Evolution live games on mobile
Evolution live games on mobile are the dealer tables and game shows, such as Crazy Time, Lightning Roulette and Infinite Blackjack, that most UK casino apps stream into their live lobby. Here is who makes them, how they're licensed, what the published RTPs mean in pounds, and how UK rules shape them on a phone.
Key takeaways
- Evolution says it has run online live casino since 2006 and operates more than 2,000 live tables and game show sets.
- Its GB licence is held by Evolution Malta Holding Limited, which agreed a £4.75m settlement with the Gambling Commission in July 2026.
- Published returns range from about 90.81% on some Dream Catcher bets to 99.6% on Cash or Crash with optimal play, so the bet you pick matters.
- Live games can't use autoplay in Britain and must allow at least 5 seconds per game cycle; the £5 and £2 slot stake limits don't apply to them.

Evolution live games on mobile in brief
Evolution is the studio behind many of the live tables you see when you open the live section of a UK casino app. It films real dealers and presenters in purpose-built studios and streams them to your phone, where the casino's app adds the betting buttons, your balance and the cashier.
The company says it has offered online live casino since 2006 and now runs more than 2,000 live tables and game show environments in 15 languages. Its public game site says players connect by phone or computer, place bets and make decisions through the game software, and can chat with the dealer or other players.
You never download an "Evolution app". You play its games inside an operator's app, so the operator's licence, cashier, bonus terms and safer gambling tools all apply. For the wider picture, start at our live casino apps hub.
Who runs Evolution: licence, owner group and history
Evolution's licences page (opens in a new tab) names Evolution Malta Holding Limited as its GB licensee, under Gambling Commission account 41655, and lists a UK Combined Remote Operating Licence. Its Maltese arm, Evolution Gaming Malta Limited, holds a Malta Gaming Authority licence.
The group is bigger than its live studios. Its brand list puts Evolution and Ezugi on the live side and four slot studios alongside them: NetEnt, Red Tiger, Big Time Gaming and Nolimit City. That's why some Evolution game shows borrow characters from NetEnt slots.

Is Evolution safe? The 2026 Gambling Commission settlement
On 23 July 2026 the Gambling Commission announced that Evolution Malta Holding Limited would pay £4.75m (opens in a new tab). The Commission said Evolution's games had appeared on six unlicensed websites that people in Great Britain could reach, and that those sites drew large numbers of UK visits between December 2023 and November 2024.
The Commission found that Evolution's anti-money-laundering risk assessment wasn't strong enough to spot two business partners supplying its games into Great Britain without a licence. It also found weak controls for keeping its games away from unlicensed operators, and gaps in customer due diligence. It described the failings as serious enough to consider suspending the licence, and noted that Evolution acted quickly and that later testing raised no further concerns.
This case was about where Evolution's games ended up, not about the fairness of results at its tables. The practical lesson for you is simple: play only in apps run by operators on the Gambling Commission's register. Our guide to spotting an unlicensed casino app shows how to check.
Evolution live games you can play on your phone
Evolution's live casino covers blackjack, roulette, game shows, poker, baccarat, and dice and craps. These are the families you're most likely to see in a UK app's live lobby, with our in-depth guides where we have them.

|---|---|---|
| Game shows | Crazy Time, MONOPOLY Live, Dream Catcher, Funky Time, Lightning Storm, Ice Fishing | Presenter-led wheels or draws with bonus rounds |
| Lottery-style | Mega Ball, MONOPOLY Big Baller | Ball draws against bingo-style cards |
| Roulette | Lightning, XXXtreme Lightning, Immersive, Speed, Auto, Red Door | Real wheels, some with random multipliers |
| Blackjack | Infinite, Lightning, Free Bet, Power | Unlimited-seat formats and rule twists |

