What the Coral Casino slots app offers
Coral publishes its casino as a separate app from its sportsbook, listed as Coral Casino: Slots & Games on the App Store and Coral™ Casino: Slots & Games on Google Play. The Google Play listing puts slots first, mentioning MEGAWAYS games and classic fruit machines by name.
What it doesn't give is a list of individual titles or studios. So treat any claim that Coral carries a particular slot with care until you have searched the app's lobby yourself. The wider Coral Casino app games page covers the table games, live casino and free-to-play sections, and our full Coral app review explains the score.
Licence check: Coral's casino is run by LC International Limited, which holds Gambling Commission account 54743. You can see that entry on the Commission's public register (opens in a new tab).
Slot types in the Coral app, and what each means
Two slot styles are confirmed by the listing. Others are common across UK apps, but Coral hasn't named them, so the table marks which is which.
| Slot type | How it works | Named by Coral? |
|---|---|---|
| Megaways | The number of symbols per reel changes each spin; six reels of up to seven symbols give 117,649 ways | Yes |
| Classic fruit machine | Simple reels, traditional fruit and bar symbols, fewer features | Yes |
| Paylines video slot | Wins pay along fixed lines across the reels | Not named |
| Cluster pays | Wins pay for groups of matching symbols touching each other | Not named |
| Hold and win | Special symbols lock in place while respins reset | Not named |
| Progressive jackpot | Part of each stake feeds a growing prize pool | Not named |
Megaways games tend to swing more from spin to spin because the reel heights change. Fruit machine styles are usually easier to follow on a small screen. Our guides to Megaways slots on mobile and jackpot slots on mobile explain the mechanics in more depth.
Slot stake limits in the Coral Casino app
Every online slot in Great Britain has a maximum stake, and Coral's app is no exception. Since 9 April 2025, players aged 25 and over can stake no more than £5 per game cycle. Since 21 May 2025, players aged 18 to 24 are limited to £2. The app uses the date of birth you verified at sign-up to apply the right cap.
| Your age | Maximum stake per spin | In force from |
|---|---|---|
| 18 to 24 | £2 | 21 May 2025 |
| 25 and over | £5 | 9 April 2025 |
| Roulette, blackjack and other non-slot games | No statutory per-spin cap | Not applicable |
A game cycle runs from the moment you start a spin until all money staked is lost or any winnings are made available to you. The Commission's stake limit guidance (opens in a new tab) gives an example: a 27-year-old who stakes £2 may be offered up to £3 more within the same game cycle, but no further. The limits apply only to reel-based slots, not to roulette or blackjack. Our slot stake limits on mobile guide explains how this looks in an app.
How to find a slot's RTP in the Coral app
Return to player (RTP) is the share of all stakes a slot is designed to pay back over a very large number of spins. The Gambling Commission's technical standards say operators must make information about your chances of winning easily available before you commit to gamble, such as the RTP, the house edge or the probability of winning. For slots, that is usually the average theoretical RTP.
- Open the slot from the Coral app's lobby, but don't spin yet.
- Look for the game's information, help or paytable screen. Many games show an 'i' or a menu icon, but the label varies by studio.
- Scroll to the game rules section and find the RTP percentage.
- If more than one RTP is shown, for example one for the base game and one with a feature, note which applies to normal play.
- Check the stake range and the maximum win in the same screen.
- Compare it with similar games before choosing what to play.
Don't rely on an RTP you saw on a review site. Wizard of Odds' slots guide (opens in a new tab) notes that a single slot title can have different RTPs in different places, so the figure inside Coral's version is the one that counts. Apps don't use lower RTPs by default; it simply depends on which version the operator offers. Our how to find the RTP in a casino app answer goes further, and the RTP information rules page sets out what must be shown.
What Coral app slots cost in pounds
RTP turns into a simple sum. Expected loss equals total staked multiplied by the house edge, and the house edge is 100% minus the RTP. A slot with a 96% RTP has a 4% edge, so on average it keeps £4 of every £100 staked. The table uses 96% only as an example, so swap in the RTP from the game's help screen.
| Stake per spin | Total staked over 100 spins | Average loss (4%) |
|---|---|---|
| 10p | £10 | £0.40 |
| 50p | £50 | £2.00 |
| £1 | £100 | £4.00 |
| £2 (cap for 18–24) | £200 | £8.00 |
| £5 (cap for 25+) | £500 | £20.00 |
Pace matters too. UK slots can't spin faster than once every 2.5 seconds, but most people take longer between spins. At a steady 10 spins a minute, an hour is 600 spins. At 50p, that's £300 staked and an average loss of about £12 at 96% RTP. Real results swing far more than these averages, especially on high-volatility games, so set a budget you're happy to lose. Our house edge by game page compares slots with table games.
Volatility: why two 96% slots feel different
RTP tells you the long-run average. Volatility tells you how bumpy the ride is. A low-volatility slot pays small amounts often, while a high-volatility slot can go a long time without much and then pay a larger sum. Two games with the same RTP can feel completely different over a 20-minute session.
With a £20 budget, the difference is easy to see. At 10p a spin, £20 covers 200 spins before any wins come back, which gives a low-volatility game time to settle. At £1 a spin, it covers only 20 spins, and a high-volatility slot could use all of them without a single feature. Many studios state volatility in the help screen; if not, our volatility glossary entry explains how to read the paytable for clues.
