Ladbrokes Casino app settings and notifications are split across three places: your phone’s own settings for push alerts and location, your Ladbrokes account for personal details, payments and limits, and your marketing preferences for emails, texts and calls. This page shows what sits where and how to change each one.

Key takeaways

  • Push alerts are switched on or off in your phone’s settings, not by contacting Ladbrokes.
  • UK rules let you choose casino, betting and bingo marketing separately, by email, SMS and phone, and the default is opt-out.
  • The iOS privacy label shows no tracking category; precise location is collected but not linked to you.
  • Ladbrokes caps UK accounts at three active payment methods in a rolling 30 days, and credit cards are not accepted.

Where Ladbrokes Casino app settings and notifications are controlled

There is no single settings screen that covers everything. The standalone Ladbrokes Casino app, published by Entain and separate from the Ladbrokes sportsbook app, handles your account, while iOS and Android handle device permissions. Your marketing choices sit with your account but are governed by a Gambling Commission rule that applies to every UK operator.

Knowing which layer controls what saves a lot of hunting. If an alert keeps popping up on your lock screen, that is a phone setting. If an email about a casino promotion arrives, that is a marketing preference. If you want to change your deposit limit or card, that is your account. Our full Ladbrokes Casino app review covers the rest of the app.

How to turn Ladbrokes app notifications on or off

Neither the App Store nor the Google Play listing describes what notifications the Ladbrokes Casino app sends. Whatever it sends, both iOS and Android let you allow or silence any app’s alerts from the phone’s own settings, and that switch overrides anything inside the app.

On an iPhone or iPad

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap Notifications and scroll to the Ladbrokes Casino app in the list.
  3. Turn Allow Notifications off to silence it completely, or keep it on and choose which alert styles appear.
  4. If you only want quiet alerts, switch off sounds and lock-screen banners but keep notifications in the history.

On an Android phone

  1. Press and hold the Ladbrokes Casino icon and open App info, or find the app under Apps in Settings.
  2. Open Notifications.
  3. Turn all notifications off, or switch off individual categories if the app offers them.
  4. Check again after a big app update, because new notification categories can appear.

Our general guide to turning off casino app notifications covers the same steps for other apps. If you find alerts make you want to open the app when you had not planned to, the page on notifications and gambling urges is worth a read.

Ladbrokes marketing preferences: casino, betting and bingo choices

Since 1 May 2025, the Gambling Commission’s direct marketing rule (SR Code 5.1.12) (opens in a new tab) has required online operators to let customers opt in to marketing by product and by channel. The products are betting, casino and bingo, and the channels are email, SMS and phone. The options must be off by default, so you only get what you ticked.

This matters at Ladbrokes because the brand covers sport and casino. You can, for example, accept casino emails while refusing betting texts, or refuse everything. Existing customers had to be asked to confirm their choices at their first log-in after the rule started. More detail is on our UK marketing consent rule page.

Push notifications are not one of the required channels. When the Commission consulted, it judged a separate push option unnecessary, which is why your phone’s notification switch is the reliable way to control them. Our explainer on push notifications and gambling marketing goes into the background.

If an operator sees strong signs of gambling harm on an account, the rules say marketing and new bonus take-up must stop. That applies whatever your preference boxes say.

How to stop Ladbrokes marketing emails and texts

Changing your preferences in your account is the cleanest route, because it covers every channel at once. Look for the marketing or contact preferences option in your account settings; we don’t name an exact menu path because app layouts change between versions.

  1. Log in to the Ladbrokes Casino app (our Ladbrokes app login guide helps if you’re locked out).
  2. Open your account area and find the marketing or contact preferences option.
  3. Untick each product and channel you no longer want, for example casino by SMS.
  4. Save, then use the unsubscribe link in the next email you receive as a backstop.
  5. If messages continue, contact Ladbrokes support at support@ladbrokes.com and keep a copy of your request.