Evolution RTPs and what they cost in pounds
Evolution's public pages give RTP figures for only some games. Where a figure exists, it comes either from Evolution or from Wizard of Odds' analysis of Evolution's disclosed numbers. For anything else, open the help screen inside the game, which shows the RTP of the version you're actually playing.
| Game | Return to player | Top multiplier published | Expected loss per £10 bet |
|---|---|---|---|
| Crazy Time | 94.41% to 96.08%, by bet | Up to 20,000x on the Crazy Time bonus | 39p to 56p |
| MONOPOLY Live | 91.30% (bet on 5) to 96.23% (bet on 2) | Not stated | 38p to 87p |
| Dream Catcher | 90.81% (40) to 96.58% (10) | Up to 20,000x | 34p to 92p |
| Deal or No Deal Live | 95.42% | Cases up to 500x, before Top Up | 46p |
| Cash or Crash | 99.6% with optimal play only | 50,000x | 4p (optimal play) |
| Infinite Blackjack | 99.55% (0.45% house edge) | Standard blackjack payouts | 4.5p |
The expected-loss column is the stake multiplied by the house edge (100% minus the RTP). It's a long-run average, not a prediction for one session. In the short term you can win or lose far more, and over time the edge means losses are the likely outcome.
Speed is the other half of the cost. Evolution says its Auto Roulette can run 60 to 80 games an hour. At £2 a spin on a single-zero wheel, which has a 2.70% house edge, 80 spins means £160 staked and an expected loss of about £4.32 an hour. Compare that with a slower dealer-led table before you settle in, and see our house edge by game table for the wider picture.
Evolution First Person games: the RNG versions
Some Evolution titles come in two forms. The live version uses a real presenter and equipment, while the First Person version is an RNG game with 3D animation, in which card deals, wheel spins and dice results come from a random number generator.
First Person titles include Lightning Roulette, XXXtreme Lightning Roulette, Lightning Blackjack, Lightning Baccarat, Mega Ball, Dream Catcher, Craps, Blackjack and Deal or No Deal. A "Go Live" button moves you from the animated version to the live table of the same game.
On a phone, First Person games suit short sessions or weak signal, because there's no live video to keep up with. They're still real-money games with a house edge, though. Our page on first person games explains the difference in more depth.
How an Evolution live round runs in a casino app
Every Evolution table follows the same basic loop, whether it's a wheel, a shoe or a ball machine. Here is what happens from the moment you tap into a table.
- Open your casino app's live section and choose a table. The provider's name usually appears on the tile or in the game's information screen.
- Read the help screen before staking. It lists the rules, payouts, betting limits and RTP for that version.
- Wait for the betting window. On Crazy Time it lasts 15 seconds, so decide your stake before it opens.
- Place your chips on the layout. When the timer ends, bets close and the presenter spins, deals or draws.
- The physical result is turned into data and your bet is settled automatically. Bonus rounds only pay players who backed that bonus.
- Check the net spend and session time display, which UK rules require, before you decide whether to play another round.
If your connection drops mid-round, your bet doesn't vanish. Our guide to what happens to a bet if your app crashes explains how operators must handle interruptions.
Inside Evolution's studios: cameras, dealers and real casino floors
Evolution describes its studios as built like TV or film sets, with multi-camera video, audio, lighting and IT systems, broadcasting in real time and often around the clock. It says its technology, software and hardware are all built in-house.
A few formats show how far the camera work goes. Live Baccarat Squeeze uses more than 15 cameras, and Immersive Roulette shows a slow-motion replay of the winning number. Dual Play tables sit inside land-based casinos, with the UK among the countries Evolution names, so you can bet on a real casino-floor game from your phone.
Not every table has a dealer. Auto Roulette uses an automated wheel with no croupier, and Evolution says its Speed Auto Roulette runs 2,500 games a day. You can read more about the people side in our answer to whether live dealers on apps are real people.
Playing Evolution games well on a small screen
Busy layouts like Crazy Time or XXXtreme Lightning Roulette pack a lot onto a phone screen. Whether a table works best upright or sideways depends on the operator's app, so try both before you stake, and see our note on landscape and portrait mode.
- Use a steady connection. Live video streams for the whole session, so wi-fi or a strong 4G or 5G signal helps. Our live casino data usage page covers the numbers you can measure yourself.
- Mind the timer. Short betting windows and a small screen make mis-taps easier. Set your chip value first, then place bets.
- Keep chat polite. Evolution tables let you message the dealer and other players. See our guide to live casino chat on mobile.
- Set limits first. Use deposit limits and reality checks before a session, not during one.
UK rules for Evolution live games on mobile
Since 17 January 2025, the Gambling Commission's design rules have covered online casino games beyond slots, and it said it saw no convincing reason to exclude live casino. Under RTS 14 (opens in a new tab), these rules shape every Evolution table in a UK app.
| Rule | What it means at an Evolution table | In force |
|---|---|---|
| No autoplay | You place each bet yourself; a re-bet button is allowed because it isn't autoplay | 17 January 2025 |
| 5-second minimum game cycle | Even Speed Roulette's 25-second rounds are well above it | 17 January 2025 |
| No playing several games at once | Operators can't push multi-table play | 17 January 2025 |
| Net spend and time on screen | The app must show both in real time | 17 January 2025 |
| No celebrating a return at or below your stake | No win fanfare when you get back your stake or less | Covers casino games under RTS 14F |
| Slot stake limits | Don't apply: they cover reel-based online slots only | Not applicable |
Our pages on the autoplay ban, game speed rules and slot stake limits explain each rule in full.
Where to play Evolution live games: UK apps and their offers
Our partners don't publish which live studios they carry, so check the live lobby of the Casumo live casino app, the 10bet live casino or the Coral live casino app for Evolution tables. Their store listings do mention live casino: Casumo's Android app is even called "Casumo - Live Casino & Slots".
None of the offers below pays out on Evolution games directly. Two are deposit bonuses whose wagering usually counts best on slots, and Coral's is a slot spins offer, so treat them as separate from any live play. All are for new customers aged 18+, and terms apply.
- Casumo: 50% bonus up to £100 on a first deposit of £20 or more, with opt-in required. Wager the bonus 10x within 7 days, with a maximum bet of £5 while it's active. A £200 deposit gets the full £100 bonus, which then needs £1,000 of wagering. Game, play and payment restrictions apply.
- 10bet: 100% match up to £25. Choose the casino welcome bonus when you sign up and make your first deposit within 7 days. Wager the bonus 10x on slots within 3 days (£250 of slot play for a £25 bonus); bonus winnings are capped at £1,000, and Skrill and Neteller deposits are excluded.
- Coral: bet £10 on slots and get 100 free spins worth 10p each (£10 in total) on selected games. Accept them within 48 hours and use them within 7 days; there's no wagering on the winnings. The offer runs from 1 October 2026 to 1 February 2027, and Neteller, PayPal, Paysafe, Skrill, prepaid cards and certain debit cards don't qualify.
Coral and Ladbrokes are both run by LC International Limited, so you may not be able to open new accounts with both. Compare the full set on our best live casino apps list.

