Speed casino games on mobile
Speed casino games on mobile are live tables that play the same rules in less time: Evolution’s Speed Roulette runs a round every 25 seconds, about half the usual, and Speed Baccarat takes about 27 seconds against 48. The odds per round don’t change, but more rounds an hour means more money staked, so the real cost of a session rises with the pace.
Key takeaways
- Speed games keep the normal rules and house edge but shorten each round: 25 seconds for Speed Roulette, about 27 for Speed Baccarat.
- Twice as many rounds an hour means roughly twice the expected loss if you bet every round: about £3.89 an hour at £1 on Speed Roulette against £1.94 at standard pace.
- Short betting windows are harder on a phone; a re-bet button helps, and the Gambling Commission says re-bet isn’t autoplay.
- UK rules require at least 5 seconds per game cycle and ban player-controlled speed-ups, but studio-paced speed tables sit well above that minimum.
- Speed Roulette round
- 25 seconds (Evolution)
- Speed Baccarat round

Speed casino games on mobile: what makes them faster
A speed game is a live dealer table built to finish each round sooner. The rules, payouts and house edge are the same as the standard game; what changes is the time spent between results. Studios do this by trimming the betting window, dealing cards face up, or letting players act at the same time.
Evolution’s Speed Roulette page (opens in a new tab) says its rounds take 25 seconds from spin to spin, about half a standard round, because betting happens only while the ball is spinning. Pragmatic Play’s Speed Roulette averages around 25 seconds too, and the studio also runs Speed Auto Roulette, Speed Baccarat and Speed Blackjack. For the wider live range, start at our live casino apps hub, and for every game type on a phone see the mobile casino games guide.
Speed Roulette, Speed Baccarat and Speed Blackjack compared
| Game | Studio | Published pace | How time is saved |
|---|---|---|---|
| Speed Roulette | Evolution | 25 seconds a round, about half standard | Bets placed only during the spin |
| Speed Roulette | Pragmatic Play | Around 25 seconds a round | Shorter round cycle |
| Speed Baccarat | Evolution | About 27 seconds, against about 48 for standard | Cards dealt face up |
| Speed Blackjack | Evolution | About 30–40% faster than standard live blackjack | All players decide at once; fastest decider gets the next card first |
| Speed Auto Roulette | Evolution | 2,500 games a day | Automated wheel, no dealer, bets during the spin |
Evolution’s launch release for Speed Blackjack (opens in a new tab) says the game keeps standard live blackjack rules except for the decision phase. After the first two cards, everyone decides at the same time, and whoever decides fastest receives their next card first. Its Chief Product Officer described the result as about 30 to 40% faster.
Our guides to live roulette on mobile, live baccarat on mobile and live blackjack on mobile cover the standard versions of each.
How many rounds an hour speed tables play
Round times turn into rounds per hour with simple division: 3,600 seconds ÷ seconds per round. These are maximums for a player who bets every single round, which few people do, but they show how much faster the money moves.
| Game | Round time | Rounds per hour |
|---|---|---|
| Speed Roulette (Evolution) | 25 seconds | 144 |
| Standard live roulette (twice as long) | About 50 seconds | About 72 |
| Speed Baccarat (Evolution) | About 27 seconds | About 133 |
| Standard live baccarat (Evolution) | About 48 seconds | 75 |
| Speed Auto Roulette (Evolution) | 2,500 games a day | About 104 (2,500 ÷ 24) |
| Auto Roulette (Evolution) | Not stated per round | 60 to 80 |
The standard roulette figure follows from Evolution’s statement that Speed Roulette takes about half the time of a standard round; it isn’t a separately published number. Auto Roulette has no live dealer and uses an automated wheel, which is how it can run around the clock.
What faster rounds cost you per hour
Speed doesn’t change the house edge, but it multiplies how often that edge is applied. Expected loss per hour is stake per round × rounds per hour × house edge. Single-zero roulette has a 2.70% house edge on every bet, and on an eight-deck baccarat shoe Wizard of Odds puts the edge at 1.06% on Banker and 1.24% on Player.
| Game and bet | Stake | Standard pace | Speed pace |
|---|---|---|---|
| European roulette, any bet (2.70%) | £1 | £1.94 (72 rounds) | £3.89 (144 rounds) |
| European roulette, any bet (2.70%) | £5 | £9.72 | £19.44 |
| Baccarat, Banker (1.06%) | £5 | £3.98 (75 rounds) | £7.07 (about 133 rounds) |
| Baccarat, Player (1.24%) | £5 | £4.65 | £8.27 |
The arithmetic for the first row: £1 × 144 × 2.70% = £3.89. At standard pace, £1 × 72 × 2.70% = £1.94. Speed Blackjack works the same way: whatever extra hands a faster table gets through in an hour, your expected loss per hour rises in proportion at the same stake. These are long-run averages; any single hour can end well up or well down.
