, are built in HTML5, so they run inside the casino app or a mobile browser without a separate download. The game loads its graphics and sound when you open it, so the first launch on mobile data uses more than later spins.
The Money Cart round is the part that tests a small screen. Values appear on many symbols at once and change on every respin, and the grid can grow by extra reels or rows. Turning your phone sideways may give the numbers more room if the game supports landscape; our page on landscape vs portrait mode covers this. Raising your screen brightness and closing other apps can also help.
- Use Wi-Fi where you can if your data allowance is tight; see our casino app data usage guide.
- If the app drops out mid-bonus, the Commission has a technical standard on interrupted games; our page on what happens to a bet if your app crashes explains what that means for you.
- Turn off notifications from casino apps if they tempt you back in.
UK rules that shape Relax Gaming slots in British apps
Every Relax slot offered to British players has to meet the Gambling Commission’s game design rules. Under its responsible product design standard (opens in a new tab), each slot spin must take at least 2.5 seconds, there is no autoplay, turbo or slam-stop, and a win that is equal to or less than your stake can’t be celebrated as a win.
The online slot stake limits (opens in a new tab) apply too: £5 per spin for players aged 25 and over since 9 April 2025, and £2 for players aged 18 to 24 since 21 May 2025. Since a Gambling Commission warning in January 2020, feature buy-ins are not offered to British players, so any bonus-buy option you may read about on non-UK sites won’t appear in a UK app.
Our pages on slot stake limits and game design rules go into the detail, and why there is no autoplay on UK casino apps explains the reasoning.
Studios similar to Relax Gaming
If you like the Money Cart style of respin bonus, Nolimit City is another studio known for high-volatility games with layered features. Big Time Gaming created the Megaways mechanic that Temple Tumble uses under licence, and Push Gaming is another studio to compare. For a list of apps with a strong slot range, see our best slot apps UK ranking.
Casino apps with a slot offer for Relax Gaming fans

Coral and Ladbrokes are both run by LC International Limited, part of Entain, so you may not be able to open new accounts at both. Bonus spins don’t change a game’s house edge, so treat them as extra play, not a way to make money.

Frequently asked questions
Are Relax Gaming slots available on mobile?
Yes, Relax Gaming slots are built to run on phones and tablets inside UK casino apps and mobile browsers. They load through the operator’s lobby rather than a separate app, so you need an account with a licensed casino that carries them. Not every app has every title, and none of our partners publishes a Relax list, so search the lobby by game name. Our slots on mobile guide covers the basics of playing on a phone.
Is Relax Gaming licensed in the UK?
Yes. Relax Gaming Ltd holds a Gambling Commission licence under account number 37462, and the company is also regulated in Malta, Gibraltar, Alderney, Denmark, Romania and Ontario. That licence covers its game software. The casino app you play in needs its own Commission licence, which is what protects your account. See how casino apps are licensed in the UK for how the two fit together.
What is the RTP of Money Train slots?
The published RTPs are 96.2% for Money Train, 96.40% for Money Train 2, and 96.1% for Money Train 3, 4 and 5. Money Train 5 also has lower versions, so the figure in your app could be different. Always open the game’s help screen to see the version you’re actually playing. Our guide on finding a game’s RTP in an app shows where to look, and the RTP glossary entry explains what the number means.
Which Money Train game has the biggest max win?
Money Train 4 lists the highest max win in the series at 150,000 times the stake. Money Train 3 and the Ultra mode of Money Train 5 list 100,000 times, Money Train 2 lists 50,000 times and the original lists 20,000 times. A max win is a cap, not a likely outcome, and very few sessions come anywhere near it. Read our Money Train 4 review for how its 6x6 grid works.
Can I buy the Money Cart bonus in a UK casino app?
No. Since a Gambling Commission warning in January 2020, feature buy-ins are not offered to British players, so you can only reach the Money Cart bonus by landing the bonus symbols during normal play. Any bonus-buy button described on non-UK sites won’t appear in a UK-licensed app. Our page on online game design rules explains the wider rules that shape slots in Britain.
What is Dream Drop?
Dream Drop is Relax Gaming’s jackpot network, launched in 2022. Games linked to it offer jackpot prizes on top of the normal slot’s wins. The number of tiers, the prize sizes and how a jackpot is won aren’t set out in one place and can vary by game, so read the jackpot rules in the help screen before you stake anything. Our guide to jackpot slots on mobile explains how linked jackpots generally work.
Are Relax Gaming slots good for small budgets?
They can be played at low stakes, but most Relax titles listed here are high volatility, which means a small budget can run out before a bonus appears. At 10p a spin, £20 gives you 200 spins if nothing lands; at £1, just 20. Lower stakes give you more spins, but they don’t change the odds. Our low stakes casino games guide has more ideas for stretching a budget.
What is the maximum stake on Relax slots in the UK?
The maximum is £5 per spin if you’re 25 or over, and £2 per spin if you’re aged 18 to 24. These Gambling Commission limits apply to all online slots, including every Relax Gaming title, and took effect in April and May 2025. They don’t apply to table games such as roulette or blackjack. Our online slot stake limits page has the full detail and dates.