UK slot rules you'll notice in the Coral app
Some features that appear in slots overseas aren't offered to British players. Since 31 October 2021, UK online slots must have no autoplay, at least 2.5 seconds per spin, no turbo or slam-stop, and no celebration of a return that is less than or equal to your stake. From 17 January 2025, you also can't play more than one game at a time, and your net spend and time played must be shown in real time.
Feature buys are another difference: since a Gambling Commission warning in January 2020 (opens in a new tab), feature buy-ins are not offered to British players. See why there's no autoplay on UK casino apps and the game speed rules page for the detail behind each change.
Playing Coral slots on your phone
The iPhone app needs iOS 18.0 or later and takes 101.6 MB in the App Store, before any game data it downloads later. Slots are generally built in HTML5, so most work in portrait or landscape, but the orientation depends on the individual game rather than the app.
- Use Wi-Fi for long sessions if you have a small data allowance; our casino app data usage guide explains why.
- Turn on your phone's low-power mode if you notice battery drain during play.
- Keep the app updated, because updates can fix crashes and security issues.
- Use Screen Time on iPhone or Digital Wellbeing on Android to set a daily time limit for the app.
If a spin is interrupted by a lost connection, the outcome is generally settled on the casino's servers rather than on your phone. Our guide on what happens if you lose signal during a spin explains how to check your history.
Coral Casino slots app welcome offer
Coral's welcome offer is aimed squarely at slot players. It's 18+ and terms apply. New players deposit (certain types excluded) and bet £10 or more on slots to get 100 free spins on selected games at 10p each. Accept them within 48 hours, use them within 7 days, and keep any winnings with no wagering. The offer runs from 1 October 2026 to 1 February 2027.
Neteller, PayPal, Paysafe, Skrill, prepaid cards and certain debit cards don't qualify. The spins have a face value of £10 (100 × 10p). If the selected game had a 96% RTP, the average return from them would be about £9.60, but individual results vary a lot. The Coral welcome bonus page has the full breakdown.
Ladbrokes Casino, also run by LC International Limited, spreads its spins over 10 days instead. It's 18+ and terms apply: new customers who deposit and spend £10 or more on slots get 50 free spins a day for 10 days (500 maximum), worth 10p each on selected games. Each day's spins must be claimed before 23:59 and used within 7 days, with no wagering. Prepaid cards, PayPal, Paysafe, Neteller, Skrill and Moneybookers deposits don't qualify. Frequently asked questions
Is there a Coral slots app?
Yes, Coral's slots are in its dedicated casino app, called Coral Casino: Slots & Games on the App Store and Coral™ Casino: Slots & Games on Google Play. It's separate from the Coral sportsbook app. The listing names Megaways and classic fruit machines among its slots, alongside table games and live casino. The iPhone version needs iOS 18.0 or later. Setup steps are on our Coral iPhone app page.
What is the maximum bet on Coral slots?
The maximum slot stake in the Coral app is £5 a spin if you're 25 or over, or £2 if you're 18 to 24. These are legal limits that apply to every online slot in Great Britain, not Coral's own choice. They came in on 9 April 2025 and 21 May 2025. Individual games may set a lower maximum. Our online slot stake limits page explains the rule in full.
How do I check the RTP of a slot in the Coral app?
Open the slot and look in its help, information or paytable screen before you spin. UK rules require operators to make information about your chances of winning, such as the RTP, easily available before you gamble. Use the figure shown in Coral's version, because one title can have different RTPs in different markets. Our guide to finding a game's RTP in an app shows what to look for.
Does Coral have Megaways slots?
Yes, the Coral Casino app's Google Play listing names MEGAWAYS games among its slots. It doesn't list which Megaways titles are included, so search the lobby for a specific game. Megaways games change the number of symbols on each reel every spin, with up to 117,649 ways to win on a six-reel layout. Our guide to which casino apps have Megaways slots compares other apps.
Why can't I use turbo spin on Coral slots?
Turbo spin isn't allowed on any UK-licensed slot, so you won't find it in the Coral app. Since 31 October 2021, Gambling Commission rules have banned turbo, quick spin and slam-stop features, and each slot spin must take at least 2.5 seconds. The aim is to slow the pace of play and reduce the risk of harm. Our page on whether you can turbo spin on a UK casino app has more.
Can I buy bonus features on Coral slots?
No, feature buys aren't offered to players in the Coral app or other UK apps. Since a Gambling Commission warning in January 2020, feature buy-ins are not offered to British players. The Commission had found games letting players pay large sums to skip straight to a bonus round. You reach features through normal spins instead. Our online game design rules page covers the other UK slot rules.
Do Coral welcome free spins have wagering?
No, there's no wagering on winnings from Coral's welcome free spins. New players (18+, terms apply) who bet £10 or more on slots get 100 free spins at 10p each on selected games. The spins must be accepted within 48 hours and used within 7 days, and some payment methods don't qualify. Our explainer on what no wagering means on a casino app covers how this type of offer works.
Can I play Coral slots for free?
Coral's listing mentions free-to-play games with real-money prizes, but it doesn't say whether its slots have a demo mode. Any free-to-play game still requires you to be 18 or over and age-verified, under UK rules. Check the app for a demo option on the slot you want. Our guide to demo mode on casino apps explains what free play looks like in UK apps.