Tie bets are a different story. Wizard of Odds’ baccarat house edge figures (opens in a new tab) give 14.36% on a Tie paying 8 to 1 with eight decks, more than thirteen times the Banker edge. At speed, a habit of adding a Tie bet gets expensive quickly. For the full picture, see the house edge of mobile casino games.
Placing bets in a short window on your phone
Speed Roulette takes bets only while the ball is spinning, so the window is short, and a phone adds its own delays: a weak signal, a notification, or a mistap on a small betting grid. If a bet doesn’t register before betting closes, it isn’t placed for that round.
Streaming delay matters too. Pragmatic Play says its in-house streaming has glass-to-glass latency as low as 1.5 to 2 seconds, with conditions applying. Other studios publish different or no figures, and your connection adds to whatever the studio achieves.
- Join the table on Wi-Fi or a strong 4G or 5G signal, and turn on Do Not Disturb so alerts don’t cover the betting grid.
- Watch one or two rounds without betting to see how long the window lasts.
- Decide your bet and stake before betting opens, rather than during the spin.
- Use the re-bet option, where the game offers one, to repeat a bet without rebuilding it each round.
- Check the confirmation of your bet on screen before the window closes.
- Glance at the net spend and session time display every few rounds, and leave when you hit your limit.

Speed tables vs turbo: why one is allowed in the UK
Readers sometimes ask how speed games fit with UK rules, given that turbo spins were banned. The difference is who controls the pace. RTS 14E says the system must not let a customer reduce the time until a result is shown, which rules out turbo spin, quick spin and slam stop. A speed table runs at a pace set by the studio for everyone, and you can’t make it go faster.
Speed tables also sit well above the minimum. Since 17 January 2025, casino games other than slots must allow at least 5 seconds from the start of one game until the next game cycle can begin. A 25-second round is five times that. Our page on game speed rules sets out both the 2.5-second slot rule and the 5-second rule for other casino games.
UK rules that apply to speed live games
| Rule | What it requires | In force |
|---|---|---|
| 5-second minimum (RTS 14G) | At least 5 seconds per game cycle for non-slot casino games | 17 January 2025 |
| No customer speed-up (RTS 14E) | You can’t reduce the time until the result is shown | Applies to casino games |
| Autoplay ban | Each round must be started individually; live games included | 17 January 2025 |
| One game at a time (RTS 14C) | No playing several games at once; operator-led multi-table play banned | Extended to casino games in 2025 |
| Net spend and time display | Shown in real time | 17 January 2025 |
On autoplay, the Commission said in its autoplay decision (opens in a new tab) that it saw no convincing reason to exclude live casino games. The 2025 rules also ended operator-led multi-product play, with roulette and blackjack tables named as examples. The £5 and £2 stake limits apply only to online slots, not to roulette, baccarat or blackjack tables.
Speed Blackjack on a phone: decide before you’re dealt
Speed Blackjack rewards quick decisions with an earlier next card, which creates pressure to act fast. That pressure is where mistakes happen, and a wrong decision costs more than a slow one. Learning basic strategy beforehand means you already know the right play for each hand.
Basic strategy reduces the house edge in blackjack, but never removes it, and no betting pattern changes that. Our page on blackjack strategy on mobile explains how it works. If a timed table feels too fast, a game you pace yourself, such as one of the First Person games on mobile, removes the clock.
Speed Baccarat and Auto Roulette: no-frills versions
Speed Baccarat deals the cards face up, so there’s no squeeze or reveal ritual to slow things down. Banker and Player keep their usual edges, and the faster pace is the only real change. Our Speed Baccarat on mobile page covers the table in more detail.
Auto Roulette goes further by removing the dealer: Evolution describes a fully automated wheel that can play 60 to 80 games an hour, around the clock, in European, French and American versions. American wheels carry a 5.26% house edge against 2.70% for single zero, so check which wheel you’re on. Evolution’s Instant Roulette uses twelve synchronised Auto Roulette wheels that spin almost constantly, so a result is always moments away. Our European roulette on mobile guide explains the single-zero wheel.
Which casino apps have speed games?
None of our partners lists speed tables by name in its store listing or help pages, so check the live lobby before you join. Here’s what the listings do confirm:
- Casumo app: the Android app is titled “Casumo – Live Casino & Slots”; the iOS app combines casino and sportsbook and mentions live casino.
- 10bet app: one combined sportsbook and casino app whose store descriptions mention live casino tables.
- Coral Casino app: a standalone casino app; its listing mentions blackjack, roulette and Live Casino.
Speed tables come mainly from the big live studios; see Evolution live games on mobile. Our ranking of the best live casino apps compares the partners’ live sections.