Frequently asked questions
Can I play Evolution live games on my phone?
Yes, through a licensed casino's app or mobile site rather than a separate Evolution app. Evolution says players connect by phone or computer and use the game software to bet, make decisions and chat. The operator supplies the account, cashier and safer gambling tools, so pick a UK-licensed app first. Our answer to can I play live casino on my phone covers the basics, and the live casino apps hub lists our game guides.
Is Evolution licensed in the UK?
Yes. Evolution's licences page names Evolution Malta Holding Limited as its GB licensee, under Gambling Commission account 41655, and lists a UK Combined Remote Operating Licence. In July 2026 the company agreed a £4.75m settlement after the Commission found its games had appeared on unlicensed sites reachable from Great Britain. Read how licensing works in our guide to how casino apps are licensed in the UK.
Which Evolution game has the best RTP?
Among the figures published, Cash or Crash's 99.6% is highest, but only with optimal decisions; weaker play returns less. Infinite Blackjack is rated at a 0.45% house edge by Wizard of Odds with the rules it lists. Game shows are lower, with Crazy Time at 94.41% to 96.08% depending on the bet. Always confirm the figure in the game's help screen, as our guide on finding a game's RTP in an app explains.
Are Evolution live games rigged?
There's no evidence of that. Results come from real dealers and physical equipment, and Evolution's GB licence means its games must meet the Gambling Commission's technical standards. The 2026 settlement concerned games reaching unlicensed websites, not unfair results. Every game still has a house edge, so the long-run expectation is a loss. Our answer to is live casino on mobile real explains how results are produced.
What is the difference between Evolution live and First Person games?
Live games use a real presenter or dealer and physical equipment streamed from a studio, while First Person games are RNG games with 3D animation. In First Person titles, card deals, wheel spins and dice results come from a random number generator. A Go Live button can move you from the animated version to the live table of the same game. Our first person game definition and RNG entry explain both terms.
Do the £5 and £2 slot stake limits apply to Evolution games?
No. The Gambling Commission's stake limits cover online slots, meaning reel-based casino games, and not games such as roulette or blackjack. Live tables keep the operator's own table limits instead, which you'll see in each game's help screen. Other rules do apply to live games, including the autoplay ban and the 5-second minimum game cycle. See our pages on slot stake limits and game speed rules.
Can I use a casino bonus on Evolution live games?
Usually not in full, so check the terms before you try. Welcome offers at our partners are aimed at slots: 10bet's wagering counts on slots, Coral's spins are for selected slots, and Casumo applies game restrictions. Live games are often excluded or count for less towards wagering. Our answer to can I use a bonus on live casino in the app explains how contribution rates work.
How much data does an Evolution game use?
More than a slot, because a live table streams video for the whole time it's open. The exact amount depends on the stream quality your app chooses and how long you play, so the most reliable figure is the one your phone's own data counter shows after a short session. Busy game shows with lots of camera work are likely to be heavier than an RNG game. Our guide to live casino data usage shows how to measure it.