The Commission has its own page on how to stop gambling marketing texts and emails (opens in a new tab), including where to report messages you never agreed to. Our short answer on stopping casino marketing texts sums it up.

Account settings in the Ladbrokes Casino app

Your account settings hold the things tied to your identity: contact details, password, payment methods and limits. Because LC International Limited holds a remote casino licence from the Gambling Commission (account 54743), some of these work to fixed rules rather than Ladbrokes’ own choice.

  • Deposit limit prompt: since 31 October 2025 every UK operator must prompt you to set a financial limit before your first deposit. Setting one is the default, and skipping it has to be confirmed.
  • Payment methods: Ladbrokes’ help pages say UK accounts can have up to three active payment methods in a rolling 30 days, and withdrawals follow a closed-loop policy back to the method you paid with. See Ladbrokes app payment methods.
  • No credit cards: the UK credit card ban has applied since 14 April 2020, so only debit cards and other permitted methods appear.
  • Verification details: your name, date of birth and address must match your documents, so change them through support if they are wrong. Our Ladbrokes verification guide explains the checks.

Ladbrokes’ help centre puts the per-deposit cap at £2,000 for UK customers and says it charges no withdrawal fees. If you keep a card saved in the app, read our answer on whether it’s safe to save a card in a casino app.

Ladbrokes app privacy label, data and location settings

The Ladbrokes Casino Games & Slots App Store listing (opens in a new tab) shows no “used to track you” category. It lists data linked to you as financial info, contact info, user content, search history, identifiers and usage data. Precise location and diagnostics are listed as collected but not linked to you.

The Google Play listing (opens in a new tab) data safety section says personal info and app activity are collected and shared, data is encrypted in transit, and you can ask for it to be deleted. The two stores use different formats, so read each on its own terms; our guide on reading a casino app privacy label explains both.

Ladbrokes’ help pages don’t state whether the app needs location services switched on. Apple’s rules require real-money gambling apps to be limited to places where they are licensed, so if you deny location and the app cannot confirm where you are, some features may not work. Our answer on why a casino app needs your location covers this.

Login and security settings: Face ID, passwords and two-step checks

Neither store listing mentions Face ID, Touch ID or fingerprint login for the Ladbrokes Casino app, so check the app’s login screen or security settings for what your version offers. If biometric sign-in is available, Apple says Face ID data stays on the device and apps only learn whether the check succeeded.

Whatever the login method, a long unique password matters most because the same account also holds your payment details. Our guides to Face ID and Touch ID on casino apps and two-factor authentication for casino accounts explain the options. If you share a phone, turning off saved logins helps too.

Ladbrokes and Coral settings: one company, two apps

LC International Limited, part of Entain, runs both Ladbrokes and Coral under the same licence. Their casino apps are separate downloads with separate settings, and one person may not be able to hold new accounts at both.

Because they are separate apps, silencing notifications in one does nothing to the other, and you should check marketing choices in each account you hold. Our Coral vs Ladbrokes app comparison sets out the other differences, and the LadBucks explainer covers Ladbrokes’ reward currency, which the app listing says is used on arcade games.

Updates, storage and keeping the Ladbrokes app current

The iOS app needs iOS 18.0 or later and takes 101.2 MB before it stores any game data. Google Play does not show a minimum Android version on the listing page; it checks compatibility on your device instead. See the Ladbrokes iPhone app and Ladbrokes Android app pages for full store details.

Turning on automatic updates in the App Store or Google Play keeps security fixes flowing without you having to remember. Our guide to updating a casino app covers both platforms, including what to do if an update stalls.

Ladbrokes app welcome offer and an alternative

Your settings choices have no bearing on whether you can claim a welcome offer, but if you are setting up a new account the offer terms are worth knowing first. Both offers below are for adults aged 18+ and terms apply. Remember that casino play costs money and the house edge means losses are likely over time.

