What is the Ted Megaways slot?

Ted Megaways puts the foul-mouthed teddy bear from the Ted films on a six-reel Megaways grid. It is made by Blueprint Gaming, the studio behind Fishin' Frenzy and King Kong Cash, which is based in Newark and owned by Merkur Group.

The game combines cascading wins, a random base-game feature and a free spins round with a choice at the start. Its 50,000x ceiling is one of the higher ones among the slots in our mobile slot reviews, though the volatility is a notch below the most extreme games.

How Ted Megaways reaches 117,649 ways

On a Megaways game, the number of symbols on each reel changes every spin. Wins are counted as matching symbols on adjacent reels from the left, so the total ways is the number of symbols on each reel multiplied together.

When all six reels show their maximum of seven symbols, that is 7 × 7 × 7 × 7 × 7 × 7 = 117,649 ways. When reels show fewer symbols, the count drops sharply. The number on screen tells you how many ways that particular spin has.

How the features work in Ted Megaways

Cascading symbols

Every winning symbol is removed after it pays, and new symbols drop in to fill the space. If they make a new win, that pays too, and the cascade continues until a drop produces nothing.

Ted's ray gun

In the base game, Ted can fire his ray gun at random. It adds mystery symbols that transform into another symbol, which can help form a win on that spin. You can't trigger it on purpose.

Thunder Buddies free spins

Four scatters start the Thunder Buddies bonus, which opens with a choice. You can take 12 free spins straight away, or spin the Thunder Wheel instead. The wheel can give more spins and higher minimum Megaways for the round, but its result is random.

During the free spins, a win multiplier rises with every win. Long cascades are therefore where the round's value builds.

The published RTP of 96.03% sits just above 96%, in line with sister games such as Fishin' Frenzy Megaways at 96.10%. On average, £100 staked returns £96.03 over a very long run, and £3.97 is the house's share.

Medium-high volatility means a mix of quieter runs and occasional larger results, mostly from the free spins with a rising multiplier. Short sessions vary a lot either way.