Keeping a fast game from running away with you
The whole point of a speed table is less waiting, and less waiting means fewer natural moments to stop and think. Treat the session as paid entertainment with a fixed budget, and expect to lose over time.
- Set a deposit limit before you join a speed table.
- Decide on a number of rounds as well as a budget, and count them.
- Skip rounds freely; you don’t have to bet on every spin or hand.
- Never raise stakes to recover losses.
- Free, confidential help is available from the National Gambling Helpline on 0808 8020 133, run by GamCare, 24/7.
Live casino apps with a welcome offer
None of these offers is a live casino bonus. Live tables are often excluded from bonus wagering or count for less, 10bet’s bonus must be wagered on slots, and Coral’s offer is free spins on slots. Check the terms before you opt in. All offers are 18+, for new customers only, and terms apply.
- Casumo: opt in and deposit at least £20 for the first time to get a 50% bonus up to £100. The bonus must be wagered 10 times within 7 days, and bets are capped at £5 while it’s active. A £50 deposit, for example, brings a £25 bonus and £250 of wagering. Game, play and payment restrictions apply.
- 10bet Casino: pick the casino welcome bonus when you sign up and deposit within 7 days for a 100% match up to £25. Wager the bonus 10 times on slots within 3 days (£250 for the full £25). Maximum bonus winnings are £1,000, and Skrill and Neteller deposits don’t count.
- Coral Casino: deposit (certain types excluded) and bet £10 or more on slots for 100 free spins at 10p each on selected games. Accept within 48 hours and use within 7 days; winnings from the spins have no wagering. The offer runs 1 October 2026 to 1 February 2027; Neteller, PayPal, Paysafe, Skrill, prepaid cards and certain debit cards don’t qualify.
Bonus wagering has a cost of its own because the house edge applies to every pound wagered. Our guide to how wagering works in casino apps explains the 10x cap and how to work out what a bonus is really worth.

Frequently asked questions
What is Speed Roulette?
Speed Roulette is a live roulette table that plays faster than standard by taking bets only while the ball is spinning. Evolution says its rounds take 25 seconds, about half a standard round, and Pragmatic Play’s version averages around 25 seconds too. The wheel, bets and payouts are the same as normal roulette, so a single-zero wheel still has a 2.70% house edge. Our live roulette on mobile guide covers the standard game.
Do speed games have worse odds?
No, speed games keep the same rules and house edge as the standard versions. What changes is the number of rounds per hour. If you bet on every round, a table that runs twice as fast roughly doubles your expected loss per hour at the same stake, even though each round’s odds are unchanged. Our house edge glossary entry explains how the edge turns into a cost.
How does Speed Blackjack work?
Speed Blackjack uses standard live blackjack rules, but after the first two cards everyone at the table decides at the same time, and the fastest decider receives their next card first. Evolution’s Chief Product Officer described it as about 30 to 40% faster than standard live blackjack. Knowing basic strategy beforehand helps you make the right decision under time pressure. See our live blackjack on mobile guide.
Are speed casino games allowed under UK rules?
Yes. UK rules ban features that let a player shorten the time until a result is shown, such as turbo and slam stop, but speed tables run at a pace set by the studio for everyone. They also exceed the 5-second minimum game cycle for non-slot casino games, in force since 17 January 2025, by a wide margin. Our guide to game speed rules on mobile explains both rules.
Can I play Speed Roulette on 4G?
You can play live speed tables on 4G, but a strong, stable signal matters more than usual, because Speed Roulette accepts bets only during the spin and the window is short. A weak connection can delay your bet or the video. Wi-Fi, or a strong 4G or 5G signal, and Do Not Disturb mode both help. Our answer on whether live casino works on 4G explains what affects the stream.
What happens if I miss the betting window?
If your bet hasn’t been accepted before betting closes, it isn’t placed for that round, and you simply wait for the next one. That’s more likely on a phone with a weak signal or a crowded betting grid. Decide your bet before the window opens, and use the re-bet option where the game has one. If a connection drops mid-round, our guide on how casino apps handle disconnections explains what usually happens.
Is Auto Roulette the same as Speed Roulette?
Not quite. Auto Roulette has no dealer and uses a fully automated wheel, which Evolution says can run 60 to 80 games an hour, around the clock. Speed Roulette has a live dealer and a 25-second round. Evolution also runs Speed Auto Roulette, which combines the two at 2,500 games a day. All of them use the same roulette odds. Our European roulette on mobile page covers the single-zero wheel.
Can I use a welcome bonus on speed live games?
Usually not on good terms. Live casino games are often excluded from bonus wagering or count for less, 10bet’s welcome bonus must be wagered on slots, and Coral’s current offer is free spins on slots. Casumo says game restrictions apply to its 50% bonus. Read the bonus terms before you opt in. Our answer on using a bonus on live casino in the app goes into more detail.