Ladbrokes: new customers who deposit and spend £10 or more on slots get 50 free spins a day for the first 10 days, up to 500 in total. Spins are worth 10p each on selected games, must be claimed before 23:59 each day, last 7 days and carry no wagering. Prepaid cards, PayPal, Paysafe, Neteller, Skrill and Moneybookers deposits don’t qualify. At 10p each, the full 500 spins have a face value of £50. Full detail is on the Ladbrokes app welcome bonus page.

Coral: new players who deposit (certain types excluded) and bet £10 or more on slots get 100 free spins at 10p each on selected games, a face value of £10. Accept them within 48 hours and use them within 7 days; there is no wagering on free spin winnings. The offer runs from 1 October 2026 to 1 February 2027, and Neteller, PayPal, Paysafe, Skrill, prepaid cards and certain debit cards don’t qualify.

Frequently asked questions

How do I turn off Ladbrokes Casino app notifications?

Switch them off in your phone’s settings rather than inside the app. On an iPhone, open Settings, tap Notifications, choose the Ladbrokes Casino app and turn Allow Notifications off. On Android, open App info for the app and turn its notifications off. That silences lock-screen alerts straight away, but it doesn’t stop emails or texts, which are controlled by your marketing preferences. Our notifications guide shows the steps for other apps as well.

Can I get Ladbrokes casino emails but not betting texts?

Yes, UK rules require operators to let you choose marketing by product and channel. Since 1 May 2025, online operators must offer separate choices for betting, casino and bingo, across email, SMS and phone, with everything off unless you opt in. So you can accept casino emails while refusing betting texts, or turn everything off. Look for the marketing preferences option in your Ladbrokes account settings. Our marketing consent rule page explains the full requirement.

Does the Ladbrokes app track me?

The App Store privacy label for the Ladbrokes Casino app shows no “used to track you” category. It does list data linked to your identity, including financial info, contact info, search history, identifiers and usage data, and it lists precise location and diagnostics as collected but not linked to you. Android’s data safety section says personal info and app activity are collected and shared. Our privacy label explainer helps you read these labels with confidence.

Why does the Ladbrokes app want my location?

Real-money gambling apps must be limited to places where they are licensed, and location helps with that. Apple’s rules require gambling apps to be geo-restricted, and the Ladbrokes iOS privacy label lists precise location, not linked to you. Ladbrokes’ help pages don’t say whether location services must be on, so if you deny permission and the app can’t confirm where you are, some features may not work. See can casino apps see my location for more.

Can I use Face ID on the Ladbrokes Casino app?

Neither the App Store nor Google Play listing mentions Face ID, Touch ID or fingerprint login for the Ladbrokes Casino app. Check the login screen or security area of your installed version to see what it offers. If biometric login is available, Apple says your face data never leaves the device and the app only learns whether the check succeeded. Our Face ID guide explains how biometric sign-in works on casino apps.

Why can’t I add another card in the Ladbrokes app?

Ladbrokes limits UK accounts to three active payment methods in a rolling 30-day period. If you have already used three, the app may not accept a fourth until the period moves on, so use an existing method or ask support. Credit cards are never accepted because of the UK ban. Withdrawals go back to the method you paid with. Our Ladbrokes payments page lists the methods its help centre names.

Do Ladbrokes and Coral share settings?

No, they are separate apps with separate settings, even though LC International Limited runs both. Turning off notifications in one doesn’t affect the other, and you should check marketing preferences in each account you hold. One person may not be able to open new accounts at both brands. Our Coral and Ladbrokes apps answer explains how the two compare.

Will changing my settings affect a Ladbrokes bonus?

No, notification and marketing settings don’t decide whether you qualify for an offer. Eligibility depends on the offer’s own terms, such as being a new customer, depositing with an eligible method and spending £10 or more on slots. Opting out of marketing simply means you won’t be sent promotional messages; you can still read current offers in the app. The Ladbrokes welcome bonus page lists the full terms. 18+, terms apply.
